Lookout peeps - FedEx confiscated my River Supply package last week. Seems as though they copped every River order coming into N.Y.C. for most of September. So if any New Yorkers have been confused about a really late delivery... this is probably your explanation. There was nothing illegal in the package (just flavors). I’m assuming Pataki or Mayor DeBlasio were getting impatient waiting for their Cigarette Tax money to return.
River Supply is being über-cool about it, and will re-mail any confiscated packages to customers via USPS. Let them know if your package has been grabbed up, and they‘ll shoot out another one for you. If possible, talk to Laura - she’s an amazingly badass service rep. River seems to have the problem under control for current N.Y. orders. Big thumbs-up to them for being so accessible and helpful.
Ya‘ know who was not helpful? FedEx... who told me a different untruth every time I called. Although there was never any delivery made, somehow 3 drivers had collected 3 different signatures confirming delivery to my apartment.

Jesus, for all they know you’re baking a cake or mixing up some drinks. How tf they going to take food flavourings away. I’m guessing river supply is flagged as a nic supplier but they really aren’t making it easy on you guys, hope you can figure it out.
Right? In this situation, the problem has been figured out... River re-shipped outta their own pocket & it’s on the way. I‘m just surprised that FedEx jumped into this rigged fight so early!
Companies that go out of pocket to make things right are above and beyond. Much respect to them.
I had a similar problem with DHL where customs returned my shipment back to the vendor. Before they got the return they already reshipped my order with a different carrier and I got my stuff in just a few days. Apparently this wasn’t the first time they have had problems with customs and they made it right in a timely fashion
So there was no nicotine? Just food flavoring? I would say thats more of them illegally holding your package than anything since there is no illegal goods in the package, but I'm not a lawyer. I'm also in NY but haven't had any issues, even with nic, besides from the sites who won't ship at all. In fact I believe river is one if the ones who won't even ship me flavors, so something may have changed recently. Maybe the dicks at FedEx are under the impression that it is vape juice when it actually isn't.
nope. No nicotine, just flavors. Although the package did contain one other deadly threat: empty plastic bottles. I’ve never had any other problem in NYC either. River Supply usually ships to Brooklyn without any headaches, that’s what worries me a bit.
Oh, well thats why it got taken, you should know cuomo outlawed plastic bottles last week in the middle of the night behind closed doors, just like the vape ban. /s...
I would tell them that they better have tests and documentation that they had a reason to seize and or destroy your package. Now since they are a private company they don't follow the same rules as say usps, but I would assume they can't just seize a package for no reason. Usps needs a warrant. I believe they have to send you a document saying your package was taken and for what reason, and give you some form of discourse.
I would be super pissed as well, hopefully it gets taken care of. If you need to order from somewhere that uses usps I can give you some places that will ship to us here in the great state of NY.
Lol. They swiped $100-ish worth of stuff, and they're a "too big to fail"... There's probably not a damned thing you can do about it, and any fuss you make is likely to end up with FedEx paying for the "misplaced" items, and that only if you bitch loud and long enough about it.
Just tell FedEx that your church was counting on those candy flavors to make gift baskets for the doctors and nurses at the hospital, for all their hard work on the front lines. Really make them feel bad.

And what also sucks is that what's going on is OBJECTIVELY wrong, according to the inherent laws of the universe, but just because THEY SAY something has to be a certain way, we have to listen to them.
Because they have more money than us. Because they have more power than us - a biproduct of having more money than us.
Because at the upper end of the spectrum, they can force us to pay fines for not listening to their OBJECTIVELY WRONG rules, and at the very end they can literally put us behind bars for not listening to them.

I won't order from anywhere that only uses FedEx. They're the WORST.
Fuck yeah - their lying was absolutely bonkers throughout this mess. In 3 weeks of talks with FedEx customer service, I was told:
1st time - Your package was delivered & signed for by the Doorman. 2nd time - Your package was Delivered & signed for by the Receptionist. 3rd & 4th time - your package was left at the wrong address and will be picked up / re-delivered tomorrow.
* The really funny thing?? We don’t have a receptionist or a doorman, and the package had never even arrived in New York State.

I like Laura, and also Clara and Frankie. Me being overseas their checkout has always been broken but the staff has always processed my orders if I just shoot them an email. Also, the new age check bullshit is a new roadblock, wtf is a social security number? Well, I don’t have one.

Hell yeah! Laura was just ridiculously cool. By my 20th e-mail to them I was thinking “OK, this time they‘re gonna think I’m a scammer & stop responding to me.”
But nope - she was still responding to my 50TH e-mail... usually within 5 minutes. Restored my faith in online customer service, to be honest.
Do you have any good suggestions from river flavors? I tried them for my first order and ordered about 10 different flavors. Wasn't too impressed with any of them.
It may be due to river supply still uses their old company name nicotine River in parts of the invoice for example I noticed the email on their invoice is @nicotineriver.com
When my forwarder got the package I was shocked when they labelled it as package from nicotine River.
Hmmm - the Force is powderful with this one... Good call. River Supply did say it had something to do with their old name in FedEx’s Records. Kinda wish they’d just told me it was confiscated instead of repeatedly texting “Your package is delivered”. So weird, haha!

Nope. Just flavor concentrates & empty plastic bottles. And a small piece of Crack, but no... NO nicotine. hehe.
I recently lost about $50 worth of flavours, fedex and Thai customs worked together on it. I was told to pay $150 in taxes and get a FDA import license. I told them to destroy the package but they said they can't until I pay the import tax. I wrote this package off and bought more from another supplier.
SONOFA... I just placed an order with BCF and it’s being shipped via FEDEX. I hope this BS misses me.
