Welcome Luke! Bout time, that was a lotta lurkin, bud!
Guys, this is WadleyLoops from ATF!
Yes, it's safe to come in, but please read the rules. Let me know if you need help finding them on mobile or something. Also, check this out: There's a Discord server where we just chat away all the time about all kinds of stuff: https://discord.gg/pjxJDpss
I mixed yellow matter custard dripping from a dead dog’s eye a few days ago.
The name wouldn’t fit on the label so I just wrote “Walrus”.
Awesome, very fitting name change.
How was it buddy?
It is excellent.
I didn’t have Holy Vanilla (obviously) so I had to sub it with another vanilla. I used WF Vanilla Cream Extra @ 1.5%.
I also had to sub FW Yellow Cake with JF Yellow Cake since the FW is a no-go flavor now a days. I subbed it 1:1.
Using Custard Premium with INW Custard works well to offset the lemon twang that I get from the INW and it smoothed it out nicely.
It’s not a true mix of YMCDFADDE, but I think it’s close enough to the OG to still get the same profile.
Welcome!
you're the only mixer on atf that has published a recipe with vt pandan leaf. have you ever had real pandan? does it taste similar? i have it and tested it and it was... strong. im just curious if it is also accurate.
Yes I have had pandan leaf, this flavor is very strong. I challenged myself to use 2 very strong flavors in that recipe. Both hard crack toffee and pandan leaf. They need to be used very low. I would start at 0.2 for a single flavor test. It is earthy and nutty in flavor, pretty good and unique. I have only had pandan leaf a few times many years ago so I am not an expert. I had it with banana so not 100% certain how accurate it is but it was for me.
