Disappointed with my flavor bottles
submitted over 4 years ago by kuri_sanTouDiketones, Schmiketones

So I spent over $90 in flavors including shipping to DIY some juice to vape but I can’t get the caps off the flavor bottles, they just spin no matter which direction I turn them. In frustration I just took a pair of pliers and pulled the cap off but now I can’t put the cap back on. It just doesn’t screw on like my bottles of VG, PG, and my nicotine. So I just cut a piece of plastic wrap to place under the cap for my flavor bottles. It’s working so far. We should make a petition to these vendors that distribute flavors in bottles where the caps can’t be removed without some pair of pliers.

Did you order left-handed bottles by accident?

As a left-handed, if these kinds of bottles exist they are just dumb as fuck. I adapted all my life to right-handed stuffs, why would I all of a sudden decide that bottle should unscrew on the other side ?

Agreed. Adapting for us lefties after forcing us to do it the other way is really confusing.

Are they the kind you have to push down on, then turn?

LMAO....I just noticed this was 'shitpost Sunday'. Got me.

But like a man, I will leave my comment and be ok with embarrassment.

I've had this problem. Poke a hole in the top and drip it into the mixing bottle. If it doesn't flow fast enough poke a hole in the bottom as well so it can vent easily.

Have you tried using the flavorings without removing the cap? I am currently working on a 200ml dispenser bottle where you dump all your flavors inside of it, and select the flavor you want by turning a dial. Unfortunately preliminary tests have ended in failure because I can't keep the flavors from mixing together.

i think instead you just need more raw skill

The skill of a child perhaps

Now that you've opened them like a child with anger issues, you will need a drill tap set to rethread your caps.

I understand your feeling, and thanks for making this public.

Ultimately, this backtracks to simply bad product design. It's proof that whoever you're buying from doesn't care much about testing their own products to assure a seamless customer experience.

It's a sin to make products that can't be opened or otherwise put to use right away (when the same type of products by different brands allow for it), but I'm astonished by how many inept merchants don't get this part of their product right.

Like, one time I had to rip the shrink wrap off a pack of reds with scissors.

If I were you I wouldn't buy any more from them, I have anxiety issues and this is one of my heaviest annoyances.

Those are safety bottles. You need to push down then turn at the same time....
