I need mixing suggestions for pods.
submitted over 4 years ago by Tunguch

So I have some flavourings I want to mix together. I am aiming for a simple, sweet apple vape.

TFA Green Apple

CAP Double Apple

CAP Super Sweet

And I also have some 28mg 70/30 salt base.

I should probably use more than the usual amounts, since I am going to vape this in a caliburn. Any suggestions on percantages?

Or any flavouring suggestions to add? I have a few other (non apple related) tfa and cap flavourings as well.

Hi. Please read this Mixing for pods. And don‘t just increase % unless you like floral, plastic, chemical vapes. Start at the average % used on ATF and adjust from there.

Thank you! That is a good read.

I was rather looking for personal opinions from people who have used these specific flavours in a caliburn before, if that makes sense. I find flavours to taste different in a caliburn for some reason, even compared to my mtl setups.

I find that, for pods, a 60% or 50% vg worked well. The additional pg also carries flavor a little better (imo). I start with all flavoring % the same when I convert a standard (or DTL, freebase) recipe to a pod (or MTL, nic salt) mix. I'll adjust from there. Worked nicely for me. Also keep in mind that mtl vaping inherently produces much less vapor- so the flavor youre tasting is the same vs DTL but with less exposure to your tongue and nose (not as much lingering flavor) IMO.

Yup. I like vg around 55-60 for the caliburn. It starts to spit >55% vg for me. Thanks for the suggestions.

Not sure if you’re aware, but when you try that recipe I posted you can hit mix, put in your 28mg 70/30 base, desired nic content and VG/PG and it’ll calculate everything for you! Be sure to mix by weight not volume!

Thank you!

Yes, I am aware. I have mixed my own juice for sub-ohm and mtl setups for a few years. But caliburn is a different beast and my old recipes taste awful or muted on it, while commercial pod juices taste amazing.

I only have a vape ready base at hand, but it should be fine since I enjoy vaping anything with 50-65 % vg and 20-30 mg/ml nic content.

Pod devices really are their whole own thing haha. All my recipes taste muted so I raise most flavors 50%. Commercial pods juice is the one commercial juice that I truly love. It’s something else haha. I’ve actually got 5x 30mls on the way

I feel the same, but nothing salt under 35mg is available where I live. Also, they are getting harder to find since it is illegal to sell juice in turkey (diy supplies are legal and can be found plenty tho. cap, tfa, inw, fa and fw are mostly available).

I have a recipe you might like to try over on e-liquid-recipes.com.

It's a delicious sweet, slightly tangy apple vape that resembles an Envy apple in flavor.

Wombat's Dad's Envy

You can sub other brands of the flavors listed, but I wouldn't recommend subbing green apple for green apple candy... they are totally different flavors!

For use, in a pod, adjust the base VG/PG to 60/40 or 50/50 and the nic strength to whatever you want it and that should be all you need to do.

It's one of my favorites in my ADV rotation.

Thank you! How is river's fuji apple compared to fa's? It is impossible for me to find anything from river.

It is just as good. In my opinion, there is little difference.

I have not as I don’t have TFA Apple. Thought it up just now for you :))
