Nude Nicotine Review-2019 to 2020
submitted about 5 years ago by goryao

Nude Nicotine=Not to be trusted

I've been looking for a good company to source nicotine from for a few years, and recently purchasing from this company has become a literal waste of money. I've mostly purchased their "signature" and "classic" nicotine bends, and about a year ago I would have said the products are top notch.

However, recently I have spent over $150 on nicotine solutions, and have received some nasty stuff. The "signature" blend gives me some serious throat irritation (to the point of ulcers), while the "classic" smells of some old nicotine. I've purchased two batches of each, and both have been a waste of money and lung health.

I emailed their staff to find out whats going on; to ask about what ingredients are in it that could do this, what I could do when mixing to alleviate this, or if there is anything I am doing wrong (for the record, I have a BS in chemistry).

I have yet to receive any feed-back besides "we will forward your concerns to our chemist", and am at a decent financial loss. Not only that, but the negative review I wrote on their products page has been removed (review said nothing offensive, just commenting on the lack of product details and customer service).

So far my experience with this company is: buy "sample" nicotine first and get a good taste, then when you order more, its not remotely the same and actually causes damage to your throat. Receive no information regarding the stuff you are inhaling as it is "proprietary". Then expect no reply regarding the non-refundable $150 worth of nicotine you order. Followed by having any related negative comments removed from their website as a warning to future buyers.

Nicotine solutions are a serious thing, its is a poisonous solution that is meant to be diluted and inhaled. From my experience with this company and their products, I STRONGLY URGE YOU NOT TO TEST IT. IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG YOU WILL NOT GET ANY INFO, OR YOUR MONEY BACK.

On another note: I found these empoyee reviews on glassdoor; ;which probably says a lot more about how this company is run (GLOWING REVIEWS!!):

"Horrible"- I worked at Nude Nicotine full-time for more than a year

None whatsoever. Avoid if you can.

Cons

- Owner is a whiny child with serious personal issues. Does not respect his employees or even his own business. - (Some) of the higher-ups are two-faced and will turn on you given the opportunity to kiss up to the owner. - Owner - Owner - Owner

Pros

Newp not a single good thing to say.

Cons

We haven't recommended Nude Nicotine for a few years now. In fact, we tell people not to order from them. Their history is all over this sub. I'm not too sure why you risked ordering.

Partially my fault; I didn't do too much company research. Was very interested in finding other salts other than benzoic and salicylic, and they seemed to be the only ones who offer something else....though im still not quite sure wtf i was inhaling.

Yup. Try Carolina Xtracts.

Seconded on Carolina Xtracts. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on their nicotine over the years and haven’t had the first issue. Couldn’t tell you anything about their customer support because I haven’t needed any. Fast shipping too, but I’m in Alabama so it’s just a hop, and a skip away from me. Seems like my orders arrive super fast.

I've gotten 3 bottles of sour nicotine from CXTC that i've had to dump. Somethings not 100% with their manufacturing either. Though when their nicotine is on point, its great.

I prefer CNT over CXTC today.

You know, part of the reason why I stopped mixing my own juice is because the juice when I mix throat hits to where it's kinda painful on some mixes. I just knew, store bought stuff didn't do that. So I quit mixing. I've only ever bought nude nicotine and never thought anything about it. I'm glad I came across your post. Now I know.

Me too. I followed the diy subs recommended vendors, 3 different ones. Anything fruity tasted the nic in, throat hit was worse. 4 different bottles and vendors, all freezer kept, still 90% full. If it was a heavy dessert it was fine but anything light and fruity was always off.

Right, yeah. Me too. I just figured commercial stuff had a secret I was missing. So I gave up. Guess I'll try a different nic source.

Time to switch to Liquid Nicotine Wholesalers or Nicotine River.

I like LNW's Nic Salts well enough. My first and only batch from them wasn't 100% clear, but it's tasteless and works as well as I could have expected. I just wish LNW carried INW and MB.

Huh. I too ordered from NN a few years ago and it was nice and neutral but the latest batch I got like a year ago was unusable.

Now I know it wasn't some... Aberration.

