As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a category of flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.

I love chocolate and chocolate milk vapes. I have quite a few chocolate flavors, but my favorite would be VT Devon Cream. And if I should happen to win this Bakery Pack I will vape it forward to someone that doesn't have it already.
That must've been hard if you love chocolate vapes. It's only because you sent me the FLV Milk Chocolate and TPA Coconut Candy that I was able to create my favorite recipe to date 👍
I had duplicates of those flavors and many others.
care to share? sounds delicious
I made this one with higher VG because I wanted to throw it in my Asgard that was on my Saga. I love it, though others have questioned the high percentage of milk chocolate.
I think if you like high wattage vaping or series vaping it's going to be good. I don't know how well it does for low wattage, but I assume it's going to be flavorful no matter. One thing I do know is that it's definitely a coil killer LoL
Recipes Made Simple: Bourbon Chocolate Tobacco

|Co.|Flavor|%| |:-|:-|:-| |FLV|Bourbon|0.75| |FLV|Chocolate Deutsch|0.5| |FLV|Kentucky Blend|1| |FLV|Red Burley|1.5|
FLV Chocolate Deutsch is a pretty good chocolate for a flavor that’s difficult to nail in ejuice. It reminds me of fake chocolate ovaltine drink and I guess some coconut. Hard to explain. I’m not sure I like this flavor yet because I like the inhale but not so much the end of the exhale, something funky going on I can’t describe. Then it kind of goes away after a few ml’s. u/isuamadog told me it might be the FLV Bourbon and not necessarily the FLV Chocolate Deutsch
FLV Red Burley also has a chocolate note that sits nicely in the background as part of a base to round out a tobacco recipe profile
did you change your mind about this one?
Golden Arches Shake is my favorite chocolate recipe so far.
CBV Schokolade (Chocolate) @ 3% mtl
- 1 day: kinda dark chocolate, light alcoholic note, somehow chalky but not unpleasant. When you exhale it isas if chocolate powder was laying on the roof of your mouth.
- 3 days: slightly spicey, stronger and more voluminous than before. I like the chocolate taste. I think it could go well with tobacco.
- 1 week: good, not creamy. Probably good with Bav Cream, ice cream or whipped cream.
The best straight choc base I have tried is mb glamour chocolate. Its a darker chocolate (like a 50% cocoa dark chocolate earthy sort of flavour) but it can be easily helped into the role of milk chocolate or choc syrup or a bakery chocolate. The way I think about using it is as a cocoa type flavour. Lower with creams added for a mild flavour and higher for a darker chocolate flavour. Only choc ive tried that doesn't taste like chocolate playdoh (im looking at you fw cookies and cream ewwwww)
I use MB Glamour Chocolate in combination with JF Milk Chocolate. The latter is true to its name, straight-forward milk chocolate. Combining it with the MB adds some of the darker cocoa notes that the JF lacks. The MB by itself doesn't quite work for me because of its candy notes, which get too dominant if used as the only chocolate in a recipe.
Unfortunately, FLV Milk Chocolate was a bit of a disappointment. It's not exactly terrible, but lacks depth and gets syrupy if you use too much. FLV White Chocolate, though, is hands-down the winner in that department (if we're including white chocolates here, that is.)
I think you meant chalk full of fun... Because that's what a lot of chocolate is to me, chalk.
Also chocolate-flavored condoms
> chocolate-flavored condoms
Let's all call our congressmen. Why isn't there a flavor ban on condoms, to combat the youth cocksucking epidemic??
I imagine that would be a FLV Milk Chocolate around 4% and like INW Shisha Strawberry say around 6%. Do you get that good chocolate base with a nice aggressive plastic taste in your mouth.....
Yay!!! I can get behind this one 🤘 My first favorite recipe that I made completely on my lonesome.
I made this for my series mech so not only does it taste phenomenal, but it chucks serious clouds 😁👍
I do like FLV Milk Chocolate around 0.3% Ive tried hs australian and fa cocoa as sft. i felt hs AC made me gag and fa cocoa while dry and powdery i kinda liked it more. i find that chocolate seems to really do better with a touch of sweetener in it and i bet the HS woulda been better with some sugar. Definitely a tricky flavor to make something outright enjoyable and easier to use a flavor to add ahint of chocolate than to go for a full on chocolate candy realistic style vape.

