Anyone feel any adverse effects from cap Super Sweet?
submitted about 5 years ago by YurtYurtYurtYurt

I could be going crazy, but since I started using cap Super Sweet I swear I get a lump in my throat from vaping. I wonder have any of you felt any adverse effects from vaping super sweet?
I didnt have any trouble at all with TFA Sweetener which I know does contain sucralose but to a much lower extent.

Im also a bit over analytical of my physical state at most times so I dont know if im playing tricks on myself.

Thanks friends.

Do not forget that anyone, any time in their life can become allergic to just about anything. My wife is actually allergic to PG, which happens to be in tons of stuff you would not think it would be in.

There is no real reason for it but you may have developed a sensitivity to one of the ingredients in your juice, or even the metals that your rig is made of. All I can suggest is to mix something different and see if you still get the reaction.

Thats a great point, Im vaping DIY or Die's 10 LOOP which is 0.5 Super sweet and I love the flavor, I have started making my mixes a bit more PG heavy, so I might mix some different batches with and without sweetener and higher and lower PG contents.

Im using a profile RDA, and only lately the ohms have started to jump around. Yeah, im gonna try switching everything up!

It just might have something to do with the PG. When I first started mixing I started with 65/35 and that was fine. One day I decided to try 60/40 and that one hurt my throat. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that with certain substances, there are levels that we can tolerate and levels that we can't, and they might not be that far apart.

Sounds more like dehydration. I usually get that when I forget to drink water and I like sweetener very much so. Yuuum

I have been drinking a lot of water. Since starting DIY my PG comsumption has gone up aswell since now I vape 40 60 PG. Wondering if it could be that.
Also, I realised that I have been vaping commercial liquids for years and they use upwards of 1 to 2% Super sweet so I must just be going mad.

Oh you should definitely do that! I drank around 2 litres before I switched to vaping and now I know that 2l aren't enough, especially in hot times like these 🥵

Don’t over drink either. You can deplete the sodium in your body which can cause many other problems. I have a sip or two after i have 4-5 puffs in a row.

Don't forget your shot of tequila. Loosens lumps, as well as giving insight as whether to follow edicts from authoritarians.

I'm glad someone said that. "Adam Ruins Everything" did a podcast on drinking water, and how most of the "guidelines" are bullshit, and we're actually developed by companies that sell bottles water. The boiled down version is that, for the most part, you get thirsty when you need water. It's one thing to drink some extra before exercise, or going out in the heat, but on a day-to-day basis you're just supposed to drink when you get thirsty. Your body will tell you what you need.

I didnt notice any effects in me, but it was a coil killer, I cant afford to replace my coils every 300 puffs, I have to get at least 2000 puffs out of a coil, yes my vape has a puff counter

How much are you using? I have one ADV that uses it, and I'm literally putting in 4 drops for 120mL. That's all I can stand taste-wise.

OK! thats seems like a very low percentage. Im using 0.5% which is common in a lot of recipes, but i think im going to mix at 0.25 in future. Also I will make some recipes that im using at the moment without any Super Sweet and test that out.

Yeah I mean you get some from fruit and veg too but still. Just try drinking more for a week or two, you will have to pee more for sure but it will make a difference

Idk that sounds like too much nicotine to me if no one said that already. Just a thought I didn't look at the comments

2000 puffs per coil man I just build and vape whatever the hell I want. If I want to mix heavier sweeter juice I do because a coil and cotton change cost me NOTHING damn near. I've got builds I've vaped for months on months plus next month no more anything. September 9th PMTA deadline enforcement. If you aren't building and mixing you are fucked and if they enforce the tax on nicotine a 50 dollar liter would cost multiple thousands of dollars.
