botboy's apple pie goes fabulous with coffee.
I rotate that with banana bread, blueberry cinnamon crumble, bear claw, waffles, etc... Or Rocketpuppy's RY4 or an Apple 'bacco
While I rarely even browse here anymore, I was going to suggest my Vicious Vanilla as it was my favorite with a cup of joe as well.
How ya been bud?!
Hey, BB! Didn't expect to see you pop up :)
I'm hanging in there - still mixing and stockpiling, trying to do the paperwork to close my dad's estate (ugh) and dodgin' the rona
How 'bout you? How's dad life treating you?
Personally, dessert vapes are my favorite kind of vape.
Now I quit coffee some time ago (drank too much of it and stomach got upset) but just reading the word, I can still feel the delicious taste haha.
I'd look into notes like: Creams, Graham's Crust, Vanilla Custards, Caramel, RY4 (if you like those), Vanilla Swirl, Hazelnut.
I don't have any specific recipes as I like to experiment on own ones, but those notes I would have looked up! Delicious with coffee.

If you quit and you’re happy with that, good for you, stop reading now! However some types of coffee tend to be easier on some folks. I find that naturally processed ethiopian and Rwandan (or any african) coffees tend to be less acidic, and roasting styles are MUCH lighter with these bean types. You could be reacting in part to oils produced during over-roasting. Also your brewing style will have a lot to do with its impact on the gut. Pourover coffee that you hand grind yourself (in a ceramic burr) will not only leave less particulate matter in your cup, but it’ll also brew something with somewhat lower acidity. If you got some really excellent artisanal beans and just brewed little 4oz cups I wonder if you’d be satisfied and not suffering and of the gut pains. If you were having any type of preground coffees—this is a big deal!—especially from large commercial outfits, you may have been drinking highly acidic and oxidized beans. Starbucks is a huge offender followed by Folgers and Yuban etc etc etc.
Additional note: Central American coffees tend to be famous for their brightness and acidity so until you know, try to categorically rule them out. An exception would be Pacamaras (it’s a varietal) from Central America that are honey process or natural process are big fruity and funky bouquets (think blueberries, stone fruits, melons, and bourbon, etc).
I know I sound like I know a lot about coffee but I’m actually probably just a mid-level coffee fan so if anyone has corrections or anything to add please don’t hesitate!

Sounds good. I don’t like flavored coffee though, so I wonder if hazelnut would give me that vibe. I love hazelnut treats (like Ritter sport). Maybe it would be a great pairing. I know nothing about the RY4 family.. that’s somewhere I need to venture soon. Graham gets me interested. What’s your go-go/ADV?
I appreciate the coffee input! The reason why I stopped, which was a couple of months ago now, was to try to eliminate the bad habit of overdrinking it together with not eating properly. Couple of cups on an empty stomach, get lunch, drink a ton of more coffee and get home from work feeling like I was about to throw up. No balance at all, over-consuming. This, and some other negative lifestyle choices at the time. So I decided "let's try if I can just stay away from it a while". And it has been rough! I absolutely LOVE coffee. I guess now I'm mostly worried that if I start drinking it again, I'll fall back into the same bad habits. But your input and insight I'll gladly take, and something I definitely will take into consideration. The work coffee was all preground. So if I were to take it up again, it would be at home as a "treat" and pourover and having control of type of beans, sounds pretty good. Thanks a lot!
Regarding the vape flavours. Oh yeah I don't like flavoured coffee either! But I do really enjoy the way coffee lingers in the mouth, and then when you vape some of those flavours, it kinda does a little dance in your mouth (haha). So it's not like drinking flavoured coffee, more like an additional touch that goes well with the aftertaste.
I'm really a custard guy. I just love them. So my ADVs are almost exclusively custards.
"Vanilla pudding, Caramel Cream, Hazelnut, White Chocolate and notes of Lemon and Brown Sugar." is the description of my previous premade ADV. Most recent premade one was with "Custard, Hazlenut and Caramel"
When I'm sick/bored of them, I'll pivot to something like "Strawberry, Vanilla, Cake and Cream"
But, saying that, since I got into DIY I started exploring fruits more and started to enjoy them. Currently exploring to make other cream/cake/custard profiles with top notes other than strawberry! :)
Yeah that ADV sounds insane. Caramel and hazelnut and custard. Wow. Going to have to give this a shot!