im requesting (feel free to deny) an episode on tobacco bases. just anything that is plain bacco. something about that intrigues me, even though that can be boring or already done with previous episodes, i just am thinking about ry4 enthusiasts who might want to add their own tobacco to a caramel type thing. thanks for considering.

Edit: Comment on chocolate
Do you have a list of flavors you'd consider tobacco bases?
base is probably a bad word for it. i guess i didnt *really* think it through but like tpa dk tobacco base, fe tobacco/tobacco additive/tobacco absolute, hs tobacco and maybe the blends and the letters. as i type that i realize it's been covered iirc since i've seen those episodes like a zillion times.
I love me some good chocolates, it's hard but doable.Do keep in mind mouthfeel isnt going to be the same as real chocolate, which is a big deal in chocolate-land. Also, every country has their own version of chocolate, so my chocolatebars/drinks/whatever will be different from other countries. Saw some cool documentaries on it a while ago, chocolate is deep man.

Anyway, VT Devon Cream is my current favorite, it can bring out chocolate notes in other flavors that are not really chocolate-y on their own.Let me present one of my latest creations:
ChocHo Time
|Co.|Flavor|%| |:-|:-|:-| |VTA|Devon Cream|2| |FA|Soho|6|
https://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/3710481/ChocHo+Time

Easy as balls recipe, a twist on the famous SoHo Time that is just a great recipe as is.As soon as i first tastes the original i knew i wanted to try it with Devon Cream and see if it would work. Little tweaking on the % and done.
I don’t like chocolate, so I can’t really make a statement here, except that the amount of Double Chocolate V2 they use in Developed’s Ice Cream Drowned is just enough to balance the coffee and give it a good undertone that works.
Otherwise... chocolate is gross...
Not once have I ever thought of vaping anything chocolate, change my mind.
Andre's Mate (Bowden's Mate clone)
Ingredient|% :---|---: French Vanilla Creme (TPA)|1.50 Koolada 10% (TPA)|0.50 Menthol (TPA)|0.50 Milk Chocolate (Jungle Flavors)|2.50 Peppermint (Mild Winter) (FA)|1.75 Vanilla Custard (CAP)|1.00
Flavor total: 7.75%
Remember to rate it at e-liquid-recipes.com!
FLV Milk Chocolate is very strong I don't know how some use it @ 2-3% for me its 1 drop per 30ml. This is a quick and tasty I'm working on, the cnut is very lite but you can taste the MC
Coconut (Coco, Cocco) (FA) 1.5%
Coconut Candy (TPA) 0.80%
Custard (INW) 3.00%
Milk Chocolate (Flv) 0.08%(1drop)
Super Sweet (Cap) 0.25%
Intriguing. If there's a recipe out there for a good thin mint, or mint chocolate chip, I'm all in. I just always expected chocolate vaping to be similar to chocolate tea, always smelling amazing but tasting like the breath of a close-talker who just ate a Hershey's bar.
Shamrock Cookie by Denske is a solid 10/10 mint chocolate cookie utilising FLV Creme de Menthe. I would 100% mix this again.. Might be worth checking out!
That sounds delicious. I'm missing most of those ingredients, but looks like I need to set up a new flavor order. Thanks for the tip!
I swear it will be worth it! I had to make a slight change because I can only do CAP sugar cookie up to 1.5%, so I subbed the remaining 1.5% with WF Sugar Cookie. You should smell that stuff! Amazing. This recipe had a few 5-star reviews on ATF and for very good reason. :)
Side note: u/ID10-T Maybe we check out raspberry (red) again as FOTW after the week of Pear?
I believe it was last looked at in April 2018. I know that doesn't sound like long, but holy mother it's been nearly 2.5 years - 3 by the time the week of the week after Pear comes around! ;)
How long has it been since Ice Cream was FOTW? I'm down for that any time, with a heavy focus on Vanilla Ice Cream. I think there's a few new ones out, or v2's. There's too many to try alone! I love this sub. You guys just get me.
