As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a category of flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.

FA Aurora is definitely a nonsense name, BUT its also very fitting for the flavor. It's a bight green, effervescent flavor along the lines of a limeade. If anyone is interested I used it in a strawberry limeade building on u/ID10-T's strawberry trinity.
I know this is probably not actually a nonsensical name but when I use it, I always ask myself why they named it "Milk & Honey": to me, there's no milk, there's no honey and it has no apparent link with any promised land.
I've seen it described as "more of a molasses" flavour, and I think thats quite accurate.
I like it but the name does not make any sense.
unofficial poll:
Reply here with your opinion of the the absolute dumbest name.
Has to be Flavor West's "Bubba's Pig Sap." WTF!
Is Pig Sap that jelly goop inside a can of Spam?
Does Lembas Bread count as nonsensical?
It's not the most nonsensical - the name does at least give you some idea of what to expect - but, yes, I think it counts. If not nonsensical, at least fantastical.
It's a decent name. They had to come up with something because "the muffin that we forgot to include in our Blueberry Muffin flavor" wouldn't have fit on a bottle.
DIYFS Mr. Good Stuff
FA Zen Garden
FE Oak Milk
FW Moose Milk
FW Reindeer Poop
HS Tab Blended
INW Fortuna Strike
INW Little Space Drop
RF Baklava
Some maybe make sense to you but these make no sense to me
Oak Milk is a flavored milk company.
Moose Milk might be a thing in Canada, IDK.
Tab might make sense if it stands for Tobacco.
Fortuna Strike is a way of saying Lucky Strike (as in the cigarette) without getting a cease and desist.
Baklava is a delicious dessert and you are a poor, derived person if you've never had it, you haven't lived yet.
The rest are gibberish to me, too.
>you are a poor, derived person if you've never had it
How do I derive this Baklava, I've never had one
Baklava

Moose milk: your choice of hard beverage (rum was normal in the Navy version), Kahlua (or, in descending order of preference, Camp Chickory and Coffee extract, instant coffee barely dissolved in water, or actual coffee that will water things down), some variety of milk-ish base (anything from half-and-half to Carnation, including eggnog), something sweet if needed (often but not always maple syrup), and a dash of nutmeg and/or cinnamon if the milk-ish stuff wasn't eggnog. It's a traditional levee punch, to the extent that New Year's Day levees in the Canadian military are traditional. (It's evolved over time; it started with a catch-as-can mix and stabilized as a coffee-and-cream-centric "morning after" booze mix sometime during the cold war.)
I had to go searching in my flavors to figure out if I even had any that were not what they say they actually are. Found a few:
MB Bounty
FA Joy
VT Love
Do the Flavorart Pazzo! line count in this?
Not really flavors
FA MTS Vape Wizard
TFA Smooth
Remember ordering my brother some goofy flavors
TP BaZinga!
TP Fluffy Cat
What is VT Love? I ordered it just because. But there was no flavor profile what so ever attached to it. Won't be in for 2 more days.
It's basically white chocolate, but u/ConcreteRiver explains it much better than I ever could. https://tasteofconcrete.com/2018/09/13/vape-train-love/
MB Bounty made sense to me because here in Australia it's a chocolate bar with coconut inside - which is close to Molinberry's description of 'Coconut cookie style with smooth hazelnut chocolate bits'.
Some weird ones I have are INW Exotic, INW Samba Drome, INW Voo Doo.
I think it was mentioned before, but i hope to see that (INW) Mississippi on there. Truly underated flavor, prpbly because of that ridiculous name
FW boom, FW cloud 9, FW happy hour, FW jungle juice, FW monkey fart, FW mystery flavor, FW tiki roar.
I can't wait to hear what ID10T thinks about Mom and Pops Calipitter Chow. I've been using FA Rhapsody for that fresh pack of smokes smell/flavor, in tandem with other more legitimate tobaccos.
i'd forgotten about mom and pops , although to be fair i think that most of theirs are intended as one shots and we have adopted them as flavours to mix with . calipitter chow has a charming explanation for its name as well as being a nice one shot/flavour .
Yeah, Calipitter Chow was going to be my addition to this week, but you beat me to it. u/Antique_Corner, not sure about other Mom & Pops, but I wouldn't call this a One Shot, though many comments stand behind what you are saying. It's one of those peculiar flavors that can be used in many scenarios, and will make its mark in the recipe, for sure. I have used it as low as 0.5% to add a slightly roasted note in an overbaked pineapple upside down recipe, and worked very well. It is mostly used in bakery, but would fit nicely in tabacos, and works well with creams too. This is Nutty, Roasted, Dark, Savoury, Sweet, some say creamy, some dry, some say vanilla others caramel, but what most reconcile, is that it is unique and very good, with very positive reviews, and I'm in that crowd. I've dug out some recipes that I think are worth sharing, plus some additional info if anyone might be interested, here goes

INW is big on gratuitous puns.
