Like mango, I never liked commercial juice that had "blueberry" in the profile. It was always terrible -- every single last one of them. Unlike mango I've had plenty of blueberries IRL and love 'em. Great in pancakes, smoothies, or just plain.
About a year and a half ago a friend asked me for a blueberries and cream, milkshake, or ice cream. I tried quite a few recipes and was surprised that I liked blueberry in a vape. So many flavors I abhorred in commercial juice yet here's another one that tastes great to me DIY.
Custard was another one of those profile I didn't enjoy much in commercial lines. Out of all the custards I tried I thought two were palatable but mostly on my avoid list. Who knew they all used CAP VC? I sure didn't.
No surprise that when I found a DIY blueberry custard it was tasty af and by one of my favorite mixers, u/EdibleMalfunction's Blue Monday.
The Rule7 product description is simply: "Warm blueberries in a rich vanilla custard."
I get a nice sweet blueberry with the tiniest bit of tart on top of a rich vanilla custard throughout. A bit of butteriness. No off notes, lots of mouth feel, and a soft and sweet vanilla cream that lingers afterwards. So tasty that I already have the next bottle steeping for when I finish this one.
