What does it mean if my nicotine juice has gone dark?
submitted about 5 years ago by RTAlyfe

I bought a bottle of 250mg freebase nicotine juice from LNW a few months ago, kept it in a cool, dark place. I just opened the bag up yesterday and to my surprise the juice is pretty dark. Does that mean it's gone bad? Would there be any consequences to using dark nicotine juice like this?

Oxidation. Could taste off, and be a little weaker.

Mix up a small unflavored tester and see how it goes

It doesn't taste off or feel weaker from what I can tell with this first bottle I mixed with it. This is what it looks like: https://imgur.com/a/5kv6p9s

I had some 250mg that turned pink after a while. Still worked fine and didn't seem to tint my clear juices.

Doesn't appear to have much air space in there either. I keep mine in the freezer or fridge depending on stock

Would it be acceptable to ask for a replacement bottle from the vendor? Or is it really not that big of a deal to worry about?

That looks fine. Lnw nic is on the slightly darker side to begin with.

So i'll be okay if I go ahead and start mixing with the stuff?

It's starting to oxidise - it will get worse over time, use it up quick!

For future reference, store it in the fridge and try not to open it too much/or leave the cap off/shake it up

This happens a lot actually as they mix together over time they can create new flavours as well.