Agree! Ice creams wouldn't be bad since everyone likes them + new flavors/brands appeared in the mean time.
FYI (If you have the Flavors) My Ice Cream Stone 4% V.I.C. (LB) 1% F.V.I.C. (Hangsen) .30% Devon Cream (CCW)
I'm loving my Medicine Flower "sundae" brew right now: 1.0% Dark Chocolate, 0.8% Mint and 0.6% Butterscotch is just so good that I can't put it down. Tried it last week with no added PG and this week going for 90% VG and I like the flavor of 90/10 a bit better, and I'm not really tasting the PG or getting a sore throat like I would with a higher PG ratio.
Would anyone like to share their experiences with adding distilled water for thinning? I really would prefer to not use additional PG at all, and I was quite happy with all of Open Source Vapor's juices when they were around, and they used only distilled water for thinning, so I know it's good but not what ratio is best.
The only chocolate I have in my inventory is Hangsen Australian, and I haven’t gotten a chance to use it because all the top recipes I’ve found include flavors that I don’t have.
I’m still too green to experiment with inventing my own recipe, or even pairing with something else.
When I tried SFT it was before I had a scale and I wasn’t keeping notes so...bupkiss really.
This week might be the time to do another SFT before school starts up and everything gets much busier in the house.
I really love OOO chocolate. atleast once a week I'll drip a bottle I made of a chocolate milk type thing.
I don't have any recipe notes on why I chose what I chose because I usually don't write anything down or even think about why I'm using what I use, but here
2% OOO Chocolate 1.5% TFA Malted Milk 0.5% FA Cream Fresh 0.25% FW Cotton Candy one single drop (100ml bottle) FLV lemonade because in the back of my mind I feel like it does something even though it probably doesnt and is totally useless in this recipe
I have one chocolate that I will never use. It was packed in with an order a while back.
I would kill for a decent Nestles Chocolate Milk vibe.
I still cant believe that nobody managed to nail such a popular flavor. Old inw was pretty good, but far from perfect. Hangsen is ok-ish. Everything else i tried is either charcoal or pure sugar.
I only own 1 milk chocolate concentrate, FLV Milk Chocolate (10ml is a lifetime supply).
FLV milk chocolate is a pretty straight forward hersheys syrup like chocolate that overtakes mixes. I've been using it with some AP and cereal 27/cheesecake graham crust to get a little bakery thing going on but its hard to balance out.
Edited out the non milk chocolate comment....
OK, so an only chocolate recipe I think may be worthy. Chocolates are difficult, but this one I believe is worthy. You can add a touch of coconut, but i believe the Bav Cream carries it forward. When the "tootsie roll" flavor is supposed to come through on the exhale, the JF Cocoa seems to cover it fairly well. Not 100%, but pretty well. Everyone should have these flavors, so...hopefully the "rubber" jokers will try this, it's quite palatable. I wish it were as good as the scent off the drip tip after a vape, but it's pretty good.
The moral of the story is, it's nice to visit chocolates, but you don't want to stay here. Maybe a hint of..., maybe a smidge here and there..., there is no chocolate as a main note that will ever satisfy.
Ingredient|% :---|---: Bavarian Cream (Crema Bavarese) (FA)|1.50 Cocoa (Jungle Flavors)|3.00 Cream (Flavorah)|0.75 Milk Chocolate (TPA)|7.00 Sweetener (Sucralose) (FW)|1.00
Flavor total: 13.25%
Never dipped my toes into chocolate but would love to try to make a vape like those candies that look like Reese cups but are filled with marshmallow and coconut instead.
The only chocolate vape I’ve ever enjoyed was an Oreo cookie recipe I found that used chocolate clear. It tasted pretty spot on! Most other chocolate flavors I’ve tried have weird off notes. I’m excited to see what you guys recommend in this episode, I really would like to try more chocolate flavorings.
