As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a category of flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.
#This week, this is also where you can comment to win the Beverage-Type Flavor Pack ($70 value!) from Flavorah.
This pack includes: Citrus Soda, Back Bar Bitters, Bourbon, Brut Bubble Wine, Coffee, Cola, Eggnog, Elderflower, Horchata, Irish Cream, Juniper Gin, Mocha, Morning Mimosa, Raisin Rum, Root Beer, and Tequila Agave.

A new category has been added => Flavor Facts - Citrus
36 concentrates - includes Citrus Mixes and Misc Citrus
Also, did you forget to edit the Flavor Pack for this week? Bakery #1 doesn't quite fit with Citrus Soda.
Yes I did forget to edit it. Good catch. It was one of those things where you know you forgot to do something but can't figure out what you forgot. It's fixed now.
I mixed this a few weeks ago and was good AF
Not 7up, but a soda I haven’t been able to stop vaping since Puck and I concocted it. VT fizzy sherbet/cap lemon lime is usually my go to for any soda flavors.
YAY! Finally my request shows up! I'm not exactly sure why, but a veritable ass-load of recipes I mix up have citrusy "soda" flavorings in them, so this week will benefit me greatly.
Thanks again for doing this, y'all. You put your throats and tastebuds through such torture every week so that we don't have to. How's that line go? The heroes we need, but not the ones we deserve or something?
EDIT: Also, ID10T, are you going to share that mango, passion fruit, blood orange recipe you were vaping the other night?
It's not "special" enough to be shared as in set to public on ATF and posted in the monthly recipe thread, or maybe just not finished yet, but I don't mind telling you what it was:
- 3% FLV Mango
- 3% PUR Passion Fruit
- 2% FLV Blood Orange
Like I said, it was just a quick mix I threw together a few weeks ago and almost forgot about until I needed something to vape that was far, far away from cereal flavors.
There's something I really like about the way these three flavors in particular interact with each other, I'm tinkering with the concentrations/ratios. Also tried 1% Blood Orange, 2% Mango, 3% Passion Fruit, but it didn't hit the quite the spot the 2/3/3 mix did. I think next time I might try 4% Mango and 2% of each of the other two. All of this Mango Blood Orange monkeying around has been inspired by this really great recipe, https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/55649#bloody_mango_sorbet_by_fear
I just decided I wanted something more simple that scratches that same itch, and I love the way that syrupy PUR Passion Fruit fills it out.
I tried RF Baja back when I first started DIY, never really found a good use for it. I thought it would be a good start for a Baja Blast and it never really worked.
VT Fizzy Sherbet is the bomb! It gives the perfect kick to the best soft drink recipe out there, 007 Cola.
it is fun discovery different flavors. Being retired is great gives me the time to mix, being retired sucks because it limits my income to buy flavors to try soooo baby steps. I am looking forward to seeing what flavors are the best to get the biggest bang for my bucks.
would be very interesting to try a 7-up flavor. wonder how that gets pulled of...
CAP Lemon Lime + VT Fizzy Sherb gets you pretty close. A touch of FA Aurora wouldn't hurt. But I'm going to try some new flavors this week and see if I can't find one that's a single-flavor fix for a good 7-up facsimile
If you have FLV Citrus Soda .. do you really need anything else?
A touch of CAP Lemon Lime certainly doesn't hurt :)
1-2-3 cranberry sprite is one that I enjoyed recently. Hoping to find a few more interesting recipes this week. Back when I first started, mt baker had a pretty good mountain dewy type juice, forget the name. Anyway, great profile this week, excited as heck to learn more. Thanks gang!
One of my favorite uses of VT fizzy sherbet so far:
TFA grape juice 6%
TFA champagne 3%
VT fizzy sherbet 2%
FA lime tahiti distilled 2%
FA Fuji 1.75%

