nope, I'm the same way for the most part. the more you mix and single flavor test the more you can sort of train your taste buds to pick things out, but only to a certain point.
some people are like "yea the hint of almond and cherry in the marzipan works perfectly to balance the lemon cream cookie with the subtle note of pine from the whatever"
whereas my tastebuds are like "yea it's a lemon cookie, cool, but whooptie do"
Most people have regular taste buds. Some are “super tasters”, and an unfortunate group are “simple tasters”. Sounds like you’re closer to being a simple taster.
Also you need to take a lot with a grain of salt. A lot of descriptions of both food and juice are hyperbole and extra spicy text just to get the reader’s juices flowing.
A lot of it has to do with vocabulary. If you have the vocabulary to describe the subtle nuances of scent and flavor you can distinguish them easier in your mind as you taste them. Also your taste buds die and regrow ever month or so, and they adjust to the things you’ve been tasting.
Now describe what your username tastes like
It's like wine tasting. You get like the top note, or maybe a combo note... but I ain't tasting those finer details. Where the fuck you guys get walnut from a moscato?
Honestly, most of my recipes are light, simple, and have like two notes. They might have 8 ingredients, but that's a group to focus on one or two flavors. Like a blueberry custard will have 7 flavors, but it's all just to spike the blueberry and custard. I couldn't taste the slight cookie note, or some raspberry kiss or whatever. My current vape is Mango... with touches of lemon and apple to help bring it out.
Most people don't..it's just pretentious bullshit
If you have just quit smoking it make take a few months or even a year or so.before you taste properly..
Esp if you still smoke weed. When I quit smoking I still used a bong for weed and I ALWAYS had vapers tongue. It got better over time.but only after I quit smoking weed.did it really get better and.now.i rarely have any vapers tongue
I feel that. I made the switch to just vapor and concentrates vaping. Cut out combustion all together. It helps. But, nuance is better reserved for that fresh hit. Or the combo of flavour and aroma. Also, sometimes just finding the right power setting for the flavor is important. Made a simple fruit flavor for the wife, it smelled great. But once i told her to turn her power down 30% the flavor popped so much more.
I find that vape tends to taste a lot better and stronger on a full stomache
I haven’t figured out the “crunch” yet, that’s for sure. Like with cereals, I’ll hear mixers saying “it is good but lacks the crunch of Cereal 27” or something like that. I’m like WTF
Hi. The „crunch“ is just a mind game. Vape doesn’t have texture, but certain flavors are associated with „graininess“, „crunch“ or „fizz“, giving us the illusion of texture. I hope that makes sense. It’s kind of like how certain scents can trigger fear or bliss or memories. Like the smell of vanilla makes me feel calm and content, reminding me of happy childhood moments with my grandmother, who was always baking something delicious.
I personally can't enjoy anything bakery dessert flavored like vanilla, cake, cookie. They all have the same unpleasant taste to me, despite how good they smell. I'm fine sticking to fruits, as I haven't found a dessert flavor that doesn't gunk my coils.
I have the opposite problem. I see so many great looking fruit recipes that get me excited until I mix them. 99% of them always carry a weird chemical taste with them. I would absolutely love to have a fantastic watermelon vape or a nice peach vape, but that odd taste is in all of them.
I stick to almonds, hazelnuts, RY4s with creams since the fruits are not working out for me.
