Alltheflavors Account
submitted almost 5 years ago by [deleted]

Thank you in advance for your help. I have been trying to make a “pro” account with alltheflavors for almost a month. When I go to “pay with PayPal” it goes to a “page not found” page. Anyone having the same problem as I am? Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? I have emailed them and sent a message in Facebook.

Queue doesnt respond to emails or facebook messages. You have to call his personal phone number. Yes I'm serious. No I'm not joking. And yes, its dumb as hell. Keep trying I guess. ATF is a sorry state of affairs

Well crap. I appreciate the info. I am definitely not going to call anyone. Ugh. I used the website for almost a year and finally am in a place financially to contribute monthly.

He also likes to cancel people's subs out of the blue.

It’s such a helpful site at this point in my DIY journey (beginner). What other sites do you recommend that aren’t in such a sad state?

Thanks. Looks good. One thing I find helpful about Alltheflavors is the graphs used in recipes and single shots. Where’s the best place to find single flavor percentages in your opinion (i usually check Reddit first)?

It's truly a bummer but it is what it is. I'm sure if someone would actually want to take over, maybe Queuetue would relinquish control and it could live on. Idk what that would look like but it's a pleasant thought.

Do you folks think there might be enough interest to sustain a new open-source alternative to ATF/ELR? I just started getting into DIY because the flavor I've been vaping for years was discontinued, and yeah, between ELR's terrible UX and ATF's abandonware status I'm really tempted to spin up a new site. I'm definitely not going to be any more active as a long-term maintainer than Q, but I really wouldn't mind open-sourcing the whole project so anybody who wants a new feature or is bothered by an issue can just fix it.

I think there was an attempt to create a new site about a year ago. A project was started over on Github with a spec etc but nothing more than that.

It's a large, in depth project. It takes time.

Is it still ongoing?

Not really open sourced but at least it's constantly being updated

Ban heavy platform. Avoid.

I'd pay for it if you did.

If anyone decides to build it, and needs the domain and hosting funded, hit me up. If needing other related items funded, also message me.

For me to fund, if there is a related forum, the forum must remain open to all and there would be no censorship. Anti-spam or bans for spamming is fine. Same for threats of violence, porn and criminal acts that could jeopardize the platform. Everything else would need to remain open for discussion.

I hade similar problems when I tried to make an account a few months back.

Eventually I saw an abscure comment somewhere about google and problems with ATF if you have multiple google accounts. Which I have.

I don't know how you are trying to create your account, but I gave up with a google account and made it with Twitter instead and that worked fine. So maybe try any of the other services.

I’m with you, amigo / amiga. I’ve tried to use PayPal over at Alltheflavors on 3-4 separate occasions with no luck. Sent a few e-mails and got no answer.

I guess the dude doesn’t like money... or human beings.

Wish he would just let somebody else take control of it. I assume he could sell the website for decent money, since there is money to be made with it.

Nope. We tried to help him with fixing and improving. Had a channel on the server dedicated to it and a team of us. Organized plan and layout. Everything. He ghosted after a couple weeks and never responded to us again.

He must be the type that knows it has a value, so doesn’t want to sell it because he doesn’t want to see someone else succeed. Yet at the same time doesn’t want to make it operational now or possibly ever. So it will just always be the same mixers on there from whenever the 404 page became a thing.

I'm the same always page not found.....just means I can't use the site properly :(

Well crap.
I'm just getting back into DIY and was pointed to ATF. Just spend 2+ hours getting all my flavorings entered into the site... While I was trying to figure out how to use a recipe without having to copy it to my own recipe list, thus removing all the notes not in the description, I stumbled across the 'page not found' for the PayPal link and found that the link to the forum won't work because it's using some weird SSL Certificate...

Sorry to hear about that. What a big pain in the butt. The least the owner could do is have a “no new accounts” notice or make it free. Seems like he may have not paid his web developer and doesn’t know how to fix it himself. :/
