As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a category of flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.
This week, this is also where you can comment to win the Dessert Flavor Pack ($70 value!) from Flavorah.
This pack includes: Brie Cheese, Cheesecake, Cream and Cookies, Creme de Menthe, Graham Cracker, Greek Yogurt, Marshmallow Treat, Milk, Popcorn, Red Velvet, Smooth Vanilla, Smore, Toffee, Vanilla Bean, Whipped Cream, and White Chocolate.
#This week's flavor is... SHERBET and SORBET!!!
How did that get to be the FOTW?
It was requested!
>If something you want to see be the Flavor of the Week isn't listed among upcoming FOTWs, please take this opportunity and comment to request one that interests you (or send me a PM to do that).

What's with all these suggestions for requests? I'll let /u/OdieDoodah Explain.
I only have experience with VT Fizzy Sherbet so far. It's definitely not anything remotely close to American sherbet that you get in the freezer section. It tastes more like pixie sticks to me. I'm definitely interested in finding a great sherbet flavor. I've been mixing ice cream for awhile now and I'm ready to explore the sherbet aspect.
Sherbet is traditionally a combination of citric acid and sugar. I don't know what perversions Americans have done with it but it's the consistency of icing sugar and I used to have it with a stick of black liquorice in a tube.
Mixed it with milk and frozen it. That's the perversion we've done. There are worse things we could have done, as perversions go.
It's supposed to taste kind of like Pixie Sticks, that's the trouble I expect to run into trying sherbet flavors. Some are supposed to taste like the low fat fruity ice cream thing we have in the USA and some are supposed to taste like the pixie-stick-ish candy the call sherbet in Europe. How can two such different things have the same name?
>Oct 19 - Oct 25 | Something Halloweeny, maybe? You Decide!
My sadistic sense of humor wants to suggest PUCKER POWER!
It's Halloween - gotta be a bit Monstrous - right?
TFA Sour, FA Sour Wizard, CAP Powerful Sour, FW Sour, LB Sour, LA Tart & Sour, VT Sour Mate - several fruits like VT Sour Lemon, CAP Tart Cherry, CAP Tangy Orange - and throw in a handful of candy like LB Sour Gummy, WF Sour Ball Candy, FW Sweet Tarts.
This. Is. Dope.
Wasn't it enough that one man lost his mind chasing The Sherb'?
Lucky for us that bulldog of a man was trying to perfectly clone a specific commercial sherbety flavored juice. Surely just making a sherbet that tastes good, possibly even better than the “Sherb,” can’t be that hard, right? Right?
I don’t want to cause anyone to have mental health issues. We’ll shut this FOTW down if it’s too dangerous.
when was this, any link
I think they might be talking about this.
#gme to fucking moon. Hold the line
I just like seeing how mad Wall Street is that the poors are doing a capitalism
I purchased VT Fizzy Sherbet for u/ID10-T ‘s 1-2-3 Cranberry Sprite Mix.
I never mixed it with cranberry (sshh don’t tell him). I have mixed it with watermelon, orange, apple and blueberries though and every one of them turned out to be excellent.
Watermelon, you say?
How is the CAP Lemon-Lime on tanks? I've shied away from lemon and citrus as I don't want to risk any of my gear.
Or is the "tank-cracker" sterotype a thing of old?
OOO rainbow sherbet is very very sneaky on the steep. Off the shake and during the first 72 hours it tastes wonderful. Let it steep for an extended period of time and a crazy pungent Lemon comes out to thoroughly dominate a mix.
Edit, it does pair with CAP cereal 27 very well to create a tasty fruity cereal.
I know it doesn't really fit in here this week aside from the name, but Fizzy Sherbet is one of my favorite flavors. Looking forward to seeing what the flavor list is like this week
Arab sharbat is like a flat soda. Sweet refreshing sugar drink if that is what you’re into.
As a fruit junkie, I’m literally tempted to use VT Fizzy Sherbet in every recipe... Looking forward to seeing if other sherbs have the same supernatural power!
You're right - VT Fizzy Sherbet is magical. But despite it's name, it doesn't fit in with this FOTW. We're talking about American Sherbet - a cousin of ice cream - as /u/apocalypticdiynewb noted above.
Here's a list of the flavors we're talking about - Flavor Facts - Sherbet
VT Fizzy Sherbet is what came to mind, but I don't know if that's actually a sherbet. It's good though - but I can't really describe what it tastes like.
LB Rainbow Sherbet was one of the first flavors I ordered, and man was it disappointing. No real flavor, and harsh as fuck.
It tastes like powdery, slightly fizzy, sugary lemon-flavored candy
Like Pixie Sticks and Pop Rocks had a lemon-flavored baby
