What's your "in use" bottle?
submitted about 5 years ago by Blurgas

By "In use" I mean the bottle you use to refill your vape.
Working on vapeocalypse prep when I realized I'd almost forgotten about the bottles I'll be filling with the reserves in order to fill my tanks.

First things that came to mind were the Innokin Ucan and Uwell Juice Bank, but they're not that great a capacity, hard to find, and rather pricey.

Also came across these silicone+metal bottles on Fasttech(skus 9671069 and 9725198) that look interesting.

I'm guessing everyone just uses Unicorn/Chubby Gorilla LDPE bottles cuz they're cheap af

I'll reuse anything. I've got PET bottles which I've refilled half a dozen times.

I have 500ml bottles with twist cap nozzles that came with juice in them that I refill.

I use 60ml gorilla bottles for testing out recipes, that also came filled but I reuse.

Amber glass bottles are best. If you find an eyedropper too slow and irritating, use a transfer pipette syringe.

About the only issues I've ever had with droppers is trying to get the last few bits out of the bottle and whether or not I can get the dropper to fit in the fill port of my tank

Skip the dropper and use a blunt-needle syringe or an all-plastic transfer pipette (they have small tips and long reach).

I've got a few already actually, and I was going to say finding blunt needles longer than 1.5inch Amazon is a pain in the arse, but then a quick search returns a 10pack of 4inch ones(Luer lock, 14 to 25 gauge options, $10).

Actually kind of considered getting some 10, 15, or 30mL syringes just for keeping at my desk for refilling tanks.
Thought process was it'd greatly reduce oxidation, but then realized that isn't going to be a problem if they'll get used up within a month

I still need to buy and try using some pipettes. I've been using blunt tip needle syringes. For bottles I have some 15ml unicorns, 30ml chubby, 30ml unicorns, 60ml unicorns. I also have some 10ml and 15ml bottles that I bought off Amazon last year that I use when testing a ejuice recipe and for carrying some DIY CBD e-juice.

I recently bought some glass bottles with dropper since my chubby gorillas were leaking like crazy after a few re-uses. The dropper is awful and so slow. I feel ridiculous filling my tank in public. How do you handle the pipette and/or syringe in public when refilling? Seems a little awkward.

Refilling in public by any method seems awkward to me. I vape MTL and do not need to refill for 2-3 days, so I always check daily and refill at home.

I think the best option would be to carry an extra pre-filled pod or tank so refilling in public isn't needed. Otherwise, I'd probably choose a blunt-needle syringe with a short needle (shorter than most pipettes) and carry the syringe and the extra e-liquid in a small carrying case to avoid poking or bending the needle. To minimize drips, pull the plunger back and depress it again to clear liquid from the needle.

I use glass. Have to get a new dropper every few years and I have broke 2 in 8 years.

I'm almost always testing a mix, so 15ml boston round LDPE bottles most of the time.

I bought glass bottles with pipettes. Only 50ml but that's fine for me.

Not like pipettes are expensive either. Found a 300 count of 3mL for $9

If I'm tweaking recipes, it's a 30mL LDPE bottle, but once I find a mix I love, it's 120mL LDPE bottles.

They may hold on to strong flavors (Emma Watson is straight up caustic, but delicious - interesting sentence...), but I hate how long it takes to fill up with dropper bottles, plus they suck to clean, and I HATE those hard plastic gorilla bottles.

I've only recently started using ~4mL capacity tanks and it can be annoying with just the regular plastic bottles my juice is in.
A dropper with a 2mL tank is one thing

Chubby gorilla PET for almost everything, various sizes 30-120ml. Also 10\20ml ldpe for sft's, samples, tests, tweaks to recipes and if what I'm vaping is in a 120 I'll fill one & throw in my pocket if going out for a while.

Probably make the jump to glass sometime before the end of the year.

I refill my squonk (it holds 10ml) with a 60 ml chubby gorilla bottle.

My RTA gets refilled with a 30ml chubby gorilla since it’s my test device. If I make a recipe more than once after I have finished tweaking it I move it up in size to the 60ml.

I have a handful of glass 60mLs kicking around that I reuse a bunch, other than that I have some ldpe and pet bottles that I've picked up with various flavor orders.

50ml soft bottles for the favorite shake and vape recipes, 30ml flat bottles for recipes that need steeping longer than 5days and 10ml hard bottles that i get my nic shots in for testing recipes.

I've got so many recipes going at once, it's 10 ml bottles everywhere. But solid mixes are in 30 ml for carry. And reused 100 ml main brand bottles for tanked mods vs drippers.

I like bottles with a cap you can twist off like those: https://electronicsmoke.de/Leerflaschen-Set-oval-mit-Schraubspitze-und-Steckdeckel

I buy the red LDPE Gorilla Bottles off Amazon, I only use the 60ML bottles for my go to recipes, I use 30ML LDPE from Bull City for my testers.

I mix my adv for my wife and I 32oz at a time in glass Mason jars with plastic caps (metal ones will get gross after awhile) and then I have a 120ml twist top bottle I fil as needed to fill my topside dual. If I was dripping directly I would use either my ez dripper or a smaller bottle

I use random Boston bottles all different colors and sizes. Glass is easy to get the scent out of, thankfully. Medicine Flower bottles are a nice reclaim.

CG LDPE bottlers here, easy enough to get a hold of, durable, wash well enough when i want to switch flavors. I usually keep a few colors around to identify what i've been mixing.

I reuse a lot of bottles that either commercial juice came in, or bottles that flavor concentrates came in. My "in use" bottles are (1) a Chubby Gorilla 60 ml PET, and (2) a 60 ml HDPE with a Yorker tip.

I find HDPE leaches flavors, but I mix the same recipe between 2 500 ml HDPE bottles (use, wash and reuse) and the same 60 ml for refills. I find the PET bottles crack in time from so much squeezing (but that's after reusing 10-12 times).