FA has a lot of flavors named to reference trademarked products without infringing the trademark...so not exactly nonsense.
FW has a lot of silly names for silly flavors...i.e., nonsense flavors rather than just names.
well it seems to me that there are multiple levels of nonsense here
firstly totally nonsense names which tell you nothing , where FA totally rules - labyrinth (i can't spell it , never mind know what flavour it might be !! ) , wow , joy , soho , metaphor, etc , etc . although the poles do try to give them a run for their money ! and of course flavor west .
next , names which are nonsense because they are misleading or vague - the classic is FLV milk and honey - yeah no milk and no honey ! but we have others like TPA black honey .
then we have the () nonsense - green apple , apple (tart granny smith) , apple ( green tart) etc
and we have the names that are nonsense because they have unnecessary qualifiers - here molinberry are king . they have a pear flavour , a very good one , but why is it called shape up pear ??? or others such as butter my biscuit or queen delicate pineapple ?
and of course we then have those flavours which may not have nonsense names but you have to ask is that really a thing ?? - here ooo probably rule with gems (?) such as peanut butter cereal balls ! but we europeans are not to be outdone because we have solubarome with herbe des druides or chocolate pear crumble and of course molinberry and inawerra (i,ve just got passion flower , which yes is apparently a thing , but i've not dared try it yet )
I remember when Joy came out everyone was like 'W...T..F?' Lol...don't have much else in my Stash, though I have wanted to try Aurora.
This week's flavor pack looks great! I don't usually go for straight tobaccos, buuut I always have an RY4 steeping, and these are all flavorings I've seen in recipes I have saved for 'later'...Red Burley and Kentucky Blend especially pop up frequently, and the others I'm sure I can use in something for my mom, who's making the switch but hasn't found her flavor yet. Maybe tobacco will make the transition easier?
there are like 10 FA products that I know of that have names that makes no sense, which is a weird marketing move if you ask me. However, Mom & Pops (Butterfly Bait) takes the cake because the 1st thing that comes to my mind is a pile of poop or rotten meat.
DIYFS Lucky Shot and Mom&Pops Calipitter Chow are my favourite nonsensically named flavours. If you haven't tried them yet then buy them immediately!! I've been working on a fair few different recipes using Lucky Shot, it's super versatile. I've put this one on ATF today,
Bourbon Pecan Pie:
4% WF Butter Pecan Pie
7% OSDIY Lucky Shot
1.25% TFA Kentucky Bourbon
(Give it at least 3 days steep)

I'm not really into nonsense flavor name....I have joy and love , maybe 1 or 2 more but that's about it. I like my flavors to be self explanatory most of the time. Vanilla custard, milk, cheesecake graham crust, orange marmalade, all sounds good to me that way. But hey if you're into dragon's fart, fearie blood and elephant vomit more to you! If there's some good flavoring in tonight Show I might try them.... maybe 😜
Part 2
Noted Ep. 152: NONSENSE NAMES (ft. Hex)
PART 2
FA Aurora: Really nice lime. Perfect lime for beverage/ cocktail vapes. Light lime flavour. Has feeling of effervescence. 0.28
VT Love: White Chocolate. Did a pretty good job selling the white chocolate profile. Nice buttery, fatty note. Very milky and creamy. Slight cocoa note. Thick, rich, has a lot of body. Distinct milk taste up front, followed by a lot of white chocolate and a little touch of vanilla. Then a hint of cocoa on the end. Needs to steep for a few days. Otherwise get a bit of a cardboard-y finish. Looses the cardboard but some dryness remains in the finish. There are probably better options for white chocolate. But makes a good milk chocolate enhancer. Or a cream enhancer or cream sweetener. Anywhere you want a dairy milk or cream, where the hints of vanilla and cocoa wouldn't be out of place. Like a milkshake. Tested at 3%. 1.11
FA Rhapsody: Dirty tea. ID10-T didn't get tobacco, got sweet tea. Emily got tobacco. But when using raw BY to clean the wick it turned into a nice, earthy tea. Could be used in a tea mix. Tested at 1% 4.07
FW Unicorn Vomit: Reminiscent of FW Jungle Juice without the menthol. Emily got sour watermelon candy sitting in a bottle of perfume. Chemical off note. Thin, powdery candy. Hex didn't get a lot of perfume. 5.12