And I can say as a person from an eastern european country close to turkey it's the closest I've had to what we refer to as sherbet (and I think the original is Turkish so most likely our sherbet is the real and the American one is... Well an Americanised thing? Defo interested to try it one day tho).
Fuck I love sherbets.
I have genuinely been waiting for this. A friend of mine asked me to make a raspberry sorbet, and I have been disappointed by a few different flavors, so I can't wait to hear you guys talk about them.
Aswell as that it took me forever to find out why you guys all talk about sherbet (which is flavoured sugar powder here) the way you do.
Also VTA sorbet base is.. a destructive force. It likes to dominate and destroy any flavor it comes in contact with. It's like a minty eraser for other flavors. Sad times.
Powdered sugar i.e confectioners sugar also known as icing sugar mixed with citric acid is basic version of what sherbet is here in Oz. Commonly called Whizz Fizz and you can also add flavored jelly crystals if you like. There are variations on this using baking soda too.
Took wolfwheeler's Sajin and remixed it as this:
Sajin Sorbet
Cereal 27 (CAP) @ 0.5
Graham Cracker (FW) @ 1.5
Pumpkin Spice (FLV) @ 1.25
Yam (FLV) @ 1.5
Yes, We Cheesecake (INW) @ 3.5
Cream Cheese Icing (LA) @ 1.5
Fizzy Sherbet (VTA) @ 2
WS-23 @ 1
Sugar Cane (VTA) @ 0.75
I have never vaped a sherbet flavor. I’m showing about 5 sherbet flavors at Bull city. You have Rainbow Sherbet by MB, FW, TPA and LB and a VT Fizzy sherbet. Do you use a combo of these flavors to perfect or can sherbet be made with other flavors? I don’t even really know what sherbet consists of. 🤯
I like all the sherbet In the freezer section. Pineapple being my fav, lime close second. Great idea for a show for sure. I have zero sherbet flavors for mixing, will be very helpful for me. Thanks gang!
My only flavor is VT Fizzy Sherbet which I bought to try out 1-2-3 Cranberry Sprite and I'm so glad I did. Delicious.
Glad you liked it. Any thoughts on what would be good to replace the cranberry for a different version? I already did coconut.
I'd love a pineapple. I only have TPA Pineapple Juicy, VTA Sugarloaf Pineapple and Molinberry Pineapple Lassi and haven't single flavor tested them so I don't know if any of those would work.
Grapefruit might be fun.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a vapable sherbet flavor... I mean there's sherbety flavors out there, sure. Just none that I've found palatable for me. 😷
So I'm about to try 14 of them, you're saying I'm probably not going to have a fun time?
Sorbet and sherbet are two different things. Sorbet is a frozen sweet flavored water, somewhat close to what is called slushy in US. Sherbet on the other hand is caucasian, iranian sweet brick of something like nougat with nuts. I guess if I am right you will have two quite opposite flavor profiles to test :)
Sherbet in the US is like ice cream but fruit flavored and with less milkfat than most ice creams (it's made with just milk, no heavy cream) and no eggs which some ice creams have and some don't, but sherbet never does
I have tried 3-4 Sherbet Ice Cream flavors in vaping and so far Nicotine River’s Rainbow Sherbet is the only one I have found to not be a harsh abomination of weird off notes, with that being said it doesn’t have a very strong flavor. To me it’s more reminiscent of a flavorless sherbet, maybe something you throw other fruits ontop of? I single flavor tested it at 4%, I haven’t had a chance to try it at 2% or 6% yet.
I had high hopes for VT Fizzy Sherbet. I was looking for a carbonated something but another way to change an ice cream. For me it just turned out to be a lime with some slight carbonation. There’s an ice cream shop here that has sherbet but I don’t think VT Fizzy Sherbet comes close. I’m not saying it’s a bad flavor, it’s a great flavor, just not what I expected from my limited knowledge of what sherbet tastes like around the world
This flavor has my interest for sure... Who doesn’t love a good sherbet ice cream? Totally off the topic of sherbet profile ........Here is something I’ve been vaping on if you’d like to give it a try please feel free. Let me know what you think. Thank you in advance ( Its my take on a gorilla Warfare 270 reloaded )

I'm new to making eJuice, recipes do you guys recommend with this mix? I've been doing oneshots, but I'm really excited to create my own flavors, I've been a bit too afraid to throw money on a pack like this, but I'm told that packs like these are good to experiment with.
You mean recipes that use the flavors in the flavor pack that someone is going to win?
yes
I don't know of any great recipes using only the flavors in the pack, but I bet someone could easily make one.

I don't have anything for Marshmallow Treat. I don't think it's a very good flavor, TBH. All the packs have at least one dud in there.
