Adding ws23 in an existing mixed juice
submitted over 4 years ago by roryh19

I recently bought a premade juice (added base mix, flavour concentrates and nic shots 3mg) - 70/30 ratio. Been steeping it for a week. The juice has a bit of cooling already - did a knuckle test and felt that It needed a bit more cooling. I’m basically a noob in this. I was thinking of buying ws23. Do I just put in a few drops into my juice or what’s the best way to do this? I was looking online people say - put 1% or 2% but not sure what that means... what’s that in ml?

A recipe I mix regularly has 1% ws23 in it and it can give me a brain freeze 😹 I'd start at .25 and go up from there 👍

Hi. Before you add more coolant to your eliquid, vape it. A knuckle test tells you nothing of how it vapes. Don’t ruin it by adding too much. After test vaping it, if it’s not cold enough, I‘d start low by adding 0.25-0.5% of WS-23 (0.25-0.5ml) because the store bought mix already contains coolant. Good luck.

Definitely start with just a few drops. If the juice you have is already semi-cool, 2% WS-23 would likely ruin it for you. Hell, 2% might ruin a juice on its own regardless.

I use WS-23 around 0.25%-0.375% in most of my fruit mixes, which ends up being 5 or so drops for a 60ml bottle. I find it adds a pleasant level of cooling without going overboard. YMMV but it's easy to overdo.

All I'm saying, really, is that you can't unmix once you've mixed. Start small.

Skip to 48:28 for notes on WS-23 and to see Dave's misery trying it at 5%. (When they talk about 10% or 30% dilutions, it refers to the strength of the WS-23 in its own bottle, NOT the % used in the mix. Nothing to worry about, just please don't put 10% WS-23 in anything.)

If you aren’t weighing with a scale, a good start is one drop per 10ml. That’s like 0.25%. Just start low and add if needed. Also, a tolerance can be had by vaping WS-23 too often. That stuff is strong and some people with tolerances take it to 1% or more which to me, is nuts

I laid off the coolant for a while and then tried a recipe I was vaping over the summer with 1.25% WS-23. Instant headache, lol. Lowered it down to 0.65% and it was much much better. Tolerance is real.

I love me some icy cool juice. 2% WS-23 works great in some recipes where 1% is too much in others. As others have said start out lightly. WS-23 has its own steeping period. In my opinion it needs at least 24-48 hours to settle into juice and lose its weird off taste. Start out at like .25 or .50 and give it very good shake then let it settle on a day or two. Vape it and see what's what.

Good morning. Are you using a scale to measure? They are saying % because it’s how you find out how many ml/grams you should be adding into your juice. You can check the side bar for instructions on how to mix your first bottle and it’ll make more sense. Also, there are links to free website calculators such eliquidrecipes.com. 1 ml is approximately equal to 1 gram, so it’s easiest to use a scale.
