submitted about 5 years ago by cool_haircut

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as I ordered 10% nic salt in PG, but for $50+ ill happily spend my money somewhere else. would I have better luck from river supply?

Issue is, that the blame is not 100% only at LB for this.

An important factor is that you need to take the weather into consideration, as it's still somewhat warm this time of year, which can have caused your nic to get oxidized in the back of whatever delivery truck it was transfered in. The very same could happen if you order from any other vendor.

You should probably shoot LB a mail and let them know about it, so they have a chance to replace your order.

That's pretty much what River Supply told me when I called them about my recent nic order that filled my room with the smell of old dirty ashtray when I went to decant it. Granted it was a few days before I got to decanting it but we don't like to live in a sweatbox so i doubt the majority of the issue came from the duration of my possession.

All they needed was a photo of the nic to confirm color as well as a photo of the original bottle and they had a replacement out the same day. Should arrive tomorrow hopefully it's fine but if it isn't I will probably have to look for an east coast supplier as their shipment is coming ground cross country so it's 6 days in transit.

Just experienced this yesterday. They dealt with it really quick.

I am east coast as well and just ordered from Wizard Labs...they are FL based, I am in DC, I will let you know the state when it arrives, hopefully the shorter trip for it than some other suppliers will mean it is good.

Contact them and they’ll probably send you a new batch and maybe even let you keep the bad one. I never got bad nic from NicRiver

River supply is who I use now. Decent price, good quality, and haven't said anything about closing down thankfully

How do you know if its oxidized? I have a batch that is very pink and kinda tastes weird...

Nicotine will turn pink if the supplier exposes their nicotine with a high concentration of nitrogen to keep it from oxidizing.

Yeah I think argon would prevent that coloration.

Argon won't help if nitrogen is put into the nicotine before bottling it. It's still safe to vape.

Does this affect flavor? It could just be my mixes but the last few batches I mixed up turned dark pink after a few days and has kind of a strange custard type flavor... Even tho I just mixed up 3% tobacco flavoring at 50/50 with about 12% nic.

I would ask for a refund or a better bottle of nic.

I ordered from Nicotine River around April or so and the nic itself was a brownish color, smelled like burnt plastic, and tasted like burnt plastic. I've never seen pink nic before, but if it tastes and/or smells off you really shouldn't vape it

Never had an issue with Nic River and I've used both their smooth and hit salts. Still have about 650mls of the liter I got last time. Storing in deep freeze in brown glass bottles. Once I have my chest freezer up again I'll probably grab another liter in case some stupid crap happens with taxes in the future.

I have always used nude nicotine and have never been disappointed. I've only tried their freebase nicotine and haven't tried their salts but if the quality of their freebase is anything to go off of you'd be in good hands buying from them

Just got 100mg nic salt from river and its fine no issue. However back then when they first launched Salts I got two batches of really dark ones that's very very spicy. Unfortunately I live overseas and returning etc is too much of a hassle.
