New Wonder Flavors Review
submitted about 5 years ago by wolfwheeler

I bought 8 of the new concentrates. These seemed like the most controversial and promising to me.

All were tested at 3% on a Kali V2/.10 Aliens/Kennedy Vindicator. [3mg 70/30]

I will post a follow up after a week steep if anything changes.

Bread(butter toast)

This has a “burnt” flavor to it. Bready for sure, but no butter. The toast is almost like one of those Mexican Conchas was cooked a little too long. There might be a little egg in it, but it’s hard to pick up. Like a brush of egg wash before being put in the toaster. I’m not mad at it.

Corn Powder

Creamed corn. Not dry, more like the juice from the can. Slightly acidic. Not much else going on.

Southern Sweet Tea

Too weak at this percentage. It’s like Lipton if they made a “natural” bag. Some real tea leaf flavor. A little sweetness. I might have to try this at 5%.

Pineapple (baked)

This is the pineapple version of their Strawberry(baked). It’s syrupy and the pineapple itself is a little weak. Full mouthfeel in a gelatinous way. This would be perfect for a pineapple upside down cake, but would need help from another pineapple for some brightness.

Portuguese Egg Tart

This needs a longer steep. A little bakery, a little sweet egg yolk, I’m getting a little citrus; mandarin or tangerine.

Philadelphia Butter Cake

Bright. Fluffy, buttery, yellow cake not white. Sweet enough on its own. No burnt edges. This is a middle piece.

Aged Bourbon Cream

Oh wow. Not as boozy as it was on the knuckle. Dark cream, nutty, and definitely bourbon on the back of the tongue. There might be a little black walnut in there. This could be vaped solo.

Egg Yolk

I have no idea. If you’ve ever had Tamago or a salt cured egg yolk, it’s like those two mixed together. It’s definitely egg yolk and sugar. It’s cloying as shit, but it’s not thick. Maybe that’s because I’ve never tried anything like this. One thing that I’m sure of is that this can be used to replace Corn Powder in a better way.

What percentage flavoring were you using and at what PG/VG ratio? And at what wattage?

Several of these sound interesting. Thanks.

3%, 70/30, and around 130? I tested on a mech so somewhere between 136-129.

Thank you. (You mean 70% VG, right?)

Now I'm curious as to how these taste at lower wattages. They do sound interesting.

Yes, 70vg. You’ll have to let me know! I only have mechs and I usually stick around .08-.11.

Thanks for the breakdown <3... for the Philly Butter cake do you pick up any vanilla or eggyness?

Maybe a little molasses.. I’m hoping a week steep will give me a little more information about it. Not eggy, but buttery as shit.

I've always wanted to vape a pineapple upside down cake, so that Pineapple (Baked) sounds like it might be good. But the way you compare it to Strawberry (Baked) worries me. I think whatever they use to make it taste baked, comes across to me as a chocolate note. I also get that same chocolate note from their Angel Cake.

It don’t get any chocolate from the strawberry baked. It’s like a warm syrupy pineapple instead of cooked like you’d think.

I've never heard anyone else say that they taste chocolate in strawberry baked, but for some reason I sure do.
