Has anyone tried the new Winter Edition Redbull?
submitted almost 5 years ago by burke5227

The flavor is called Arctic Berry. It's delicious, and I know I have some of the flavors they have used to make this. For instance, the Peach Edition Redbull uses JF Honey Peach. No doubt about it. That may not be the only peach in there, but it's unmistakable as the main note.

Anyway, back to Arctic Berry, the newest one. It doesn't have the traditional Redbull/energy drink flavor in there at all. It's straight up "Arctic Berry" which the can describes as "a cool raspberry taste."

I KNOW I have tried the raspberry flavor used here, but it's not solo, and I can't put my finger on it. There is a backing raspberry and/or other non-raspberry flavor as well to give it an arctic and almost bitter taste. It's divine.

I am going to attempt to nail it down, but, if anyone has tried the drink, please lend me your input or ideas.

My first attempt will be INW Raspberry Malina with a tiny bit of INW Shisha Raspberry along with an accent of Alpine Strawberry for the bright cool note and added berry.

I suppose TPA Sweet Raspberry may be in there, or may even be the forerunner, but I really don't think so. I'm going to try it as well since I have less experience with it than other raspberries.

Is FW Razzleberry known to have a bitter or tart taste? I just got some, but haven't tried it yet. I've read the reviews and people are saying it's like a Sweet Tart-esque candy. The cooling "Arctic" part of the berry may simply be FA Polar Blast or WS-23 mixed with a raspberry flavor duo.

The bitter note kind of stumps me, but it's what I like the most about this new Redbull flavor.

Again, the beverage aspect of this (the effervescence, the cold, canned drink sensation, etc.) are secondary to me. I'm looking for this "Arctic Berry" flavor defined as "a cool raspberry" on the back of the can.

Highly recommend trying it if you drink energy drinks at all. The Green Redbull (Apple-Kiwi) is still my no. 1 go to, and I've managed to come close to duplicating that profile. It's always a work in progress.

TL;DR - Anyone who has tried the new Redbull Winter Edition Arctic Berry, whether you liked it or not, I would greatly appreciate your input on the flavor profiles. One of the oft used raspberries for DIY is in there. I just know it!

Thanks all!

Really doubt Redbull is buying from JF/TFA/FW etc. But most artificial flavors share some combination of the same components, anyway.

Either way it seems like a fun endeavor. I'll see if I can grab an Arctic Berry today and join in :)

That would be so cool. If a few people got in on it we could take it to discord, and I'm confident we would all be able to figure it out.

I wouldn't think they would buy from the normal flavor houses either, but I'll be damned if the Peach Redbull doesn't taste spot on JF Honey Peach with something else to give it a bit of a bite. Try the peach one too if you want.

Honest...I need validation that I haven't totally lost my mind lol 🤪😜🤪

I've actually commented before that I am almost completely sure FW Watermelon Candy is in Red Bull. It's a flavor that I vape enough of that I can pick it out pretty easily.

I'm not home at the moment. Once I'm back around my recipe notebook I'll post it. It's not exactly the same, but it tastes pretty dang close to a Green Redbull if it's room temperature and somewhat flat. I hadn't gotten as far as adding something for effervescence before I was off and running on another recipe lol

I switch flavors a lot and have a bad habit of going back to review, remix, and improve previous recipes.

Little late to the thread but I just tried this as well. Im not really sure where/if red bull sources their flavors but to me that funky background flavor is close to cap sweet currant with something acidic like a non candy lemon or tiny bit of mb funky pineapple. Also has some additional citrus in the background, maybe cap lemon lime? I dont have much citrus/effervescent concentrates to use so Im gonna try inw dragonfruit here. Raspberry could come close with a combo of inw malina and fa raspberry. Cooling with ws23.

I havent mixed it yet, but something like this. Sweeten to taste.

I have never seen or heard of these. Are they available in the US?
