Standalone TFA flavors?
submitted over 5 years ago by eggcream

I'm going to make some nic salt juice for pods from TFA flavors (TFA only since I live near their warehouse). Wondering if anyone has found specific TFA flavors that do really well on their own. (I'm not interested in blending up recipes). I like menthol, fruits, and am open to sugar cookie/sweet stuff that wont require more than one flavor and sweetener.

Thanks, and stay healthy!

TFA Caramel Candy @ 8% tastes like one of those generic Brach's type of caramel candies.

TFA Vanilla Swirl @ 5% tastes like McDonald's soft serve vanilla.

Combine the two and you've reached Mediocre Heaven.

Add FW caramel cinnamon roll to reach School Cafeteria grade "meh" Nirvana. It's quite tasty.

With the massive caveat that these recommendations will all lend themselves to being boring as snot:

You might get on with TFA grape juice solo. It's kind of like a flat grape soda, so if you like fakey "purple" flavor it might be alright on its own.

TFA dragonfruit solo reads, to me, more like bazooka joe bubble gum than anything else, so it could conceivably be cranked up.a bit into a generic gum type flavor.

Bavarian cream on its own is probably a bit boring but should be a fair, sweetish, rich bodied cream even if there's nothing else going on.

Lychee is, on its own, too floral but with a bit of sweetener/maltol to tamp that down it could conceivably be acceptable.

Sweet tea, albeit at a very high percentage might work alone. Nothing to write home about without help but it does hit both "sweet" and "tea" well enough.

Not necessarily solo flavors but TFA only. You won't get far with single flavors. IMO if you can mix a solo flavor you can mix a 4 flavor recipe just as easily. Don't screw yourself this way

There are no stand alone flavors from TFA in my opinion. I have single flavor tested quite a bit of them and they need supporting flavors. Best single flavor ones I found were Banana Nut Bread, Ry4 Double, and Vanilla Bean Icecream. You could also try using Grape Juice, Blueberry Extra, Strawberry, Strawberry Ripe, or Dragonfruit. They are tolerable by themselves but nothing special.

Honestly your best bet is mixing a few flavors together that balance each other. It only takes a tiny bit longer to mix 2,3,4, or 5 flavor recipes versus 1.

You can try Banana Nut Bread. Actually quite decent on it's own but much better with some Banana Cream to boost the fruit flavor. Try BNB 5% to 6% and BC 2% to 3%. That should do in a tank. Whether you'd have to adjust the % for a pod I can't say.

You can check out Flavor Notes & Flavor Reviews for TFA.

TFA-only recipes would be limiting enough but asking for just 1 TFA flavor to work in a pod... I don't think you're going to be very impressed with the results.

I don't really understand only ordering from TFA. You can order from legit anywhere.

He can go into the TFA factory and buy direct there instead of online from what I gather.

And ordering and paying online from your home is very much more difficult?

Each to their own - I'm in New Zealand so buy everything online lol. Bull City Flavours the spot.

Peanut Butter (DX) i don't think it's fantastic as a solo but it definitely is peanut butter. slightly has a powder sugar taste. like someone making pb balls.

TFA Bubblegum (Fruity/Juicy). Try 10% and 15%, high as all hell pct especially for that flavour but for pods it might do the trick. Can mix with pretty much any fruity flavour to make flavoured gum. Grape goes good, same with Strawberry though Strawberry youd probably wanna use a high pct cause TFA or might not taste it. Use sweetener as well, not sure how much youd need for a Pod as I use CAP Super Sweet and generally when mixing for Pods I use super concentrates like INW, FLV, MF ect. But definitely Bubblegum if you like candy. Also someone suggested Dragonfruit which isn't bad but no good by itself at high pct for pods, I've personally tried that and it definitely needs things mixed in to help its case.

If you forked out a bit more for up to 5 different concentrates I have a few all TFA recipes. Things like Custard Cookie, Strawberry Cheesecake (Mothers Milk remix), Cookies and Cream ect. Best bet is diversifying though, if you want a really yummy juice that you won't get sick of you probably need a few different options to make it. Good luck!

Try Hpno Type, a cocktail type with grape fruit and orange. I vape it sometimes as a single flavor at 5%

There should be an episode of Developed from two/three weeks back about TFA only recipes. Not exactly what you wanted but if you're mixing up one TFA flavor you might as well mix up 3 and get something much tastier.

Dude that's like me sayin im only buying from Wizard Labs since they're 5 minutes away. I could, but why? In your situation, especially being TFA, why do that? You get combinations that work with TFA and support notes out of their stuff. At least if i did this with Wizard I have a wide range to choose from not just their flavors.... Besides, you might be able to get deals that could make it cheaper than going into their B&M storefront.....

Do you really live that close to Wizard Labs? They have one flavor that I really want and apparently I can only get it from them or TFA direct. It's Boysenberry Deluxe. Found out about it here

Oh yeah, i forget the actual road they're on but I'm right by the I-4 bridge and Altamonte Dr/S.R. 436 in Altamonte Springs, FL. Wizard Labs is off Orange Ave?? In Altamonte Springs as well...

I could get behind a boysenberry flavor. My ex grandmother in law had a boysenberry bush at her house and it was always good when we'd get to pick the fresh clusters off the bush each year... Also dangerous cus of the thorns those things have LoL....

That's cool. I had some friends from college that moved down to Altamonte Springs. I went down there to visit once for an epic Y2K New Years Eve party. Ended up losing touch with them over the years though.

Definitely try get multiple flavours. If you were hoping to get 1 big bottle of concentrate then you're better off getting a few small bottles of assorted flavours and making some combos.

I've used several apples on it's own, with menthol and ws-23 as standalone vape and goes. TFA Apple (Granny Smith) is one I particulary like as I like less sweet apples. Adding menthol is quite nice for me as well. And I enjoy the ice hit, but make alt ones with and without the ws-23.

But cavet here is that I prefer singular flavours, and not everyone enjoys that. If you're used to more complex flavours, you might find problems with singular flavours, and often most are far better with supporting notes from other flavours.

A couple of the most potent TFA flavors I've tried are BlackBerry and Honeydew. Both flavors taste pretty good too but you don't need to add much.

TFA has an awesome Vanilla Custard 2. I mix it as a standalone an it's fire. :)

I picked some up today, smells amazing. Could you recommend percentages for 50mg 50/50 for pods?
