FA Vienna Cream smells like solvent
submitted almost 5 years ago by thedarkoneisrising

Hi everyone, I bought a bottle of Art Italiano Vienna Cream (FA Vienna Cream) and right of the bottle it smells like solvent or a melted rubber plastic. I thought it was just my sens of smell going crazy so I made some planned recipes which were only waiting for the Vienna cream, it's been a day since it's steeping but it still smells like rubber or some kind of solvent in there. Is this normal? Does it get better with time? Please let me know if you experienced this. Thanks!

Nail polish. Steep a week. Enjoy.

Yes, FA Vienna Cream smells like solvent. That's why it needs time to steep. It will taste much better after two weeks.

Thanks for letting me know! I was afraid I had received a bad bottle and wasted mixes on it.

I had remnants of a year old bottle of flavoring that was very nice.

When I reupped, I put it in a large glass booze bottle at 50% vg and a tiny bit of nic.

Bulk aging it lol. It's terrible fresh

(smells like eggnog now)
