Notes

A sweet and fresh fruit flavor with a cooling finish. Perfect for summer days, shake & vape certified.

I was getting tired of the bakeries and candies I was predominately vaping.. The weather is getting hotter and my palate is changing. I needed something new and delicious. So I got to work! This recipe honestly didn't take me too long to get right, only about 4 variations were made before this in a 5 week time period. Originally I started off trying to use TFA's Dragon Fruit but quickly switched to INW's because it has a much more authentic flavor, without the emulsifying effect that TFA's has. This one has quickly become one of my favorite recipes to date.

Sweetener:

I add 2 drops of capella's super sweet for every 10ml of juice, but this can be left out or boosted according to your preference. IMO it makes the juice much better and helps the flavors pop since we are using very low percentages.

Flavor Notes:INW Dragonfruit is the star of the show in this mix, bringing forth an excellent fruity punch with slight cream notes on the exhale. Prominent notes in this that i perceive seem to be pineapple, kiwi, and a touch of banana. This gives the flavor a tropical vibe. This flavor also introduces a lot of texture to the recipe, like I said, it has a very creamy feeling on the exhale.

INW Cactus adds juciness to the mix and helps to support the dragon fruit. Its fleshy and sweet but without being too sugary, a natural sweetness. This also gives a subtle cooling effect which helps to support the koolada in this mix.

TFA Koolada adds the cooling effect and helps to brighten everything up and bring freshness to the mix. Without koolada this vape is still delicious but will end up feeling very flat.

Have you tried using WS-23 in place of koolada? I have never tried a koolada recipe that didn't taste better with WS-23 in its place.

Ws-23 > koolada

I've never used WS-23 and not a big fan of Koolada. How much would you usually substitute? 1:1?

Generally about that, but it depends on your dilution and tolerance. Start low with coolants and add a drop or two between tests until you get the desired level of cooling. Remember, you can always add more later, but it's much harder to go the other way.

Personally I can't really handle ws-23 over 0.5%. Most of the mixes I use it in I use 0.25-0.5%

Im sure you could use ws-23 as a substitute. Koolada does have a slight flavor though

It does, but not a flavor that I personally enjoy at all.

I made a similar thing this week but kept the Dragon Fruit at 1.5% (and no cooling or sweetener). I get plenty of DF with 1.5 already so I'm a bit scared to take it to 3.5.

Sorry I’m new here. What do you mean by “flat”?

Welcome to DIY!

What I mean by flat is that without the Koolada it tastes pretty one dimensional, no real depth.

Umm...3.5% INW Dragonfruit is not "a very low percentage". Conventional wisdom is that this particular flavor gets oversaturated if taken beyond 1.5%, and I would tend to agree.

I've been experimenting along similar lines, and this is what I came up with:

Guava Pitaya test

Ingredient|% :---|---: Dragon Fruit (Pitaya) (INAWERA)|1.25 Guava (INAWERA)|1.00 Key Lime (TPA)|3.00 Koolada 10% (TPA)|0.15

Flavor total: 5.41%

Remember to rate it at e-liquid-recipes.com!

Yea i know conventionally its used lower. In my opinion it works in this recipe at 3.5% Personally i dont get much out of it lower than 3%...lets remember taste is subjective
