New York Cheesecake! I have it incoming. I can hopefully single flavor this (and the Vanilla Custard) during Christmas Break. Right now, trying to teach through this pandemic (in a district without any type of mask mandate or any real social distancing measure), I just don't see myself having the time or willpower to give it a proper review . . . my nerves and patience are quite shot! Hopefully soon . . .
No pressure, but I’m sure it will be a welcome addition to many an arsenal. Quick question, curious if you’ve made any attempts to sub out holy vanilla in a good book? I’m sure some folks would want to know (like moi!). I love the concept (and taste) of that recipe!
I haven't tried it, but, if I were making it today, I would probably opt for Vanilla Ruyan in place of Holy Vanilla.
Hey LonesomeRhodes - thanks for being such an involved, committed teacher in these times. Crazy that your Job is so risky right now, but great to see a teacher care so much...
Thank you! My wife teaches, as well. It has been a trying year, to say the least. Teaching with kids sitting in my class and kids on Microsoft Teams, simultaneously, has been an experience. We have kids and adults being sent home to quarantine daily (either testing positive or contact traced) . . . a constant state of flux . . . every day is a new adventure.

Man, that destroys me! We're all struggling. I honestly think that teachers are expecting too much from these kids who are distance learning. I'm teaching them all the normal stuff, but I'm not holding them to an absurdly high standard . . . my focus is on building the relationship . . . making them feel like they are an integral part of the classroom community even though they are not there in person. We have plenty of time to fill in those learning gaps . . . those things are fixable. The stress and anxiety they are experiencing is my greatest concern.
