Raspberry cheesecake recipe help
submitted over 4 years ago by cloudJR

So I’ve been trying to get this recipe sorted and I don’t want to waste anymore flavoring so I’m going to ask for some professional help haha. This is what I’m using. Also my body doesn’t react to PG well so I only use Real Flavors for my recipes.

RF Raspberry

RF Cheesecake

RF Graham Cracker (this just arrived 2 days ago)

I’m currently at 6% raspberry and 4% cheesecake and the flavor is sorely lacking compared to a 10% RF ice cream sundae mix I have. What percentage would you recommend and if I include RF graham cracker what percentages do you think would give me a solid flavor profile?

Thanks in advance!

Do you have other flavors which could be used as a support? Maybe a Strawberry, some cream?

Have you looked up the average used percentages?

The old line from RF doesn't get used much anymore. They were not that great back in the day.

It’s not terrible but then again it’s all I know lol. Yeah it’s like 10%-ish which is strange that I’m getting such weak flavor. I know VG doesn’t carry flavor like PG but it’s super bland. As far as I’m aware it’s like the only flavor producer that only uses VG so I’m sort of stuck. Well I know about ECBlends but their selection is very limited.

VG based flavors have always needed twice/three times as long to steep. They also need to be thoroughly mixed.

But it doesn't matter if those flavors aren't very good. It's not going to change anything sadly. Some of their og VG line were usable, but the others were not.

That's true. Typically my mixes need like 3+ weeks to really shine. Hell this graham cracker honestly smells like medicine but based off the reviews it's good so I'll give a new mix about a month and go from there.

This week's flavor of the week is red raspberry. It'll get posted shortly. I'd say keep a close eye on it, watch noted next monday, and then buy some flavors at 10% off at bcf that sound good. Toss those on the cheesecake trinity and be a happy camper.

Off topic, but are ”all” RF flavors VG? Is RF SC the same?

Hey Kuri;)). No. Not all RF flavors are VG-based. Ed posted above that the SC line is PG-based. But don’t forget, any RF flavors that you don’t buy directly from the Canadian vendor are most likely old stock.

Curious but somewhat off topic: when your using VG based flavors what kind of device to you use to vape them? I've always thought the idea of max vg was interesting, but worried about viscosity.

Do you use pre made coils or do you build your own? Mesh is honestly pretty tough to get right but I’ve personally never had any issues with single coil attys. I’m mainly an RDA/squonk user so dry hits just aren’t a thing for me. I’m sure dual coils handle it just fine as long as you comb your wicks well.

I mostly use pre-built coils [tfv16,tfv18, falcon 2, zues]

I do have an rda (redemption), It's been awhile since I used it though. Might build on it today and try a 100% vg mix. Thx
