• u/-DixxleRoo- deserves more upvotes for all the work that goes into Notes for Noted EVERY week. If you’ve ever watched the show, imagine trying to take down comprehensive notes on 3 hosts and 1-2 guests as they go over their opinion on 20-50 flavors... You couldn’t pay me to do that. Upvotes are free, give them out more freely!

• u/fizzmustard had me asking “What year is it?” The winner of Best Recipe circa 2014 and lauded creator of the ubiquitous Mustard Milk is back at it again with a remix of his original remix Nana Cream. It has one of the most mediocre flavors I’ve ever tried but who am I to argue with a legend.

 

##Tip of the Week:

Want to post a clone request to the front page where way more people will see it? This one simple trick will tie the hands of any pesky draconian mod. All you have to do to get around rule 4 is never mention the name of the juice you’re trying to clone. Yes, that’s it! Just go on describing how you’d like your mix to taste, maybe even mention what you’ve tried or the flavors you have on hand to complete the ~~clone~~ mix, flair your post as Recipe Help and watch the recommendations roll in.

 

##The Review:

Last week I said I’d mix u/Kittybit8’s recipe and, well, I lied (kind of) it turns out I’m missing 3 of the flavors for Banana Waffle Trouble and 2 of those I actually have but they’re SSA, so I’m giving them away. Instead I decided to mix up a different recipe of his and, as a bonus, share the recipe I made that was inspired by his lust for licorice.

Black Drums of War - Of course I picked a licorice recipe because that’s what Kitty is known for and it means I didn’t have to have any forethought when it came to steeping. From the description: “Super simple no bullshit recipe.” so I’ll keep the review the same. Kitty likes to refer to black licorice as “Black Gold” and in the same vein this FA/CAP combination he’s come up with is Black Platinum. It tastes authentic, full, and surprisingly well rounded for 2 flavors. The addition of Peppermint really elevates the whole thing into ADV territory IMO, with every exhale being refreshing. My only critique would be the choice of Meringue for sweetness, I would probably use something else if that were the only role it was filling but he also mentions “texture” so, without trying it both ways, I can’t really call it unnecessary. Might try to mix some up with FA Oba Oba like I used in my tribute to Kitty, Technicolor Viking
