I do 50 ml vanilla 50 ml coconut, 150 ml 100mg nIc, the rest vg in a liter jar. Been doing it for years. I love seeing all of your recipes, but maybe I’m just lazy? Cheap? Idk, just wondering if anyone else is in this with me.
Hi. Nah, if I had to vape one and the same profile nonstop, I‘d have quit long ago. What keeps me going is the hobby aspect of vaping. Playing with flavors, being creative and able to vape any profile whenever I choose to do so. I vape 4-5 different profiles daily.
But in the end, whatever works for you and keeps you from smoking counts. There’s no right or wrong. Stay safe!
I'm a heathen and vape unflavored salt nic.
Same. I even do it for my 3mg tanks because I'm too lazy to split up my 1l of freebase.
I have over 100 flavors. I just can't be fucked to mix with them.
Same. And unflavored juice makes your coils last like 5x longer.
When I first started vaping unflavored, I just had to change my wick after a month because I didn't believe that it could still be good.
It was still perfectly white.
If I do mix with flavor, I mix it at 1/3-1/2 the flavor percentage that I would mix for someone I'm selling it to.
3% 555, .75% each cap sugar cookie, inw biscuit, fa joy, 3% nicotine... been doing this for years after trying to get into mixing and just not. People ask me what I'm vaping, it's not just me that likes it... but I don't sell it either, too much trouble. I mix 500ml at a time, because that's the size of my squeeze-bottle.
Edit: Also, I mix it by adding all ingredients, capping and shaking for maybe 20s. I then immediately fill my empty vape, because I've been out for a while now. It'll steep by the time I'm 1/4 way through 500ml. It's neat how it tastes a bit different before that happens!
This is actually not terrible. I thought it was going to be heavy on the tobacco but it's more like a darkened semi-dry but almost fluffy cookie. Given this is after about 8 hours of mixing.
Not sure if using it in an MTL is giving off something different note wise but for a simple recipe I am kinda enjoying it. Be really good with a morning cup of coffee.
Interested in seeing what it's like after a week or two.
Menthol ~10%, nic salts ~10-12mg/ml, 50-50 pg/vg.
I have enough flavors to make a few recipes, but only really do it for friends. I'll sample them of course, but the menthol is my go to daily vape.
Anyone more boring than me? XD
Edit: fixed nic percentage
I'm similar but maybe slightly more boring, I just put 70/30 12% Nic salt liquid in a 10 ml bottle and add 2 or 3 drops of menthol. I spent ages trying to make nice "tobacco" type flavours, I made some good ones too but realised nothing was ever going to actually taste like tobacco, started with my lazy method above and now I'm actually enjoying vaping more and my coils last forever. I now have a drawer full of flavours that I'll probably never use up.
Edit: u/counselor_x made a really good point too, being an ex-smoker myself, something neutral that is the same every time replicates smoking much more closely than a "tobacco" flavour. I always have my pipes if I want to taste tobacco but for everyday smoking this works best for me.
I've tried all sorts of flavors out of curiosity, but I always go back to cheesecake. Sometimes if Im feeling super crazy I'll make blueberry cheesecake or vanilla cheesecake to mix it up, but I usually regret it and go back to plain old cheesecake. I'm just a weirdo that way
I've vaped the same flavor for like 5 years. Icy menthol, 3% nicotine. I mix 1500 ml at a time in a container and just shake it up to mix it. Being an ex-smoker, I've always been used to having the same thing day-in and day-out. I never smoked menthol, but once I cut the nicotine all the way down to 3%, I needed something to replace that throat hit, and icy mint was the ticket.
I think that's awesome! TBH I wish I was more boring, I have about 10 unique setups each with a different flavor in them just on my night stand lol. My hubs has 2 very similar MTL pod devices with 2 of almost the exact same tobacco flavors in them & still prefers 1 device/ 1 flavor. I can't even stick with 1 kind of setup let alone 1 kind of flavor profile. I've recently started my DIY journey, my first flavor order was $75 worth of 15ml sizes so I could start testing my flavors according to my palette. Well, not even a month after my first flavor order, I purchased another $200 worth of flavors (mostly 15ml sizes plus a few 2oz sizes of flavors I tried/ liked/ will use frequently). Lol I didn't get into DIY to save money per say, however I was tired of spending $100-150 for 8-13 100-120ml bottles of commercial liquids due to how often I switch things up (def not expensive by any means bc I'm a bargain hunter but STILL more than I wanted to be spending). Technically, I'll start actually saving at SOME point because $200 worth of DIY will last me ages compared to $200 worth of commercial juice ;)
I'm an ex-smoker that stuck to lights in general, but funny enough I would switch up my brand or strength/ flavor every few months or try new packs when I had coupons or saw good deals (I'm in Cali so analogs have been ~$6.50-11 per pack for the past ~5 years). Can probably blame my unmedicated ADHD for the need for variety, who knows! You do you, whatever keeps you off stinkies is fine :)
I’m just starting to get into DIY but yeah I guess I would describe my flavor preference as pretty simple/boring as well. I was buying a lot of simple fruit blends and candy flavors. Since I’ll probably be saving a lot of money with DIY I do plan on expanding my horizons a bit and having some fun with it though.
I been doing max VG 12% vanilla bean ice cream and 8% strawberry for years. My wife bought me a bunch of different juices for my Bday a while back and they just sat and got rancid. I guess it's kinda like when you smoked you always prefer your brand.
Dude, thats exactly what I do! Cool!

My standard recipe is, ordering 20 60ml bottles, 100% vg:
8% Strawberry, 4ml
4% Vanilla bean ice cream, 2ml
and once in a bottle I´ll add 1%, 0.5ml sweetener to mix it up.
Been too lazy to try to find another good recipe plus my vape drains sooo much juice.. cant go back to lesser usage
I have been vaping for well over a decade at this point and I was way more boring when I was buying juice from vendors honestly. 99% of commercial juices are so much worse than what I can make myself--they are blunt, overpowering, sickly sweet. Very little subtlety or nuance. I exclusively vaped Key Lime Cookie by Ripe Vapes for years.
Now I have ~200 flavors in my racks and at least 10 juices in my rotation at all times. I don't even use tanks because I swap what I'm vaping so often. It's so much cheaper as to be almost free, so I will try anything once.
My ADV is a seven flavor mix, but it's a perfect recipe: for mixing 3 litres: all the flavors work out to standard bottle sizes (30, 60 and 120 ml). I toss it all into a mason jar and make one big one-shot. Then, I mix 500 ml at a time (100 ml flavor, 50 ml PG and top the bottle off with VG). It ain't rocket science at this volume.
I keep a couple 60 ml bottles of three flavor mix (a simple apple juice and a simple watermelon) for a change up, which last months.
I'm happy.
