Its really easy, especially if you are using 100mg/ml you can simply get 100mL of your juice and ad however many ML of nicotine you want, each ML you add would increase the overall nic to 1mg, so if you wanted 6mg nic add 6 ML of 100/mg/ml to 100ML of juice. Then shake really well, and get it mixed and your all good. You can also use some of the calculators online enter the MG/ML and amounts and it will tell you exactly what to add. Totally up to you, Best of luck, hope you have a great day, if you have any other questions or issues please let me know I would be glad to help!!! :)

That’s a good shortcut, but I’d recommend using a calculator.

If someone has commercial juice it’s not common that they come in 100mL. And adding 6mL to 100mL doesn’t get you to 6mg/mL. It’s close, of course, but the result is 6mg in 106mL, and that would diverge more if you scale up the concentration. e.g. adding 12mL of 100mg/mL into 100mL of 0 nic would give you 12mg in 112mL. Which is just short of 11mg/mL.

UM, I literally said to use a calculator. " You can also use some of the calculators online enter the MG/ML and amounts and it will tell you exactly what to add. Totally up to you," Did you just read the first few words of my post or something!!!!!??????? I was try to share easy ways.

Yup, sorry. I literally feel like I only read up to “Then shake really well, and get it mixed and your all good.”

Mea culpa.

100ml isn’t common?

Gotta disagree there. I have and purchased far more 100ml bottles than 60ml bottles. I think both are extremely common.

120ml is less common, sure. But 100ml and 60ml are surely the most popular. 30ml as well but mainly for Salt based liquid.

Yes you can add nicotine to 0mg juice. This is quite common, actually. Depending on the nicotine strength you are aiming for, there's a chance it can dilute flavor.

Hmm. That’s interesting. I never thought about this before, but there are a lot of times I see 0mg on clearance or cheaper than the pre mixed nic bottles. Thanks.

Depends on where you're looking.

What?

I do this quite often when my preferred flavor is out of stock in 3mg. I usually buy the sapphyre nic shots for $1 and add it to a 60ml bottle and I've never noticed a difference in flavor vs a 3mg bottle with the nic included. I also have 100mg/ml in 100% pg in the freezer but haven't quite figured out how much of that to add to a 60 or 120ml bottle to make a 3mg.

For 100mg/ml nic you would add 1.86g or 1.8mls to a 60ml for 3mg. It would be 3.1g or 3mls to a 100ml for 3mg. Simple way to do it is with an online calculator. I gave both grams and mls because I'm not sure if you would choose to measure by weight or volume. I personally prefer by weight due to its higher accuracy and less cleanup.

I really appreciate the info. I've got all the supplies to start DIYing but haven't actually got started yet. When I do I'm definitely going to mix by weight as that seems to be the most recommended. I got a scale that measures to the hundredth of a gram so hopefully that'll be sufficient. Again thank you for the info.

Yes you do have the right sized scale since it measures to .01g. When you do start, a little tip, I recommend making smaller batches when testing recipes. Nothing like making 60-100mls and not liking it. If it's only a 10ml batch no big deal. Check out some recipes at alltheflavors vcc and elr. There are lots of excellent recipes that will make commercial ejuice a thing of the past.

60ml x 3mg/ml=180mg

180mg ÷ 100mg/ml base = 1.8ml

Double that for the 120ml bottle

Thank you very much for the help. I'm going to save this thread for when I need it in the future. I'm slowly working my way to DIYing but haven't fully taken the plunge yet. I have all the supplies, just gotta mix that first batch..

If you're mixing by weight (g) it really is easy. If you use the volume formula you will come slightly under your target which is great imo compared to consuming slightly more nicotine. Here's the formula if you're the type to copy and paste to save like myself:

Target Volume X Desired Nic Strength = Nic MGs

Nic MGs ÷ Nic Base = Amount To Add

Cool. I mix my own juices, but still buy if I see a decent deal on something I really like. So I’ve always got nicotine around as well.

Before you add your nic be sure you have enough headroom. Best bet would be to take out the amount your going to be putting back in.

Good call.

If you do that, and are using 100mg/ml, you actually can just do a like for like replacement (remove 6ml, and add 6ml of 100mg/ml Nic for 6mg strength).

I do this exclusively. I buy one bottle of 100mg PG nic from Liquid Barn once a year and I'm set. Shops are always stocked on 0mg juice.

This is definitely going to be a thing.

I actually mix mine in 0nic so that it can sit around steeping for a month or ten, and the nic can sit in the deep freeze. You get aged flavor with fresh nic that way.

Can't adjust the mix to account for dilution If you buy 0nic (you can adjust if you diy), but tbh, the store bought stuff always seems kinda overboard on flavoring anyways, so probably not a big issue.

It doesn't make too much of a difference to the ones I have.

Where I live is it illegal to sell e-juice with nicotine in bottles bigger than 10ml so we have to buy 60 (50ml juice) or 120ml (100ml juice) bottles and add nic shots to them ourselves.

And it have been working fine for me so far. Just remember to give the bottle a good shake before you start using it so the nic shot gets well mixed into the juice
