Advice on tobacco flavours?
submitted about 5 years ago by JASC2019

Hi there... I have a number of bases... Inawera Cuban, Virginian and Cavendish as well as Dark for pipe, Gold for pipe, and Black for pipe. My favourite premixed juices come from black note. I'm looking at making my first juice. Can anyone make any recommendations based on what I have? I also have Inawara's Vanilla Cream and Vanilla Bean Gelato. Thanks to anyone who helps out and replies 😀.

FLV Red Burley and Kentucky Blend are killer tobacco flavorings. Once I got them, it really opened up my tobacco game. Definitely worth looking into.

Dont limit yourself by just what you have in stock. Flavors are relatively cheap to explore and find whats suits you.

IMO, DK tobacco or RY-4 Double by TFA are my preferred tobacco's. Mix with a vanilla custard or cream and I personally put a hint of blueberry.

Mix proportionally to your taste. Enjoy

If you’re a black note guy, not sure which flavor, I suggest trying the flavor monks tobacco bastards original or mint. Order from chefsflavorsuk

Forgot to mention that I never tried the original but I love the mint. I just assumed the original would be good however I can’t vouch for it. Ymmv. I also reviewed some stixx mixx flavors and there’s some la tabacceria reviews. You probably want NETs either way.

Will give a +1 for Red Burley, Soho, and RY-4 Double. I'm 90% MTL and love to mix them together, or separately, with Vanilla Swirl, Butter Cream from CAP, or even Butterscoth Ripple from FW.

Mix up some flavour testers for what you already have. Check reviews on the flavour and see what others recommend percentage wise. I do 30ml testers so after tasting I can do blends to see how a mixture will build.

I Have not Tested any of these flavours yet, I do have BFP, DFP and GFP steeping and waiting to test. You should mix up testers for them they may be perfect as stand alone juices. If I was making a mix with what you have listed I would try, 2% Cuban 1.5% Virginian 1% Vanilla Cream Have fun...

I vape black note Kentucky. I’m trying desperately to recreate it or something passably close because $$$, but so far, no dice. Nothing has been “rich” and smoky enough. I have FLV Kentucky blend, Red Burley, Cured, Connecticut Shade, Sweet and Smokey, and FV Black Fire. The sweet and smoky is too sweet for me. The others are too “thin” and not rounded out and rich enough. They all taste fairly similar. The FV Black Fire is exactly what the reviews say: campfire smoky. Not quite hitting the mark. I have basically all the INW “for pipe” on the way, as well as DNB, plus some NETs and some tobacco to start attempting my own. We shall see.

Which Black Note “flavors” do you like? Maybe we can keep each other posted with our progress and limit our trial and error.
