Question about 99juices
submitted over 4 years ago by TheRealBobSacamono

So I’m sure we’ve all ran across this website at some point. I’ve personally never had the balls to mix any of the recipes as they seem very outdated but I remember when I was first starting to mix it was a site that popped up in searches a lot. But as far as I know I’ve never really known anyone to use it and I’ve never heard anyone even mention it to be honest.

How are they still around if seemingly nobody uses it. Do they essentially just pop up in the searches of new mixers and get their site traffic that way? It’s something that always made me wonder, and I just realized I’ve never once heard anyone ever mention the site.

I actually tried a Sucker Punch clone off there a while back. It wasn't half bad... That being said, I think that was the only recipe I came across on there that seemed like it might play.

Hi. If you sort by newest, you‘ll see it‘s still being used, but only by the few same individuals. No one mentions the site because most DIY mixers use ATF and ELR. Both are huge recipe databases, more than you‘ll ever be able to mix. I doubt you‘ll find any jewels on the few other obscure sites.

I really don't know, but I wouldn't advise using any recipes from that site.

Yeah I wouldn’t dare. I’m just curious as to how they’re still around and whatnot. Doesn’t seem like a viable business model but I don’t know anything about running a website either so maybe I’m just missing something.

But I agree, I don’t see how any recipe on that site would work under any circumstance. I always figured they were recipes from 2014 since it’s all TPA basically.

Ads. People new to mixing are probably searching for clone recipes

Yeah that would actually make a lot of sense. That actually clears it up pretty well.

I can’t help but feel bad for those people that see a clone recipe on there and buy all the supplies and mix it up only to find it’s not really consumable. Would turn a lot of ppl off to DIY. Really kinda sucks :/
