As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a category of flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.
#This week, this is also where you can comment to win the Berry Flavor Pack ($70 value!) from Flavorah.

Last time Blue Raspberry was the FOTW, I tried a handful of them, here are some brief notes. Worst to first, IMO.
TFA Blue Raspberry - weak until high % then, quickly becomes Blue Raspberry hairspray. Maybe there's a golden % where it's actually usable? Not sure.
FW Blue Raspberry - A little bit bitter, a little bit soapy, but better than TFA, could be made to work, somehow, if those off notes could be tamed/covered.
CAP Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy - Too much tastes bitter, like burnt sugar bitterness. Use low as a candy (especially blue raspberry candy) sweetener but not as a main flavor, works great. Might do some muting, clearly lots of ethyl maltol here.
LB Blue Raspberry - Also pretty weak concentration-wise, but on par for most LB. More boldly flavored and better that other options, but tastes like blue raspberry candy with some blades of fresh cut grass stuck to it. Just a couple of blades. Like the way green apple can get a little grassy.
OSDIY Blue Raspberry Slush - Weak in terms of both concentration and, even at a high concentration, fairly soft-flavored. But it tastes like a blue raspberry slushie, it just needs a little more punch and syrupy sweetness. You can see it's deficiencies corrected here: Blue Frost Revisited
WF Sour Blue Raspberry Candy - Not actually sour. Excellent compared to others but can have just bit of a floral/soapy edge to it (laundry soap). Difficult to work with because too low % = not enough flavor, adequate % for flavor, there's that soapy edge. As I vape on it at 7.5% longer that laundry soap thing becomes less and less noticeable and the flavor becomes more enjoyable, but when I take a break from it and return, laundry soap is back. Update to this one: I learned a trick for this one to get plenty of great blue raspberry flavor without that soapy thing - keep it under 7% but back it up with some VT Boysenberry. As seen here: Blue Razz Ring Pop.
I have a few more blue razz to add my repertoire this week: OoO Blue Raspberry Candy, FW Blue Ice, MB Blue Rock Candy, SCE Blue Raspberry, EF Blue Raspberry, OoO Square Candy Blue Raspberry, and FF Blue Raspberry. Anyone have any insights into these guys in particular, would love to hear them.
No info to add, just a ty for testing these and the heads up on VT Boysenberry, also that recipe.
I've also been testing some blue razz for a minute, and I do have OoO Blue Raspberry Candy so will check that out sooner than later to give you some feedback if you want.
I wish the WF was actually sour. Any ideas on making it more sour?
I still need to grab that VT Boysenberry and try it but Forest Fruit and INW Rasp have been filling in the blank well enough. Thinking of trying LA Lemonade in place of the extra berry to see how that works.
A little FLV Sour Apple or a tiny bit of INW Lemon Mix or a combination of both to it be sour without tasting too much of apple or lemon
I recently made a 15ml of /u/josefbud's Thanks Obama, a clone of Murica/Bomb pops that I've been working through. Overall I'm really liking this clone. Vapewild isn't known to be the best mixers, but this flavor was one of my first when I started vaping and just plain delicious imo.
Oh hey! I appreciate the love. I still vape the shit out of that recipe every day, no exaggeration.
I e-mailed their team after I heard they were shutting down, and after telling them how much I love the recipe and sharing a link to my post to show how hard I've worked to try to clone it, I asked if they would share the recipe so that their flavors could continue to live on....
.... and they declined. I kinda get it but I'm also kinda sour about it.
Anyways, I'm glad people are still enjoying the clone!
Ah that's too bad they wouldn't share it, but understandable. Hopefully that means they'll have some use for the recipe, maybe selling it to someone else who's applying for PMTA. Would be a bummer for it to just disappear though.
It's definitely a good mix you made, appreciate the work you put in and for sharing it!
Not actual blue raspberry but blue raspberry nonetheless. Those of you who don’t have any blue raspberry, give these a shot
I’ve had LB’s and WF Sour Blue Raspberry Candy. I don’t know about everyone’s experience with LB, but I felt like I had to crank the % to get much out of it, maybe as much as 8-10, but I did like it. Probably, as the others have suggested, could have benefitted from some support from another flavor. Honestly, WF is kind of the same with necessitating a bit of a higher %, but maybe not quite as high as LB. Both are pretty good, both need to be kind of high (which could render them cost prohibitive for some people, I reckon?), and both would probably be awesome with some help. One I keep seeing around here is OSDIY. I really need to check it out
So the well of puns has finally run dry? Good, very good.
