Thanks I needed something like this. Haven’t had a chance to play with it yet but after a quick glance my only suggestion would be to remove any mention of “oil” as you can’t vape anything with oil in it as that can cause lipid pneumonia. I use a CBD isolate with a PG base, no oil, I’m assuming you use something similar?
How do you guys like CBD? Is it like smoking a tiiinnnnnyyy bit of weed? Like an imperceptible amount? Also is this something you’d do in an ADV, or just a second atty occasionally?
>Is it like smoking a tiiinnnnnyyy bit of weed?
Nope. Works a lot better if you do though, I've heard. There's no high or anything. You might feel calmer though but it's not like the "couch lock" sort of calm.
Medical stuff is insanely expensive in my state so I mix CBD for people so they can save money by buying high-thc products rather than paying for a cbd heavy blend.
It's pretty cheap to give it a try if you buy isolate and mix it in PG yourself. It costs me the same for 20 grams as what a gram sells for in the shops here.
I mix my own and although it's nothing like smoking weed in terms of what you can consciously be aware of (high) i can tell you that without feeling like i vaped it... I can tell you when I haven't vaped it. Judging by my heart rate monitor. My heart rate slow down about 15 less bpm than my average days without vaping it. Without noticing it too tough, I'll fall to sleep easier, speak calmer, think clearer. But I'm also making my own and vaping it with different setups at different times. This calculator will be a blueprint for when I'm ready to make my next batch. Thanks OP!
Hey, thank you so much. I hope the calculator works out for you.
When you say you mix your own, what do you mean by that? You mix a CBD E-liquid with other E-liquids? Or mix CBD isolate into PG/VG? Or something else?
I'm new to CBD vaping and am keen to learn more.
Thanks 🙂👍🏼
I have had exactly 0 luck with vaping cbd.
anybody who says 30mg of cbd helps them is just experiencing plecebo.
the only time I ever felt anything or got any sort of relief from cbd is when I took 600mg at one time, in tincture form. an amount that's physicially impossible to vape.
cbd - orally. nicotine - vape it. Vaping CBD does not and has never worked for me.
Thank you for putting together a calculator, I’m sure it’s much needed.
Just felt it important to share, based on the placebo comment...
Perhaps you didn’t have quality CBD? There’s absolutely no regulation, and some CBD products tested at random by Leafly had absolutely no CBD in the product, despite labeled as CBD.
I’ve vaped CBD for pain. I’ve not mixed it myself, I buy for CO or OR as both require state testing for pesticides, quality, & CBD, cbg, cbn, thc, etc.
I also use CBD tincture. Both of these I microdose (under 5mg/dose 3x’s/day). I think it’s important to note many things can effect the effect one feels. One of the biggest is tolerance. If you vape, smoke, tincture, or edibles frequently, you will develop a tolerance and not feel relief. If you use more than every 4-6 hours, the results won’t be noticeable. I use full spectrum which is important to me, CBG is wonderful for pain. CBN for anxiety. There’s a doctor in Maine that has info on microdosing (healer.com). It’s vital when purchasing any CBD they post 3rd party or state test results. Regardless, no guarantees you’re purchasing actual CBD unless testing is done by a state, IMO.
I’m sharing as I’d hate for someone who’s on the fence about using CBD for something to be turned off by your “placebo” comment. I’ve had pain for over 10 years, 2 bad wrecks & 3 level neck fusion from them. If not for the real effects of CBD, I would be in worse shape thanks to the opiate crisis. CBD does work, highly recommend finding a reliable source & to start, try healer.com to get doses that work for you, without having to fork out tons to maintain such high doses. Microdosing can and does work.
One last point, some, like myself can encounter the paradoxical effect. Too much CBD will spike my pain, not help. Don’t give up, it took me over 2 years to find what works best to compensate for lack of medication.
I felt important to share as I still encounter some who won’t even consider CBD, considering the stigma the last 90 years. I’m sorry you are not getting desired results, however please be careful of calling it placebo just because you didn’t get results. Some of us have and would love to share relief with others suffering from the opiate crisis. Thank you for understanding.
I noticed your full spectrum point, which I agree with.
cbd isolate is bogus in my opinion. I've bought grams of pure cbd isolate. I've ate it, smoked it, mixed it in some juice to 1,000mg/30 ml bottle and vaped it. never felt an effect.
full spectrum cbd is a different story, although if I'm not mistaken, full spectrum cannot be vaped. atleast not safely, due to various oils present.
the tincture I took 600mg of was full spectrum. although it was also HALF the 60ml bottle which cost me over $200. took half because I was frustrated not feeling effects.
Although I'm almost convinced there was atleast some thc in the tincture, because of the little effect I did feel, I felt sort of like I took a drag from a joint. not at all worth $200 for 4 hours of "kind of feel it"
You really think one person's anecdotal experiences are really enough to make such bold claims about CBD? Even if that person is yourself, you do understand that people experience things differently, right? I get sharing your experience, but telling other people their subjective experience is bullshit because it doesn't jive with your own is kinda lame.
ur right, im wrong.
if 30mg of cbd helps you, then sure go ahead.
but vaping 30mg of cbd in one sitting is very difficult to do. and if you're vaping it, it's just cbd isolate which is quite known to be far less effective if at all compared to full spectrum, which cannot be vaped.
Ah dude, now you've ruined it for all the people on that sweet placebo train 😄
Thank you for sharing though. I'm still quite new to it so hopefully it works for me. If not, guess I gotta go oral.
