Anyone else pretty much vape one flavor?
submitted over 5 years ago by MutedCurrent

Hi, im new to the subreddit but i've been kinda curious about this recently. I got a litre of flavouring of some lemonade flavour i like around a year ago for pretty cheap and i have to admit that i've pretty much been using that consistently for mixing since, occasionally adding a bit of menthol or strawberry to the mix but i avoid sweetener. Before this i always used premium juice but it was too sweet for me and i kept getting bored with flavours. I occasionally still buy juice to explore flavors but never enjoy them much.

Surprisingly, i can't say i've gotten bored , it's nice and sour and hits hard enough. Honestly i'm a bit of a bread and butter kind of person though. I'm definitely excited about exploring more diy in the future but i have to say that i'm fairly satisfied.

I know it sounds pretty weird but i'm wondering if anyone else feels the same.

I have a rotation that changes every few months. I usually vape the one flavor non stop and then after 10-15 bottles of 120 ml ill change to the next. Lately I have been vaping Mystery by Air Factory though because I havent wanted to make juice and I never seem to get sick of it. If anyone manages to clone it you gotta let me know!

Words cant describe how much I appreciate that. I have lost track of the places to look these days. Thank you so much. I'll buy the supplies soon and report back how close it is. If its even %80 I'll be so happy.

The only single one I use is Purilium Sunset it was on sale at river so I got a 2 oz for a couple bucks its a tropical fruit mix Shake it and it good to go used it at 7% It doesn't even need sweetener besides that usually just when I have to do SFTs

Yup, vanilla mint

I've been looking for a good recipe for vanilla mint. Which do you prefer?

Well, I am not sure what is “good” for you. Taste is subjective really. I have been vaping for a long time my own recipe: TFA peppermint 1% TFA vanilla swirl 1.25% CAP sweet cream 1% WS-23 0.5%

Sometimes adding super sweet 0.5% Now just getting vanilla and sweet cream up and adding marshmallow so it’s like same thing over and over. Sometimes mixing with fruits. Nice, daily vape for me but as I said taste is subjective. Give it a try by all means, change it, mix it see how it goes. Happy vaping

I just use one. Tried lots, found one I really like that doesn't clash with certain things (like if used after food or drink) and stuck with it.

Which one??

It's called pina colada - but it's just a nice fruity balanced vape, smooth.

I rotate every tank to keep my palette alive. Continuing one thing for too long mutes the taste too much (like raspberry after some melon is soooo different compared to raspberry after something else sour)

Just a thought, but maybe you're on one end of the scale as far as sensitivity to flavours? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supertaster

This could have different effects, for example I have a great sense of taste (from what I can tell, comparative to my peers), and more complex or rich flavours often overwhelm me. Whereas my friend, another self-diagnosed "supertaster" prefer diving into that complexity/richness

I got tired of shit recipes I've copied or made my self. So I go with 2-3% cactus with any other flavor at 1%. Cact is best, no rugrats.

Lol you tried Grack? Interesting for a Cactus × Grape mix... seen a couple other people that love Cactus 2-4% x Coolant also. I've got quite a few recipes where I use 0.5-1% Cactus but personally never tried it higher other than Grack.

I kinda vape one flavour most the time for a week or two then change flavour when I do my next mix. Any flavour I really enjoy I make a bigger bottle of but definitely end up going back to similar things all the time. I'm a SB & Cream fiend, started on Mothers Milk clone then ended up trying Mother of Dragons Milk, God Milk and Mother of God Milk plus a few other random SB & Creams. Some days I enjoy the Cream more than other days, and some days I just vape a Grape Bubblegum that I made a few weeks ago. Also vape a lot of Lemonade when I'm on my Pod devices, so thinking of making a few Lemonades for Sub-ohm.

I've pretty much stopped mixing recipes and switched to vaping some really good standalone flavours. It's quick, saves on money and I still get the same satisfaction.

My standard rotation right now is; TPA banana nut bread, FLV cured tobacco, CAP lemon meringue pie

I think I’m picky with juice, so I try to stick to a few that I know I like

Hi drip blood orange & Sucker Punch’d midnight berry

I was changing around a bunch until I found this cheesecake flavor- I like the desserty ones but as you said all the pre-mixed flavors I tried were too sweet. I mix cinnamon, banana or pie crust flavors with the cheesecake when I want to go crazy, but yeah I pretty much have no interest in any other flavors. Its the perfect amount of tart and creamy, nothing else comes close

by BrettyJover 5 years ago

I'm the same way. I have been thinking about this lately and decided a couple weeks ago to add another flavor to the rotation but I still primarily use my main mix!

I just started my "DIY journey" but knowing how I get, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if after spending time and money playing with dozens of different recipes and flavor combinations, I finally just settle on one thing and never really budge again. However, knowing me, it isn't likely to be a 1 and done kind of thing. I'll probably land on a base combination of 2 or 3 flavors, and maybe spike them from time to time with one additional flavoring to mix things up.