Also same story with me and coffee. I used to just hoover a few pots a day. I didn’t care what it was or where it came from. I even discovered this instant coffee from guatemala called Incasa. It was an evaporated powder and I discovered I could make these ultra strong iced coffees and I LOVED them so much my teeth turned brown in 6mo. I bleached them and it fixed the problem but wow. Impulse control problems? It me!
So the solution I found was drinking coffee like wine. I’m also not rich so I can’t afford to drink tons of it. At $15-25 a bag I’m at my limit for a daily beverage. I’ve always lived good coffee but before I would have good stuff before the onslaught of cheap full pots all day. I just don’t have that kind of stuff laying around my house. I just take a nice sip and try to analyze it too to bottom.. really savor it. I’ve reprogrammed myself by feeling like coffee is a privilege. Even when I was on the pots I didn’t think I had anxiety but looking back I definitely did. Good to nix that too 😅
Good luck in your adventure. Thanks for your suggestions!
PS I’m not downvoting you. Lol. This sub sometimes..
What, no mention of Jamaican Blue Mountain?? :)
Personally i like a cup kopi luwak nothing smoother than coffee an animal shit out
on a serious note this guy knows his shit always buy whole bean coffee and grind them yourself
dark roasts generally have less acidity then medium or light
>dark roasts generally have less acidity then medium or light
Always thought it was the opposite but I looked it up and a lot of info supports you.
However dark roasts produce more oils which oxidize and can be inflammatory, leading to the stomach pain phenomenon. I personally avoid this just because of taste, but good correction here.
Flavourart "wow" is a good old fashioned donut
But i highly recommend flavorah blueberry muffin
it's amaZing all by itself at 3%
Just to show how much taste is subjective, to me those are two of the worst flavors I've ever tried. Blueberry Muffin is so floral it tastes like blueberry perfume and Wow is not much different than Zeppola, with just an overwhelming spice note.
yup taste is definitely subject especially in vaping
I cannot taste any strawberry flavorings, even INW shisha strawberry it just tastes like wax to me but for some reason i taste them fine if put them in a drink like sprite
for some people it's more a problem than others so if your a sensitive type it's good practice to buy 3ml samples if you can
if you can taste them as intented wow and blueberry muffin are great flavours
I can't taste alot of the strawberry flavors but Ive tried like 30 of them so I've been able to find a few that I can actually taste. I really wanted to vape strawberries and cream so I went on a quest to see if I could find some that I could taste. I might be able to recommend a few to try if you're interested.
I think it depends on your coffee. I drink my coffee black, no sugar, so I enjoy a slightly sweeter vape with my coffee than I'd normally go with. While sweet, I agree that fruits with coffee tend not to go very well. My favorite recipe to pair with coffee is my peppermint patty clone. I just set my latest version to public:
|Ingredient|%| |:-|:-| |Cotton Candy (10% EM/Ethyl Maltol) (TPA)|1.00| |Creme de Menthe (TPA)|1.00| |Double Chocolate (Clear) (TPA)|7.00| |Malted Milk (TPA)|0.25| |Marshmallow (FA)|2.00| |Peppermint (CAP)|3.00| |Vanilla Bean Gelato (TPA)|1.50| |WS-23 (Bull City)|0.50|
Flavor total: 16.25%
I swear it does not taste at all like menthol! This is an amazing recipe. I think it's my second best to date after 5 years of mixing. Few people seem willing to try it because they expect it to taste like a menthol smoke! I hate menthol too. This isn't menthol!
Sounds fantastic. I’m going to give it a try. I also strongly dislike sweetened coffee but I don’t think the sweet vape will cause that effect. After all I will do coffe and a donut with pleasure
I like this with my morning coffee. For the tres leches extract listed I actually use that and/or creme caramel. I used to vape Duchess reserve which is a butterscotch flavoured juice but my B&M discontinued it. So I tinkered for bit until I got this the way I like it. It goes well with morning coffee, or a lot better than the lemon juice I vape at night.
Recipe looks delicious. Thanks for the suggestion.
