ATF sucks. /u/queuetue sucks. Let's vent.
I keep getting 502 bad gateway when navigating the site, anyone else?
It's down again due to negligence. That's why I posted this.
Just wondering what you mean by ‘negligence’?! Do you know why it keeps going down? It seems be especially bad recently.
There's a good chance he doesn't even know it's down right now. The recipe images have been broken for awhile (not sure how long) and it's not the first time. Various other features have been broken for years.
I've had the 'privilege' of being in contact with Q for most of the time ATF has been around. Haven't been able to get ahold of him at all this year.
I've added thousands of flavors to ATF over the years but I can only add flavors that already have their brand on the site and I've been attempting to get PURE/LIQ/VSO/CNV/SSA or any new brand added for nearly 2 years.
Software Engineer here. Who wants to make an open-source, self-hosted alternative?

That looks exciting man. One thing I have been wanting is a site that also has an app, or at least a well designed mobile UX. It is shit like this that always reminds me how dumb I am for getting an English degree instead of a coding/computers degree.
How can it be all the flavors, if there isn't all the flavors?

The question is: what are the alternatives? (Honestly asking)
ATF was never more than an alternative to ELR (CMV)
edit: also http://link.diyejuice.org/calc
So, we are waiting on the Islam of online mixing calculators to get monotheistic vape juice repositories right?
Quetue is an asshat, ever since that javascript bitcoin miner (webminepool) was found I NEVER went back to that site, that was completely different than his opt-in bitcoin mining where he actually told the community, nobody was told about the script and you couldn't opt out either and it's a playground for other hackers to inject their own malware into his site even without his knowledge.
he also had a fishy script called marinsm. com which is possibly linked to adware
Also the sarcastic way he presents himself then seeing him come on here with a sob story after ignoring his most loyal fans that were complaining about the site for months TOTALLY not asking for more money, he's pathetic, sad and might even have a drinking problem
I've been slowly transferring my stash over to VCC. It's constantly getting better. The developer actually cares and listens to the community when suggestions are made. It's still a work in progress, but has so much potential
What’s VCC?
Vaping Community Calculator. There's a lot that's currently turned off while he's working on the next release. He had a good build running but apparently it was dumping bad data into the database so he pulled it and is fixing it.

ELR really isn’t far off from being great. It appears that ATF is just utilizing Bootstrap CSS to make it work well with different screen sizes. It’s mostly the styling of ELR that makes it a little more difficult to use. But the database structure and design is all pretty much there.
I like(d) ATF more out of the 2 for a few reasons, and signed up for a paid account 3 months ago (being aware of known gripes/issues with the platform). I figured $2 a month wasn't a big deal to have preferred features like a cleaner interface, batches feature and 'times mixed' counter as opposed to just 'viewed'. All in all though it was just a headache to try and simply click on a recipe, upload something or god forbid try and rate or comment (all throwing various error messages) so I decided instead of wasting my time (and since Q didnt really need my $1.99 anyway), I'm just going to cancel my monthly sub and move on.
Yeah, but has anyone taken the completely normal step of physically calling the admin to fix his fuck up?
At this point, let it burn. Fuck it/Queue. I've moved back to ELR, especially since it added the "What can I make?" function.
The greatest part of this entire thing for me is, on his website(https://queuetue.com/about.html), he has a section for skills he uses "In [his] Copious Free Time", which is the funniest fucking way I've ever seen someone try to spin that they don't do much work.
Yo I think ATF is cool especially back in the days of bb podcast, and when they had competitions and promo codes to get free monthly trails!
It's always been the community that's cool, not ATF. People pay money to that site and the dude can't even keep it up and running. It's his baby too, he refuses to let people help. This is what I've gathered from reading here over the years.
People still and always will cling to that site though. Where else on the internet can you pay to post recipes and feel like you're in an "exclusive club"? Even if it goes down all of the time "It's still better than ELR" they claim. It's still littered with bad recipes just like other places but at least the "suggested starting percentages" can be trusted lol.
Guys, he has a real job:
I don’t have skin in this game
But let’s say there are, what, 50 million vapers in the world, conservatively?
Let’s say 1% DIY, that’s 500,000
Let’s say 1% of all DIYers pay for a $3 premium monthly subscription to THE best recipe repository on the net.
That’s almost $200,000 USD a year... probably worth considering as a viable second job.
Who runs ELR? Do they frequent this sub?
If they updated the looks of the site it would be killer. I only use ELR now.
If I see an ATF recipe that I like I simply enter it into ELR and keep it private.
I tried a few times to pay for ATF so I could give reviews on the mixes I enjoyed, but it threw errors at me so I gave up.
