What flavor makers do you think will fold?

Fuck all this PMTA bullshit

Goddamn government taking my freedoms

It's not the government, in this situation. It's supply and demand. Wayne pointed out that if enough juice makers go out of business, is there enough business left for the flavor makers. Does DIY make up for the shortfall?

How isn't it about government then? Aren't they the ones forcing ejuice makers into a position that makes them shut down, thus causing a domino effect to flavor suppliers?

That's still the PMTAs doing though...

Vape stuff is a minority of their business. Most of it goes to other places, to flavor medicine, candy, snowcones, coffee, etc

Hi. I think most flavor companies make the largest portion of their money by selling to other industries such as food, candies and other non-food scented products. And don’t forget that other countries are still vaping and consuming commercial ejuice. The US does not equate to the world. I strongly believe that flavor companies will remain in business.

Agree. Flavor companies aren’t going anywhere. The only thing for DIY that could become Scarce is liquid nicotine.

I'm going to throw down $300...it's a bad time for me but I don't want to be left with nothing like I was on the TP....ended up with a portable camping Bidet. In other words I don't want to have no choice but to buy a JUUL. Anyone know of discount codes for Nicotine River or Bull City?...Good Luck to all...Kim

None of them.

Kinda more worried about the nic availability than I am for flavours. I worry about punitive taxes on big bottles of nic, which would kill things for me. I have about 5 years worth in the freezer but that's not forever.

Ditto. I'm good for a few years on nic - on the fence on weather I want to start dropping %, or stockpile more.

Did you watch the video? You really don't think any flavor makers will fold? (I'm really hoping, but Wayne made a couple good points)

No. Only ones that would be on the block would be Liquid Barn. I'm surprised they haven't rebranded, but they sent an email out saying they would still be around in some fashion. I don't see any other company being threatened by PMTA

As a Brit, should I be stocking up on LB flavours?

Never tried any of them but people rave about VBIC, so I’m not clear if us non-Americans should be stocking up before they vanish forever, or if it’s a case of I won’t miss what I never tried.

Bull city was quick about changing to flavors. Very wise foresight.

But it's not the PMTA, directly. Do you think there is enough DIY business to keep all the flavor makers in business?

I think the PMTA would effect NET concentrates more than Food flavourings, just my thoughts...

I’m not very worried I have enough juice and flavorings to last me several years not to mention for me it’s more of a sensory thing I could live without the nicotine

Topic Question's Answer: Possibly

Not sure I agree with him in the general sense. Yes, there could be an abundance of fearful purchasing that leads to a short-term scarcity of some products. If the large commercial vjuice companies are fewer, then that means more inventory on the shelves for the little companies/individuals. Market equilibrium could occur in just 2-3 months. Or might take half a year or more... but that doesn't mean anyone will have any drastic difficulty in getting most mainstream flavorings.

This could be wishful thinking on my part, granted.

Is there anywhere in the UK that sells FLV in smaller quantities? For the really strong FLV flavors, I only buy 3ml and then I dilute them by 10%. If not, it's still a good idea to do the 10% dilution, otherwise it's pretty much impossible to use Rich Cinnamon in a recipe when you're mixing a 10ml test batch. I also do this with Coconut and Milk Chocolate.

Smaller than 10mls?

Yep, diyejuice in Canada sells 3ml bottles.

Quite a few you can check and see size options. They just posted the on social media in last couple weeks a reseller map that is on their site. Think they have like 10 different resellers in UK and most of them re-bottle Into their own bottles

Also you just highlighted 3 of their most potent flavors along with flavors like Alpine, smooth vanilla, basil, dough flavors, clove. Most of others don’t need to be diluted and can be used in the 1-2% range