You kinda have to get some you just won't like that other people rave about. All about learning. Setting supplies aside, you can generally try 5 10ml flavors on average for $10. Less or the same price than a bottle of juice, so don't feel too bad.

Also you never know. I started thinking I'd vape nothing but cereal and lemon tart. I didn't even try making my own cereal recipe for over 9 months. Then it was on to the next. I think it depends on if you're going to like creating your own or not. Just don't get discouraged, you're in the right place 🙂

Yep, I do. I make my own, and I finally got my recipe right where I want it and have been vaping the same recipe for years.

What is the recipe

by emostorm7over 5 years ago

It's my version of milkman, if you've ever had that

Funny I find Milkman doesn’t taste like anything at all

by emostorm7over 5 years ago

Sweat strawberry NY Cheesecake and vanilla bean ice cream and sweet cream are the main flavors

by Penguin__over 5 years ago

Would you mind sharing the recipe? I have all those main flavours and struggle to get something usable each time. I've copied all the milk fogs, dragons milk etc.

It's quite sweet

Been vaping my own recipe for almost three years but the primary flavor was made by Real Flavors and I didnt stock up like I should have. Literally have my last 120. Oh well.

most of the time i’m just vaping dragonfruit+peppermint+ws23. maybe throw in some marshmallow or honeysuckle if i want it more sweet/rich and sweet/juicy.

i focus a little more on sensory experience than flavor tbh, most of the flavors i pick have little to do with taste and more to do with mouth feel. so you might be able to guess dragonfruit and ws23 are among my favorites, lol.

i would try cactus, but my SO can’t stand to vape it and hates the smell ever since i bought a juice of it like 2 years ago, lol. dragonfruit totally does the job, however.

but yeah it feels like my taste may be a little off base for the subreddit, but if anyone cares i can post an example recipe, i think i have the mix i used last week saved.

I can't do the same flavor back to back but I have 3 or 4 I rotate through

Before I got into DIY I vaped one commercial juice consistently for at least 8 months (Charlie Noble RY4 Pistachio). I couldn't really taste it most of the time but it didn't revolt me like most commercial juices did. Since DIY I usually have about 6 things I reliably like and a dozen more that I enjoy. There's currently 20 different made juices on my desk. I think the low cost of DIY means I can lean into novelty. If it was a 20$ gamble to try something new it wouldn't happen.

I get „flavor bored“ quite easily. That is why I have 4-5 different profiles in my monthly rotation. I also don’t vape single flavors, 99% of them I find incomplete and unsatisfying. Just as I love cooking and trying out new recipes, I love trying new ejuice recipes.

I mostly just vape the bombies seven seas clone. Sometimes I switch to a guava Strawberry to reset my pallete when the seven seas tastes muted.

I'm still in the beginning stages of mixing and trying to find that ADV. I have had trouble finding it in the fruits I've been using, I have a few coffee recipes I want to try here soon and see how those go.

I’m like this too. New to DIY, just got a huge shipment from river. Always something off about store juices that I didn’t like but didn’t realize it was the 20%+ flavoring that made me sick of em.

Yeah, I just got completely burned out on mixing and trying new stuff. I have two recipes I make large bottles of once a month and can't be arsed to experiment anymore.

I vape on primarily 3 of my favorite flavors from Ruthless. Once in a great while I try something different, but end up disappointed. I'd love to get into DIY, but a source of nicotine seems to be out of my reach.

Strawberry cheesecake. I finally got the recipe right and now I order exactly what I need to make 2000ml. Like you, I will buy something different to try, but I keep coming back.

I dont DIY liquids but I've been vaping pretty much the same flavour for 2 months now even though I've purchased 15 different flavours to try within the last two weeks. I get it friend 🤩🙌

Im either vaping mango, blueberry, or pink lemonade DIY mix. Back when I only bought premade juice, I'd choose similar flavors. But the juice I make has less ingredients, tastes better, and doesn't gunk my coils.

I just want a pleasant vape that doesn't hurt my wallet or body. Keeping things simple makes a big difference.

A while ago, when mt baker was selling lots of different flavor shots Id buy thug juice concentrate in bulk. Before they did that I’d just buy a few of the largest size they sold (it was only either 250/300 ml, about a restaurant ketchup bottle).

I loved it, I still do, but it was my primary vape for maybe 3/4 years. I’d do other flavors from time to time but only for a day or so.

A few years ago their QC got worse and I stopped.

It was like a slightly menthol fruit punch, maybe a melon flavor.

I tried the jungle juice concentrate but it’s missing something. It wasn’t bad, but something about how they made Thug Juice just sang to my taste buds.

Hawk sauce is straight too, but TJ was where it was at.

When I got into pods I did the same with killer kustard but it’s too rich to vape all the time and too hard to constantly source. There were a couple times I bought the whole stock at a GGV of that flavor (never more than 5 bottles).

Pretty much. For me it's either unflavored, or a strawberry peach blend I make.

I only smoke 8% pure menthol 50/50 with 20mg nic salt since like years MTL