I feel a SURGE of MELLO YELLO, I’m gonna go CRUSH a SQUIRT.
You won! Again!
Last night the crew said they needed to do a show dedicated to sobucky super aromas, I would be excited to see that
Here is an Apricot Ginger Soda I was messing around with:
https://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/3743719/Apricot+Ginger+Soda
Off the shake this tastes super floral and cucumbery.
After 24 hours, it resembles Cream Soda or something similar.
On day 4 it really starts to taste Apricoty with a hint of Nectarine that comes from the TPA Apricot. I no longer taste any Cucumber , but it provides the adequate juciness.
Grapefruit Soda has always been & probably always will be my ADV (inbetween vaper's tongue from vaping it so much, that is). I've been working on it for awhile. The below recipe says it is my 4th rendition of this recipe, but really it's the 4th that I've kept notes for (do yourself a favor & keep notes so you don't have to keep reinventing the wheel each time like I did.)
This Grapefruit Soda is a work in progress, I have notes on what I would do next time & if anyone has any suggestions, I would be glad to hear them.
Don’t have a specific recipe as i haven’t played with the flavor profile in a while, but osdiy margarita has a lot of citrus soda elements, iirc i used rf sc soda base to pull it more that direction along with a tiny bit of fa lemon sicily
Love me a soda vape. INW Lemons Kick is a kickass additive to your sodas, although you don't hear a whole heap about it. There's a positive review or two kicking about though! Worth a look, it really adds something eXtra!
You know what, I was just thinking, surely we may be due for a coconut FOTW soon, there's gotta be some new coconuts out there by now!
I really like the refreshing Lemonade of SmiLeToLiFe. A nice recipe around the Lemon Lime Soda (SC) (WF).
Anyone of this weeks flavors have a fizziness or a sensation of carbondioxid?
I already know FLV Citrus Soda does and VT Fizzy Sherbet, which sort of accidentally fits which profile since it’s supposed to be a type of candy and not a soda component, does too. But I’m hoping there will be more among the flavors I haven’t tried yet. Really excited to kick the tires of this INW Lemons Kick, for example.
Very interested in this episode. My limited experience with these flavors are citrus punch TFA which is bad and CAP lemon lime which I have found a very versatile and good flavor. Would like to get my hands on FLV Citrus soda though had heard really good things about it.
I've been thinking about experimenting with using Citrus Soda as an additive in candies to make them fizzy. In something like a lemon sherbet candy mix for example. Has anyone else tried using CS in that sort of way? If so how did it work out?
I'd just use VT Fizzy Sherbet for that. Unless maybe the lemon in VT is too prominent for you and you think Citrus Soda's more subtle blend of citrus will be easier to hide behind whatever flavor you want the candy to be. If you want lemon sherbet candy mix though, it seems like VT is a single-flavor solution. Maybe add a little extra lemon to it.
unfortunately I have nothing to contribute with, 0 experience with citrus sodas. however if I could request a look at "winter spices" such as Cardamom, pumpkin spice, maybe mastic if it fits in the same category. and if this happens I would like to ask for forgiveness for the potentially horrifying experiences that you guys may or may not be put through.
much love =]
It never hurts to ask!
Pumpkin Spice will be included in Pumpkin next week. Is there another cardamom flavor besides FA Cardamom? Does anyone have a mastic flavor?
VT has both Cardamom and mastic from what I know, they also have something called (bakery spice blend) and I also spotted TFA Holiday spice and I'm not sure what the difference between those two and pumpkin spice is. More nutmeg and clove? wouldn't the Chai Masala be the same category?
Here's some information/discussion on Holiday and Bakery spices:

I'm adding a "Cardamom and Chai" week for you.
Excited for this episode, i like some lemonade vapes on a hot summer day. Bit late as it’s now well into oktober but ok 🙃
Just so we’re clear, lemonade where you are is a carbonated soft drink or soda, not just lemon juice, water, and sugar?
Yeah, we call fizzy shit like 7up, Mountain Dew and stuff like that lemonade here in The Netherlands. If it has carbonated water in it, it’s a lemonade
You and most of the rest of the world, but USA just has to be different, you know? The rest of the world measures speed in kilometers per hour, we here in the USA measure it in AR-15s per COVID-19s, or some shit.
Another question for you. Do ~~Danes~~ the Dutch drink stuff that’s just lemon juice, non-carbonated water, and sugar? And if so, what is that called (or rather, what’s the English word for that?). Or is it just not a thing there? When I visited Australia, it was very much a thing, but it was called lemon smash or lemon squash, I can’t remember which, it was a long time ago.
Edit: livin up to my username again
“The One Where Dave Throws Up”
Nah, so far I’ve only actually hurled from OoO Cheese, despite all the flavors that made me feel like I might hurl or that hurling would actually be preferable to continuing to vape it.
This week there was only one flavor that came anywhere close to the “maybe I’ll just barf” level of terribleness. Spoiler alert, Bickford Lemon Lime. If you told me it’s not actually safe to vape at all there’s a good chance I’ll die in the next few days from attempting to vape it, I wouldn’t doubt you.
Do you have SSA Creamy Pistachio? You could’ve used that in this weeks Noted.
I am interested to see if Lemon Kicks made it in testing since it has a fizzy taste when vaping it. Appreciate all the hard work all of you do for the community
Have yet to try and make a Soda, so this should be pretty useful. Drop some good soda mixes I should try.
You might have to refresh some 502 errors to look at them, but:
I made this very well received Cranberry Sprite recipe, and followed it up with this Ocean Water that I'd love for you to try.
Two other such recipes I can vouch for are nitriVenus and Yoda Soda, but you have to be in the mood for florals for those. Speaking of Yoda Soda, the creator of that one, /u/staybert is known as the "soda guy" - primarily for his Citraspberry Soda, but he also has some other great looking soda recipes including Grapefruit Pineapple Soda, Citrapple Soda, Melon Soda, and Rainforest (Soda Remix). Check out all of these recipes and pick a couple that look good to you.
Thanks for the shout out Sir!
I do indeed have a few soda recipes, and I also wrote a tutorial about a year ago on this sub; Tuesday Tutorial: Making a Soda Recipe. That might be a bit of help if you (OP) want to start making your own recipes. I think all of the bases mentioned there are really easy to work with, just add your favourite fruit(s) and you'll be on your way.
Not a fan of any kind of citrus soda....in vape form and in real life. I have fizzy sherbet ( don't like it) cap lemon lime is good but I don't use it to make soda. I also have WF lemon lime soda but I don't remember if it's good or not....I didn't wrote any notes but I remember that I sft it and never used it since so.....anyway will be there for the show cause it's always a good time.
