4mm ID big meaty coil, don't try to push it too low.
Agree I usually build 3mm and probably was using a simple round and wasn't too impressed so it was collecting dust then came across this review saying 4mm fancy coil is where it shines... plopped in a framed staple fused and loving it. Also agree with that review that it's like a wasp nano in a restricted deck with recurve airflow. I'm liking it over both and along with the Reload S it's my top single coil squonker atm.
I've yet to find a use case where anything more complex than fused clapton coils did anything for me aside from increase how many watts I used but 4x30/40g stainless fused, 6 wraps with a 4mm ID is just about perfect for the C4.
Yeah, I stuck that in there because it was premade one I had lying around--tho just .18ohms. I actually also mainly use quad 30/40 just Ni90. I sometimes do lower resistance because I tend to prefer warmer vapes for some cream/custards. I usually do 3mm, likely because I use to mainly have dual setups. Only recently been finding 3.5mm - 4mm can make a difference on some singles.
Just because that is someone else's favorite RDA doesn't necessarily mean that it is the right one for you. Personally, I wasn't all that impressed by the C4. I have other RDAs that I like a whole lot better.
Curious which ones you like. I’m always looking for suggestions.
I have found it helps to raise the coil up after you install it