I really like ~~PUR~~ (Edit: I just realized I mean OOO, whoops) chocolate milk. At 5% I feel like it tastes just like a tall cold, slightly malty diner chocolate milk. Especially if you bump it up with just a little bit of a milky cream like FA Fresh Cream or FLV whipped cream or milk
I love chocolate vapes. I have made a few decent ones that are close to where I want them, but I can’t work on them often because my wife can sniff it out of ANY mix I make and it makes her gag. What’s up with that?!? Is that a normal thing? Can people be that sensitive to the smell of chocolate or is that unique to her? I suppose I’ll have to stay a closet chocolate vaper, but it’s worth it...
VTA Devon Cream is what I have been using lately to add a Chocolate vibe to a mix. It's not as intrusive as straight up chocolates, and lets bakery and other flavors shine a bit more.
HG Australian Chocolate at low % is another go to for the same purpose, I find it a good accent without taking over mixes. Using it as an accent with Cookies and Cream recipes worked well for me.
INW Milk Chocolate was my first a experience with chocolates, and was fairly dissapointed (The high expectations thing). Still have the bottle around. Haven't touched it for years. After this episode, I feel like I should revisit it, and try some recipes. I'll probably enjoy it more this time round.
MB Glamour Chocolate, WF Lava Cake, VTA Chocolate Mousse, FLV Chocolate Deutsch are all pretty good ones, just not my favorite type of vapes...
Does Vape Train Devon Cream count since it's a great mild chocolate flavor and not any sort of crem, Devon or otherwise?
Well, profile of the week is Milk Chocolates, so I guess it's not the most suited to talk about. It is supposed to be a Devon Cream (not a very succesful one), but gets by as a light chocolate in mixes, which I have found useful to create fillings in Croissants and other bakery of the sorts. Not sure if that answers the question?
I'm looking for a nice heavy dark chocolate. I havn't found one yet. Any pointers? Combos?
That Sweet Dough looks interesting. I have the Marshmallow and the Frosting as well as the Apple Line. But got to get my hands on it. Is it like a Funnel Cake Flavor?
Chocolate flavors scare me now. Bad experience with chocolate when I first started out and didn’t know anything. Haven’t been able to try one since.
I usually go with Lava Cake (Liquid Barn) or Australian Chocolate (Hangsen)... I have heard great things about INW Chocolate although I've never tried it as of yet... Also Chocolate Mousse (Vape Train) is another smooth and tasty 1 as well as Glamour Chocolate (MB)
I'm not a fan of chocolatey vapes, but I did just order the flavors I needed to mix Folkart's Mayan Milk. Looking forward to giving it a go!
Awesome, looking forward to checking out these notes. Chocolate can be a tricky one! You know what, WF Chocolate Chunks I've only used once but remember that being good, and like actual chocolate chunks (!?) FLV Milk Chocolate is more like Chocolate Syrup, strong but enjoyable. I haven't played a whole lot with chocolates due to the off-notes, but I thought Folkart's Mayan Milk was the perfect choccy milk and I attribute this recipe with teaching me patience and the sheer power of THA STEEP.
Edit: Sorry, I realised I jumped the gun and have more to say (hardly surprising being I am a massive sweet tooth)
Shamrock Cookie by Denske (Mint/Dark Choc/Cookie) - Gets an honourable mention from me. I couldn't imagine it gets better than this TBH!
How about using WF Egg Yolk & WF Buttermilk to enhance chocolate flavours?
I recently came across a recipe: Choccy Croissy by EyeM2sRus which notes that the new WF's mix well with chocolates (BTW this guy makes a mean apple cookie pie and graham cereal w/ milk)
Just something I thought was interesting and perhaps someone else will find this useful to experiment with. I'm not sure if this mixer is on reddit but I'd love to hear some more of their thoughts on this subject!
Hey @cxxxxp!! Thank you so much for the kind words! They definitely added a richness to the chocolates and overall vape that was unique to me. And i really loved it. My goal with egg yolk there was more for the croissant but it worked its way into that fudgy chocolate and did some magic. I meed to play a lot more with these combos!!
MB glamour chocolate was the 1st chocolate flavor I ever try,and it is awesome so I was lucky. I LOVE VT Devon Cream and imho they go very well together as demonstrated by Staybert in 1-2-3 Choc Nana yumm! OOO chocolate milk smells amazing but I was a bit disappointed when I tried it, it was too thin.
