I know we love our 3-2-1 recipes. They’re easy, they’re tasty, and gosh darn it they’re just good clean fun. I was wondering if any of the fine folks at the sub have expanded or would like to expand on the concept and go 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...after which, obviously, we would take off into the stratosphere of flavor and traverse the vast expanse of celestial tastiness?
Here’s one I’m currently enjoying:
5% FA Soho
4% JF RY4 Double
3% FW Butterscotch Ripple
2% FA Butterscotch
1% FW Graham Cracker
I’d love to see some more from everyone...unless you hate the idea. In which case, please don’t tell me. My fragile ego will not be able to handle such rejection.
Blastoff!
I’ll play
5% FLV Root Beer
4% FA Soho
3% TFA Pistachio
2% FLV Red Burley
1% FLV Kentucky Blend
This will require a long steep, like at least 6 weeks because 2% FLV Red Burley + 1% FLV Kentucky Blend
Been looking over my blue raspberry stuff and trying to figure out where to make up for what's shortcomings. Could throw a few together and this might work, I just don't have my hs blueberry here and that gives it a solid dose of candied blue.
5% osdiy blue raspberry slush
4% lb blue raspberry
3% nr blue raspberry taffy
2% fw razzleberry
1% hs blueberry
Edit: I'm going to mix this without the hs. I think to keep the candied vibe that razzleberry will give it that a small amount of sweetener would help sell it. Should be coolant friendly too.
What a fun idea!
5% LB Vanilla Ice Cream
4% TFA Cherry Blossom
3% LB Pink Lemonade
2% TFA Vanilla Swirl
1% FW Sweetener
Thanks, sir! I’m so glad you joined in the fun! Is this kind of a takeoff on your Cherry Belonging?
It's almost identical. I started by thinking, what would I like to use at 5%. That's the hardest part, think. There aren't THAT many flavors you want to use that high. LB Vanilla Ice Cream was the first one that came to mind. Then I thought, what would I like to mix with that? And I thought, Bourbon, because Bourbon Ice Cream is amazing. But I wouldn't want to push any Bourbon to 4%, and if I did the TFA Kentucky Bourbon at 3%, what would I do at 4%? Nothing, there's nothing that fits. Scrap Bourbon. Then I remembered that I used 4% Cherry Blossom with around 5% LB VIC before and the rest just fell into place.
Makes me wonder how many other recipes I've made that I could make fit into this format and still have them work.
Maybe RF Aged Bourbon Cream at 3? I also have the WF version and, though I haven’t put it through its paces, I know sometimes the WF stuff can be used a little high so maybe that could take your 4, some kind of cream at 3, TFA Kentucky Bourbon could be 2 or 1?
5% TFA DX Peanut Butter
4% TFA RY4 Double
3% WF Vanilla Ruyan Custard
2% FLV Native Tobacco
1% FW Hazelnut
Well...as my flair indicates, gotta order some Native, but this one has me excited for sure!
This was so much fun, thanks for sharing your idea.
I can't guarantee these are good as I just came up with them off the cuff, but you gotta admit, that looks pretty tasty, doesn't it?
not quite a 54321, sorry in advance but just incase theres someone who misses starship 1
6% kiwi
3% vanillin
2% peach
1% pear
1% pear candy
1% vanilla bean icecream
+ just the tinyest amount (drop or couple) of lemon. isnt necessary but helps keeping it more "fresh" with longer steeps. go atleast 80% VG with this one!
