As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a category of flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.
This week, this is also where you can comment to win the Bakery Assortment 2 Flavor Pack ($70 value!) from Flavorah.
This pack includes: Wheat, Waffle, Vanilla Pudding, Tricks Cereal, Pumpkin Bread, Pralines, Pastry Zest, Oatmeal Raisin, Maple Bar, Lembas Bread, Fried Dough, Donuts, Cinnamon Roll, Chocolate Deutsch, Bruell, and Berry Cheesecake.
#This week's flavor is... TOAST!!!
How did that get to be the FOTW?
It was requested!
>If something you want to see be the Flavor of the Week isn't listed among upcoming FOTWs, please take this opportunity and comment to request one that interests you (or send me a PM to do that).

What's with all these suggestions for requests? I'll let /u/OdieDoodah Explain.
I’m starting to realize that I have an absolutely immense lack of flavors. Guess that’s ok for being a week into this.
Yeah, over time you'll build your collection up. Like your significant other might say you have too many flavors. And you're thinking I guess it's best I don't let them know about the big box with all the flavors in it.
OOO Strawberry Jam is described as Strawberry Jam and Toast.
Though ..
I don't taste any toast, nor strawberry - Just jam. Nondescript jam.
Do I like it anyway? Yes.
Would I want to mix with it? Hell yes.
for me it has to be SA pain grille (toast) . use at 0.25 for the toasted edge of say a bread pudding , use at 0.75 for medium/well done toast , use at no more than 1% for very well done toast . do not use above 1% . needs a steep .SFT will be blah but it works in a recipe . add little ap-ness for more crunch ( perhaps a drop or two of ap or cereal 27) . it is not really bready (think of toasted French baguette ) so if you want this add say joy or croissant or crepe - you get the idea . of course you'll need to add butter and jam/jelly/marmalade/peanut butter . if you SFT this at say 0.75 you'll think it is weak/barely present but it stands up to strong flavours in a mix, increasing percentage does not help , you just get more burnt , over 1% to me just gives you ashy/acrid/gnarly .
here's a few recipes (not mine) that look interesting

I think I really messed up by not picking this one up. I do have SA Breakfast, though, which is apparently just Pain Grille plus jam.
SA Breakfast I have. Tested at 6%. In the first week it was not good. The toast side is burnt. The strawberry a bit nauseous. Came back to it after another week, the strawberry had settled down a bit, and vapable this time round. Toast is still burnt. After a month it had all balanced out a bit. Not terrible. Def needs a long steep.
Tried adding some VTA Butter and VTA Raw Sugar, and worked out well, smoothing out the burnt note. Jam can be backed by a second strawberry for sure.
If the profile appeals, could be a flavor to work around. Haven't tried other Toasts, so cannot compare.
Except of course for the incredible MrBurgundy's Toasted recipe, which is incredibly accurate to its name, and is built in a mind blowing manner IMO. Thumbs up to you MrBurgundy....
Have you had OOO French toast? Curious about it, but as we know OOO flavors are hit or miss for most people.
Is that picture appropriate for an 18+ sub? VCC would frown upon it 😆.
This is one FOTW I'm sure to be adding more flavors to my ever growing cart.
I think it might be OK with VCC, neither of those two pieces of toast appear to be using a dildo.
Recently picked up OoO Wheat Bread. Off a shake it's gross, light chocolate powder notes is really all I get.
I want to say after around 2 weeks+ it still had powdered chocolate but gave more of just a crust of a slice of wheat bread. Not the soft loafs you'd pick up in the bread aisle, more that dark, hard deli baked stuff.
RFSC strawberry jam with toast tested at 0.5% 2% and 5%...the first 2 taste like burnt toast with a hint of warm, faint and not so good strawberry....at 5% it taste like burnt toast with burnt plastic.... Rf vg french toast tested at 5% 8% and 10%....all taste the same but just more potent, 8 or 10 is the way to go for me, it taste exactly like a French toast...even the texture is there. I find it a little bit harsh so I have to pair it with custard or cream. Made a recipe 2 months: french toast at 8% cap vcv1 at 3 and flv rich cinnamon at 0.15 and it was simple but delicious.
I dont have any toast concentrates yet but definitely excited to hear about them so I know what to pick up. Been watching for a while now but due to my work schedule its been hard to catch the lives so I'm really glad the time changed. Thank you for all the hard work you put in and everything you do for us.
The picture makes me think of the cinnamon toast crunch sad lad guy. Like this picture is a picture of him and his missus before he made irreversible change to be a cinnaman. His missus didn't like the cut of his jib after that. So she left him, and he wound up being incredibly depressed and tries to self harm with a butter knife. "I used to have it all, it all went sourdough"
I don't have any toast flavors. What a crummy FOTW
A crummy FOTW is the yeast of my problems, but I hear you. I only have six flavors this week: WF Bread (Butter Toast), RFSC Strawberry Jam with Toast, RFSC Apple Jam with Toast, SA Breakfast, Fantasy Jam on Toast, and Just Jam Strawberry Toast.
I honestly have no "toast" flavors... Closest I can come is a Corn Bread recipe? Sorry...