I've heard many good things about JF milk chocolate and it's on its way here, can't wait to try it.
thank you guys for what you do. looking forward to this week's episode =]
Anyone know how VT Devon Creme compares to CCW Devon Creme (from Chefs)?
I bought some from Chefs thinking mistakenly that it was VT Devon Creme rebranded, but nope, it’s apparently it’s own thing in that Chefs rebrand is Cup Cake World.
I need to pickup VTA’s version for a few recipes I want to mix, but curious how they compare and if that’s really necessary.
It's necessary, sorry.
Not that CC Devon Cream is a bad flavor, they're just very different.
VT Devon Cream - I absolutely cannot figure out why this is called Devon Cream. This flavor is interesting but in terms of authenticity it’s a hot mess. It tastes like a dark chocolate milkshake. Super chocolately, which is very odd, since Devon Cream is just high fat clotted cream with no chocolate at all. Thick full rich cream but in addition to lot of cocoa, has sour dairy note. The sourness isn’t like a barfy butryic or even yogurty sourness, just very clearly dairy.
Chef’s Choice (Cupcake World) Devon Cream - It’s like sour cream mixed with butter and bit of vanilla. Super thick and heavily buttery dairy cream with vanilla and a dark but not quite caramelly sweetness. Almost too rich. Not eggy like a custard. All volume all the time. The dairy is strong and little sour, like a sour cream sourness. Not overwhelmingly sweet but does have a dark but not quite caramelly sweetness to it. I might start using this with bakeries. I think the amount of butter here might get a little weird with fruits in classic fruit and cream mixes but not with bakeries. Butter flavor and butter smoothness. Great stuff.
Interesting. I only recently got the CCW Devon Cream and hadn’t SFT’d yet. Guess I need to. I do recall hearing “chocolate” and Devon cream together which is why I bought it initially. And I must have imagined the cocoa-ish whiff I got from smelling it when it first arrived. Brain playing tricks perhaps. It does sound useful though, just not for my original intended purpose. Anddddd VTA version goes in the cart!
Thanks for the insights u/ID10-T !
I believe I have 2 chocolate flavors on their way to me this week. Probably no good cause I couldn’t find the Hangsens Australian anywhere, but dabble I must until the episode airs. Looking forward to the episode so can hopefully find at least a few more to try.
Chocolate is one of those things I have a tough time with. FA Cocoa is awesome and true to flavor, but it kills coils like nobody's business. TPA Double Chocolate is my go to, but its more of an acceptable compromise. Not my recipe, but this is my goto if I am in the mood for a DL chocolate vape: https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/3351
Flv Milk Chocolate is good. I ended up with a freebie bottle of FA cocoa, I can't figure out how to do anything with it. I also have Double Chocolate Clear, I use it at times with WF milk or tpa malted milk with Flv Milk chocolate for an okay choc milk vape.
I think I have less chocolate flavors than any other profile in my collection. I was keen to try and replicate that golden ticket, well up to a point. As much as I loved that juice, it had a tendency to take my breath away. Everything I picked up in the beginning of my DIY journey was based on notes by Noted. So, though I have some chocolates, I’m a little intimidated. Between the general opinion on chocolate and my personal experience, I’ve only made one choc recipe, and I tried it only once. I certainly wouldn’t mind finding one or two that are good.
I have only used JF Milk Chocolate and FLV Chocolate Deutsche. Though the later I wouldn't consider a "Milk Chocolate" it tastes more like a decent start on some sort of German chocolate cake. I have had pretty good luck with JF Milk Chocolate, i have used it in a few recipes that i found online as well as have been messing around making a Chocolate milk shake. To me it captures milk Chocolate its dark and syrupy im not sure how sweet it is on its own it was suggested to me to test it out with some sweetener.
I have HNG Australian Choc, OOO Choc milk, FLV Choc Deutsh, Milk Choc & White Choc. Try to come up with a Valentines like candy of Chocolate Raspberry or Chocolate Orange with a hint of tobacco in it. Maybe FLV Sweet & Smokey Tobacco. Hope you have some good recipes tonight that maybe I can adapt.
