Here is the recipe if anyone is interested in trying, its very simple but so juicy and a real mouth watering summer type vape.
I am new to DIY, and this is one of my first own recipe ventures, but im loving it.
FA - Melon Canteloupe = 1%
INW- Watermelon = 0.75%
INW- So SOur So Good = 1%
CAP SL- 27 Bears = 4%
CAP - Whipped Marshmallow =2%
CAP super sweet = 0.5%
I made this at 65% VG 35% PG just because I wanted a slight more saturated flavor I think next time I mix it up I will probably try 60/40.
I have done a lot of single flavor tests with these ingredients, and with INAWERA and Flavor Arts flavors being so strong it seems to lend itself nicely to a higher PG and keeps the higher notes more present because this as a higher VG mix I feel would lose some vibrance as it is a light but very juicy flavor.
Adding a higher percentage of CAP 27 bears because it is very much a light mostly none present flavor, but it adds the ""vibe" of gummy jellies, I found that pairing it with CAP marshmallow reminded me a bit of those blue and purple sugar coated foamy kind of sweets.
I dont have much experience yet, and with sweeteners I have only used TFA's sweetener and CAP Super sweet.
Would I be wrong to say these seem very different to each other?
I tihnk CAP super sweet gives you that mouth watering feel to its sweetness, really great stuff. Im in Love.
Guys, these are some of my thought processes in terms of mixing and how i came across this simple recipe.
I would love if someone would give me some feedback, even if you dont mix this up but by my post if you notice any errors in the recipe or my thinking.
Thank you all, this sub has been huge. I feel like im begininng to really GET it now! :)
No, your not wrong. Those sweeteners are very different. Cap Super Sweet is Sucralose (at either 10 or 20%, not sure the exact number) and TFA Sweetener is Sucralose and Maltol (something like 5% of each). Maltol has an emulsifying effect, so it's definitely not a good choice for certain recipes. I usually use FW Sweetener, which is just Sucralose, but at a lower percentage than Super Sweet.
What is the INW So Sour So Good like? Did you get any sourness or any type of flavour from it when you single flavour tested it?
Overall I want to say from day 4 of steeping that I prefer the mix without TFA Key Lime, however I could see TFA Key Lime being hugely useful to add to the sourish notes at a half a percent possibly! It's useful in the mix, but to anything over a half a percent makes the whole profile turn more towards like than melon which is not wait I was aiming for!