Here's the historical context on blue raspberry flavor: What Even Is Blue Raspberry Anyway?
Not really a raspberry fan but when I first started diy I would mix cap blue raspberry cotton candy solo. Don't recall at what percentage but it wasn't bad iirc. I'm sure there are better recipes and am interested in trying a few. I have inw raspberry and the cap blue raspberry cotton candy. Anyone recommend a better rasp? On a side note, that whole pack looks great, need!
> Anyone recommend a better rasp?
For a blue raspberry candy-type flavor I can definitely recommend WF Sour Blue Raspberry Candy. There are some really great-looking recipes out there that use it, too. Most mix it with another blue raspberry, raspberry, or boysenberry flavor.
Blue Raspberry is probably one of my favorite flavors out there.
But that being said every "Blue Raspberry" I have tried has been a disappointment in some way.
I hope there's a good one out there! Can't wait to see which is ranked #1
I'd still probably go with a combo of OSDIY Blue Raspberry Slush and LB Blue Raspberry if I was trying to make something. It's a pretty solid combo, but you have to use a decent amount since they are both on the weaker side.
No blue raspberry here. Any of my recipes that chase that flavor use either blueberry or sweet/regular raspberry plus other things to get there. Juicy peach TPA does a lot of heavy lifting in terms of "getting there" (when mixed with raspberry INW iirc)
Other than LB Blue Raspberry, I made Blue Sharks. Out of OOO & WF Blue raspberry candy. Both are excellent flavor and even better when mixed together.
This I made years back
Ws-23 @0.5% DV Crystal Blue @9% WF Blue Raspberry Sour Candy @2.5%
RF Blue Energy is one flavor that I very much enjoy, and I am very sad about not being able to easily source it anymore.
OSDIY Blue Raspberry Slush is definitely also a good one though - Best represented in u/apexified's Blue Frost Revisited - I mix it without the WS-23 though, as cooling is not something I enjoy.
I love blue razz flavored candy. Not sure why I never went after the profile in recipe. Either way I’ve been vaping the hell out Foments Daapleberry cream. I did sub jammy berry for cap blueberry jam as someone mentioned in the comments. I do get a blue razz note from this recipe. I’ve been really enjoying it. As always looking forward to the show.

I have only ever tried one blue raspberry and that was Flavor West. I dont remember what % it was but I'm guessing it was 5% and it was harsh as hell. I also have Cap Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy, i have yet to give this a try.
A blue raspberry recipe I enjoy:
Ingredient|% :---|---: 27 Bears (SilverLine) (CAP)|4.00 Blue Raspberry (FW)|3.50 Blue Raspberry (Nicotine River)|4.00 Sour Blue Raspberry Candy (WF)|2.00 Sparkling Wine (INAWERA)|1.50 Sweet Candy (CAP)|1.50
Flavor total: 16.5%
Always wondered why blue raspberry was a flavor. I have never once in my life seen an actual blue raspberry. Not exactly my jam but may be worth trying one of these in a cheesecake?
Have you tried CAP Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy as standalone or did you pair it with another flavor? I tend to mix it with CAP Vanilla Bean Ice Cream at 5% and it gets me a decent creamy candy raspberry.
That’s a lot of damn Strawberry in the FLV pack, I’d love to win it!
I finally got the confidence (or adventurousness, I guess - I’m still not confident in my abilities) to mix up something ‘original’. Here’s my Raspberry (not Blue Raspberry) venture...
I checked out a few Raspberry Cheesecake recipes on ATF and looked at what I had in my ~~bag~~ drawer of flavors. Mainly influenced by my limited inventory, but also as a result of my subjective preference (which has 0 experience backing it), and an inexplicable and overwhelming urge to make a 1-2-3-4 (is that a thing?), I came up with my own recipe.
TPA Graham Cracker Clear @ 1%
TPA Sweet Raspberry @ 2 %
TPA Strawberry Ripe @ 3%
CAP NY Cheesecake V1 @ 4%
I tried to quit smoking by vaping Heisenberg menthol about 3 times because I felt like i really needed menthol. It never worked for me until I started using other flavors & I really feel like I have stuck with it this time because of the diy community, you guys are awesome! Thanks to all of you for the plethora of information & welcoming atmosphere 😀
