Am I missing out?
submitted over 4 years ago by menahs_

So I’m a westerner but live and work in Indonesia. Actually we have a pretty vibrant vape scene here and I have made a few friends who have small lines as well.

The problem I have is the flavors...here it’s pretty much TFA/CAP/FW and a few FA.

It’s not possible to get ahold of any of the “newer” flavour vendors such as ooo/wf/Vt etc etc

Basically we’re trapped in 2015 here, and we’re all using the same flavorings.

And it shows...all of the juices in the market here, they’re not bad by any stretch but they all share the same characteristics, you taste the same Bavarian cream in a ton of store bought juices, you taste the same TFA western in all the tobaccos.

I drop by here to read and lurk, mix up a few tasty looking mixes yet it’s now at the point where I feel like I’m missing out, so many WF/VT/FLV etc that I have no access to, am I missing out? Are these flavorings much better than the tfa cap fa fw you lot were all using in 2015 and over here in Indo were still using today?

I actually have my own small line on the side in a few stores here and was contacted by the marketing lady from an Indonesian flavoring company called “Graine” she sent me their line in 30ml samples to test and and they’re steeping at the moment...going off the smell alone I’m not too hopeful, but has anyone in the west heard of them?

Never heard of Graine before.

The brands you have access to you aren't bad by any means. Many of the flavors are still being used today. But there are definitely newer, better, more diverse flavors out now. Some vendors have even taken up the mantle of improving upon many staple flavors (Looking at you, JF!)

Hi. What’s important is that you have flavorings that are on the safer side to vape and you are off of cigarettes. Sure there are always better flavors, newer concoctions, but that isn’t everything. Keep on vaping and stay safe.

Poor you, I can't imagine living my life without INW shisha strawberry or INW shisha vanilla at this point 😳

I live in the US and only have ever used the flavors you use. I've never used OOO or WF or VT. Most of mine are TFA FLV INW or Cap. Honestly most of my favorites are from Inawera. I like the Shisha Vanilla and their cactus flavors.

If there is no way of getting them for you then why would you even think about it? If there is a way, then you should get them.

Are these other flavorings better? There are probably a lot of flavors you would like better than what you have now, but it's all subjective anyway. These other brands have as many -both shitty and good flavors as the brands you have right now. Be sure to research before you go all out with ordering.

I've not seen the brand Graine in the EU so far.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, the consensus seems to be that whilst having access to more flavoring companies is always a nice thing, it doesn’t mean I am missing out in a round about sense.

@vergeard what makes me think about it is when lurking here there are certain trinity groupings or certain flavorings that seem to have no counterpart, so it’s only human nature to be curious and ponder how good are they in comparison to what everyone was using before.

If I were you, I'd try to get my flavors from Chef's Flavors (UK) (free worldwide shipping over 60 pounds I think) and from Hangseng.. You should find a possibility to buy them in China.

Most of the flavors you mentioned are also the most used flavors in the west, as they're the cheapest. So every juice company will favorize them in their juices to save costs. That's common knowledge.
