So my order is on its way, unfortunately granted the circumstances (Covid 19 pandemic), the South African government has banned the sale of cigarettes and nicotine for the past 4 going to 5 months, I still can't purchase nicotine, however I would like to start mixing and let my mixes steep so long but I'm not sure how that will affect the final product. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Not at all. Nicotine oxidizes as juice steeps, so I always add my nicotine post-production. Nicotine does not need to homogenize with the juice.
this is how you get a nice strong throat hit.
Hi. In my opinion, it kind of depends on the flavors used in your recipes and your storage possibilities. Some flavors are prone to fading. If your having to wait several months until you can purchase nicotine, your mix may not be very flavorful. Keep your mixes stored in a cool dark place (cool may be an issue). Why not vape without nicotine while your waiting to acquire it? You might even find that you won’t need nicotine anymore. Good luck and stay safe!
Thanks I'll try it out while we patiently wait for the ban to be challenged in court, hopefully that will at least help me cut down as I've unfortunately regressed and bought illicit cigarettes. Fingers crossed that we'll have our right to choose to smoke or not back in a month.
I don't have any experience with doing it this way .. but ..
You would be essentially diluting your already steeped juice, by adding nicotine after the fact.
Depending on the strength of your nicotine solution it will be changing the flavor of your already steeped liquid, but not by too much.
What flavors are you using? Not all flavors require a steep.
Mostly fruits, a few baked flavours and one tobacco flavour. I didn't think of the diluting effect, but I'll bear that in mind. Thank you so much.
Just make your recipe as if nicotine is being added. Just omit that step until it comes in. Then you can add your nic and recipe will be perfect.
If for some crazy bs reason nic never comes, just replace that skipped portion of recipe with either pg or vg.
