submitted about 5 years ago by Hotinthakitchen1

What syringe or syringe Luger tip do you guys recommend to pull VG? Also what bottles or storage methods do you guys use to hold your PG/VG in? I I had been using the bottles that the liquid shipping but once it gets towards the end it's hard to get it with the luger tips. Thanks

Edit: I'm in the United States

Get a scale and mix by weight. I used syringes for a while, but mixing by weight is so much easier and faster.

This is one of the most popular ones for DIY. Looks like it's out of stock at Amazon for a reasonable price. It should be around $20-25

Thanks for sending me the link. I happen to have a few grams and microgram scales. I don't think weighing out is going to work for me I only make two 15 ml batches at a time

use something like this for PG/VG. Get a funnel if your aim sucks.

Find a dollar tree. They have 2 condiment bottles for $1 that work perfectly for pg/vg.

I measure by weight, but I use the 16oz bullet bottles from river supply (currently sold out) for my VG. They are clear, so you can see how much is in them and sturdy enough I've used them over and over, plus they have adjustable twist tops.

I use these too. Made life amazing..My dumbass was using 120ml chubby bottle for vg when I first started earlier this year...Until the lid fell off and vg went everywhere.. Mixing by weight is great btw. I was gonna do syringes when I started but Im glad I didn't, even with the great vg spill of early 2020 lol

If you are in the U.S. I highly recommend purchasing the Liquid Barn 500ml bottles. They are super easy to dispense from while you’re mixing and totally eliminate the need for a syringe.

Once they’re empty I refill them from my typical 1L bottle and keep rolling with them.

They were a lifesaver for me. I absolutely hated working with syringes. It was messy and added too much time to the process of mixing.

Hi. Get a scale that measures in 0.01g increments and a limit of 500g, like the AWS LB-501, which comes with a power supply and calibration weights. And use condiment bottles for your VG/PG. It really makes mixing so much easier. No cleanup. It’s a „game changer“.

I get PG in 16oz bottles from the pharmacy. Then I put a 'Yorker tip for 500/1000ml hdpe bottles'

They work well for 4oz concentrate bottles too

VG I freehand pour as the last ingredient to complete the finished volume of liquid. Weigh everything else.

Flavorings: Squeezing drops/drips works well once you get the hang of it. I sometimes just pour a little over into the cap and know what 1ml looks like now. Syringes can get worn out quickly as well as the ink getting dissolved by solvents in the flavs

VG, I store in 16oz and a smaller 6oz widemouth ldpe bottle

Fill into a cup, use a 50mL syringe and widen the nozzle. All depends on the scale of juice you are making. Weight is probably better for large scale work

None. I've heard that the picnic condiment bottles from Walmart work well and cost like $2.
