Hey everyone. For the past year, a small group of developers have been working on a recipe website to provide a richer, more stable experience for you fine folks. We have flown mostly under the radar, but it's time for that to change.
Myself, /u/JosefBud, and /u/ddyess have toiled in the trenches for many months, and we have most of a recipe website put together. There are still a few parts of the frontend that are not hooked up to the backend, and there is a ton of work left to do on wish-list items and more robust functionality all around.
However, we are not nearly as far along as we thought we'd be when starting out, and most of that is simply because the three of us haven't invested enough time in the project.
To that end, we are looking to grow the development team a bit in order to provide quicker turnaround for PRs and to provide us the ability to refocus our efforts on the items that are standing in the way of a public beta test of the site.
So, if you're still reading, maybe you're interested in helping us out? We're trying to build a best-in-class, modern mixing website that will be cheap to host and free to use. We don't believe in charging money for our service and we want to work with the community to come up with something better, together.
Thank you for your time, TeslaDelMar

If you're a newbie developer, I joined this project in July 2019 without really knowing any React, with about half a year of JavaScript experience under my belt. I can definitively say working on this project is like half the reason (both directly and indirectly) I got a job as a React/Node.js full stack dev this year.
Just jumping into an open source project and getting code reviews from other devs can teach you so much, it's a great experience.
I just want to say that the 3 guys who initially started this are all amazing, standup guys. If you are sick of scummy, half working sites that still take your money for premium features, or ones that have barely been updated in years, then I highly suggest you keep an eye on this project.
I'm sure as time goes on they will be open to suggestions and features too, unlike other current recipe sites out there. I've been watching the project for quite some time and I am so excited for everyone to try it out when its ready. If you want to help, reach out!
Maybe I can contribute... I have a full time job as a vue developer and to be honest I have no experience with react, but I would like to help and learn. If I'll have time, I'll definitely will look at the project and see what I can do to help. Great job guys, keep up the good work 😊