I love lemony vapes too. They just don’t sit with coffee. There’s one exception I have, and that’s my pina colada, which has tons of coconut and pineapple (and shisha lemon). It’s still not great with coffee but it’s not terrible.
I still haven't gotten my lemon the way I like it. I tolerate it but I don't love it. I tried for a long time to duplicate a pink lemonade juice I really liked, but never pulled it off. So I suffer through my substandard alternative in the evenings instead. Pina colada though, that might be worth a try, do you know the recipe offhand?
Pomelo helped me get closer to juicy lemonades. I think many lemonades have all sorts of other citrus, including grapefruit. But I don’t know, I mostly add my citruses on top of other fruits.
My GF brilliantly pointed out that blue raz is distinctly cotton candy containing. I think she ended up holding shisha lemon and cotton candy to her nose and saying it was almost perfect. Maybe that would be a lead for you to try in the base-to-mid note?
Dinner Lady Lemon Tart: http://tjek.nu/r/6MN1
Baklava: http://tjek.nu/r/zTcc
Ry4 Gold: http://tjek.nu/r/rYqC
BAKLAVA???? My head just SNAPPED. Holy moly. Thanks friend
You're welcome.
That recipe is a sweeter honey version.
Remove WF Croissant (SC) from it, if you want the clove and nuts to be more prominent.
That’s ok with me. I love strong honey. I know regionally there are many disputes over what baklava is and isn’t but I haven’t found one I dislike. I’ll go with the croissant at first too. I have pistachio in my collection also. Been dying to find a place for it.
I don't drink coffee, but my first ADV was Bronuts that might go good with it
This is my ry4 vanilla custard tart - it's got a decent bakery layer with caramel, vanilla custard and a hint of desserty tobacco at the end.
The only desert/sweet flavors I've ever liked enough to vape for more than a few minutes are Deadly Sin from GoodLife, and some RY4 based juices. RY4 in particular can be amazing with coffee. I haven't actually ever mixed either of those on my own, but I imagine there are some good recipes out there.
I pretty much exclusively vape fruity flavors and I usually really like them with coffee. I tend to use berry flavors less frequently in my juice. Most of the time you'll find some combination of apple, peach, pear, apricot, or kiwi in my tank. I might throw in some blueberry or strawberry if I'm feeling like changing it up. I also just got ahold of some mango which I haven't really used before. Peach & apricot with just a light touch of apple (green is best IMO, but anything works) is probably my favorite juice to make.
As for the coffee I drink. I've been stuck on Ethiopian light roasts for a while now, which tend to already have fruity notes to them. In particular, I usually order happy mug's Yirgacheffe, which can give a pretty solid blueberry note, if they have it in stock when I'm getting low. My juice combos probably wouldn't go quite so well with many of the darker roasts.
Same thing here, love vaping citrus fruit mixes, doesn't go well at all with the morning coffee..
I have a very simple recipe that I always have mixed up and goes really well with coffee.

If you don't have DFS Holy Vanilla (not in production anymore) you can use FA Custard Premium at the same %. Haven't tried TFA Vanilla Custard 2 but I think it could work as a possible sub too.
My recipes are good for all day vape but also great for early mornings with some coffee. Most are shake and vape. https://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/3134984/Funnel%20Cake%20berry%20Frosting%20Nic%20Salts
Have you tried any of the Barista Brew Co flavours? I’m addicted to their Salted Caramel Macchiato. The Salts in this version is very different to the freebase or no Nic one. It’s much stronger and a real coil burner but it’s also incredibly delicious. It’s not really a coffee flavour, more a sweet desert type. I’ve tried a few coffee ones and they were yuck, really bitter, this isn’t.
This may sound weird, but Root Beer Float.
I hadn't ever tried to pair a liquid with whatever I was eating or drinking, I just vape whatever until I change it to something else.
Hear me out- had you ever tried Coke Blak? I have mixed Coke with coffee here and there, so I was thinking and tried root beer with coffee. It was really good, the spice of the root beer went quite well with the coffee. I'm sure the "float" part wouldn't clash either, especially if you already take cream with your coffee.
I'm sure there are allot of good recommendations here, figured I'd pipe up with something a little different.
Ambrosia by elysium labs is the best ever
But that's not a recipe
