I've been wanting to try some different recipes, and I've decided on developed Morning Mocha, Butterscotch banana ice cream and Peanut butter RY4 cookie. A few questions before I go ahead and buy the flavourings to make them:
- Do developed make delectable recipes in general, and are these specific recipes good?
- Are LB Vanilla ice cream and VT caramel mocha fine to vape, as they aren't on the safety compendium?
- Can super sweet be used in place of FLV sweetness in Morning Mocha?
- Finally, on RainbowVapes, they don't sell FA, instead they have something called Italian Artist, which has the same names as some of the FA flavours needed, as well as being cheaper. Are these the same, or should I just stick with FA?
Any advice would be appreciated.
It's going to be personal preference, but the Developed peeps are knowledgeable peeps. I haven't tried those specific recipes. I can't see them being bad.
Only flavors that are to be avoided or to think about using are on the safety site. If they aren't on there, it's usually a good thing. That or we do not have data from the manufacturer to use. Those flavors are fine, though.
Super Sweet and FLV Sweetness are different. I suggest trying it without a sweetener if you have SS. If you are used to commercial juice and/or want sweetener, start at 0.5% SS.
They do sell FA. It's on their site. Italian Artist is the cheaper, rebranded FA though.
Thanks for the advice. Currently the most complex recipes I've had are folkart's reserve and God milk, so would it be worth trying out these recipes? Also what I meant to say is that they don't sell FA fresh cream and cookie, so would it be worth buying from chefs or just getting the Italian Artist ones?
Hey guys, im rather new to DIY-ing, don't suppose one off you can link me to the safety site?
for future reference, it's in the sidebar.
I have mixed several of the developed recipes and can honestly say I haven't found a bad one yet. As far as flavorings being safe, that is a personal call. Personally I feel that 95% or more of flavorings are safer than cigarettes especially when mixing low. That said ELR has a great list of flavorings that may be questionable. The guys from developed also post their own recipes individually so. Another great source for individual flavor information is Noted. They go over individual flavors grouped by type and rate them worst to best and they are fantastic at describing each individual flavor. You can find them on YouTube.
Yeah, i've seen noted before, but I don't really watch them as they're pretty long; also I'm not quite at the stage of being able to make my own recipes yet I don't think, as I only started DIY in April.
I have only been mixing for about 8mo. I started out mixing others recipes and have just started doing my own. Fresh03 on fresh from the kitchen is a great guy to start watching and you can ask questions during any of his shows. The show is ment for new mixers. They also have a good list of flavors on their discord to get you started Never be afraid to ask questions in any of the groups or shows. Everyone I have run across has been fantastic at helping. This is a very unique and supportive community .
PB RY4 Cookie is quality in my opinion. I add .25 to .5% CAP Super Sweet though. If I'm vaping it straight away I'll add .5, if I make a big batch and know it will be steeping a few weeks I add .25 because it gets sweeter with a long steep and that combined with .5 is too sweet for me.
First of all, thank you for your interest in our channel u/shmickledood and thank you all for the recommendations and suggestions on our recipes.
We try to make our best with the recipes and if we all agree something is not good enough we don't publish it, BUT that doesn't mean that you are going to love all of our recipes (I don't), it is very subjetive.
All the recipes are made with flavorings for vaping, but you should check the DIY Flavor Safety web page and decide for yourself, especially if you are trying to avoid certain compounds or are sensitive/allergic to any product.
I am not 100% sure, but from what I've read Italian Artist is the same than Flavour Art. Check comments from other people buying in that same company to know if that is the case for that specific flavoring.
Thank you again and Salud!