Nite though, the reviews from disgruntled employees are a dime a dozen, don't indicate much other than people didn't get along.

Question out of curiosity, how are you storing your nicotine? And it arrived foul smelling from the start?

by goryaoabout 5 years ago

In the freezer, allowing it to fully warm up to 20*C before opening it (so it wont condense too much water on the surface).

The "signature" one has no smell...but strangely the best batch I had from them of this one has a bit of a peanut smell to it.

The "classic" has a bit of a old tire smell to it. Its subtle but it comes through when diluted and mixed.

Have you ever tried liquid barn? I just ordered some and am a bit nervous.

Liquid barn's CNT is great. Not much a fan of NS though - covers up flavors too much. The NS was a bit too oxidized, but that could have been because of summer shipping.

Liquid barn uses bottom shelf VG though (essential depot/musim mas). Their PG is less a problem.

Hi. Too be honest, I would have returned the order and gotten my money back. Easy as that. That’s why I only place orders with PayPal or a CC. No risk.

They say "non-refundable" before you make the purchase; its somewhat my fault for not researching them before, though I figure I would post my experience so others don't have to spend money and time experimenting with crap.

Assuming you paid with a credit or debit card, you are automatically protected against defective/faulty/not-as-advertised products. Just call the number on the back of your card, tell them you received bad merchandise and the vendor refused to make good.

They will most likely tell you to ship the product back and give them the tracking number before reversing the charge.

This. I make all of my online purchases with a credit card since there are a ton of shady people and companies selling junk.

Filing a claim is super easy now and typically will fall under “item received not as described”.

I’ve filed a lot of claims due to poor business ethics.

I’ve been using liquid barn for a year, the price is right and the quality is always very solid.

They hate customers that are not big distributors, they will ship big orders fast for companies and keep things good. But will completely ignore personal orders. I had some sort of issue on all 3 of my orders through the years.

I know it's been going around here for years but I've never had a problem with Nude Nicotine. But I only order one thing, their nude armor V2 100/mg in VG base.

A 500ML lasts me about a year without refrigeration because of the container. Never had any harshness even when getting to the end of the bottle. My last batch stayed clear for about 6 months, then faint yellow until it ran out.

Orders can take a bit... I had no updates for 2 weeks after I paid for my order but then it arrived.

As far as any of their new trendy stuff... I avoid it. I only use them for bulk DIY freebase nic.

I have an almost 3 yr old bottle of Armor V2 in my deep freezer that I transfer out of from time to time then stick it back in the freezer and its still totally clear. I need to order more and I really like their V2 Armor for the storage aspect, I am questioning it after seeing all of this but I will probably just take the chance.

If you search thru the archived posts here on reddit, you will find a time when they were shipping manufacturing failed batches of nicotine. And they shipped a lot of it for a while. Recommended their failed nicotine solutions be shaken to avoid 'hotspots'. As a chemist, you will instantly queue into whats going on with nude nicotines.

Just a quick update: I heated that bad batch of signature salt to 90*C for about 20min, and that seems to have removed the harsh throat hit, and that odd smell of peanuts. I assume they did not fully react nicotine with whatever acids are used.

If anyone has a similar issue, I recommend taking 10-20ml of a bad batch and sticking it into some boiling water for 20min (shake around to distribute heat), and see if that helps.

So, if anyone is interested; I found this study that looks at the nicotine salts present in a bunch of eliquid, and three of the samples used are nude nicotines salts. Here is a bit of a summary; Smooth is a 1:1 nicotine:levulinic acid ( based on it's pH of 6.4), Hit is a mixture of malic and benzoic acid, probably a 1:1/2:1/2 nicotine:benzoic:malic (again based on it's low pH of 5, as a 1:1 salt would be around 6.5-6.8), Signature is a mixture of a bunch of acids; levulinic, salicylic, benzoic, malic, tartaric...and I have no idea in what ratio.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7291795/

For the record, the signature was my problem item; and I can see why, there are so many acids in there, and two of them may not even vape due their very high boiling points (malic and tartaric), also I can think of a few reasons that that mixture would not be stable over time, but its a bit so message if interested.
