Strange Pulp in Flavor Concentrate?
submitted over 4 years ago by Pufferpops

Whats up peeps. I am practically a beginner in mixing and just had some concentrates from LNW arrive. One of the flavors was Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (TFA) and has a pulpy-like substance that gathers at the bottom of the bottle. When shaken its practically a snowglobe. Is this normal/safe?

EDIT: Look like after several shake and waits, whatever substance that was has completely dissolved. Maybe just natural separation? False Alarm!

It's pretty common for AP to fall out of solution when it's cold

Truly?! I live in Washington State and its currently colder than a witches titty in a brass bra up here so this may be what happened while in shipping.

Apexified is correct. We see this question a thousand times every winter with AP, sweeteners, malted milk, menthol, and a handful of other flavors. It can be alarming at first but it is normal for AP and just needs to be warmed and shaken up. This is also one of the reasons manufactures don't recommend storing flavorings in a refrigerator.

This is a relief. Strangely, when I looked up 'Acetyl Pyrazine 5% cloudy' or something similar on google nothing popped up for me. Maybe searching directly in Reddit search would have been better. Thank you for the help and assurances.

Haha I’m in WA too. It’s gonna get colder soon!

I will take your answer as the correct one as this fits with my situation the most and sounds sensible. You have also likely experienced the same as we live in similarly cold areas. Thank you for the help. I will pretend you didn't say its gonna get colder...

I Work in a vape shop and got some aroma home, i had the same issue. When it got warmer, it was back to normal

I worked in a vape shop that mixed juices for customers, and many flavors repeatedly did that.. we'd shake it and keep using/selling it, and everything was fine.. (this happened to juice that wasn't expired, but eventually if we thought it was old, we dump it)

It will happen when it gets cold. But if you want proof. Go to the web site for The Flavor Apprentice. In the FAQ, look for shelf life. It is a pdf. It will tell you all about it.

Better yet, take a picture of it and have them send you another one. Don’t vape it.

Unfortunately the pulpy-substance has fully dissolved and now looks normal. I will throw it and buy another just in case. Hopefully this does not occur twice. Thank you for the help.

Chuck it and don’t buy from that source.

Guess I will follow your advice. I will take the risk and buy another from LNW. They are certainly a well reputed source after all. Thank you.