FA Zen Garden: Basil, sage, spicy mix. A little woody.. FLV Basil is a much better option for basil. It's sweeter, fresh basil. This is like a dried seasoning. Tested at 0.5% 6.34
FA Monsoon: Mellow, sweet, a little creaminess. Non descript fruitiness and cherry that is a bit cough syrupy. Nice mouthfeel and creaminess. 7.25
FW Cloud Nine: Sweet, non descript mixed fruit. Bit of a vinyl, plastic off note. 8.24
FW Reindeer Poop: Very similar to Moose Milk, but more bready. Cinnamon roll with a little vanilla and A lithe but of chocolate. Cinnamon is thin, sharp and not a bakery cinnamon. But it's very slight and well balanced that it's not too off putting. Definitely useable. Chocolate doesn't stand out to much. 9.03
FW Beetle Juice: Semi sweet, pretty non descript fruitiness with a nice, bright citrus. Slight floral edge. Predominant fruits are pineapple, raspberry, some kind of citrus. Not a very strong citrus, just enough to make it interesting and brighten it up. 10.36
FA Labyrinth: Thick, rich yellow cake with vanilla and some fruity sweetness. Very slight hint of anise and some lemon. Anise not as prominent as in FA Nonna's Cake. ID10-T gets stewed prunes from the fruitiness. 11.45
FA WOW: Emily likes Wow, but hates FA Zeppola. It sticks out in a recipe, it has an odd and very distinctive spice note. Wow had a cinnamon-like spiciness, but not as prominent. Has a bright, red, fruity sweetness. Really well balanced, sweet. Nice fried, bready note. Needs a lot of help in all areas but no terrible off notes. Sweet, complex. More of a generic pastry than a doughnut with some red fruitiness. Maybe not raspberry, as it's advertised as, but distinctly red. Not especially gooey, but it is red and sweet. 12.59
PUR Sunset: Sweet, creamy tropical flavour. Banana and coconut with a touch of pineapple tartness. Prominently banana with done pineapple. Coconut is really subtle. Just adds some rich sweetness. Works really well with the banana and the brightness of the pineapple. Banana isn't candied, but isn't really authentic either. Like an artificial banana pudding type banana. Would work great in a tropical mix or a mix that has a tropical vibe. At 5% was bold, creamy, sweet. Tested at 5%. 14.55
VT Fruit Mix: Bright, tart, red and pineapple type fruit mix. Has a bubblegum vibe. A bit of a powdery note, similar to that in TFA Bubblegum. A little sharp and harsh. But full flavoured, full mouthfeel. 16.32
VT Island Dream: Similar to PUR Sunset, Emily likes Sunset a little more. Sweet, creamy, tropical. Similar pineapple tartness. But has a bit of a dark, rum note. Syrupy sweetness from the rum. Not very boozy, more mellow. Adds some dark sweetness. Could add something like Jamaican Rum if you wanted more booziness. 17.43
FA Oba Oba: Really, really good. Delicious. Mild, vanilla candy. Like the shell of an M&M. Or a cream soda Dum Dum. Sweet, creamy, non descript, candy shell flavour. Has a darkness to it that makes it really interesting. 19.17
FW Double Dutch Chocolate: CONTAINS SOLID FATS - POTENTIAL FOR LIPID PNEUMONIA. Rich, thick, creamy. Kind of similar to cake frosting you buy in a can. A bit darker than that, although not dark chocolate. Does gunk coils and pretty soon it makes you think you have a dry wick, even though it's not, tastes a little burnt. Tested at 5% and 2%. 5% is a lot. 2% still got a good, rich chocolate and doesn't gunk coils so fast. 20.22
FW Bubba's Pig Sap: Fake bacon bits, a little cheap maple syrup and plastic off note. Pretty bad throat hit. 22.40
TFA Spurberry: TFA describe it as a mixture of red fruits. Does taste like red fruits, but has nail polish remover off note. Not salvageable. 24.54
INW Garden of Eden: Supposed to be an apple and cherry mix. Failed on the cherry, plastic off note. Odd waxy mouthfeel. 26.12
FA Mad Fruit (aka Mad Mix): Used to be called Red Bull, but they had to change it. Hex thought it was like a cheap, flat Red Bull. No effervescence. Weird gritty mouthfeel. There are better options. Some may find it very harsh. ID10-T got Juicy Fruit gum, with a little candied cherry. Slight plastic off note. Could maybe use a small amount, 0.5% or less, to give another, softer energy drink flavour more punch. Tested at 1.5%, 2% and 4%. 27.07
MB The Chill: Cooling is pretty overpowering. Mix of menthol and WS23. Watermelon is really light, needs help. It's juicy and sweet when it does come through. 29.51
FW Green Engine: Weak, had to use at 8% to get any flavour. Really light, tropical fruit flavour. Banana undertone. Some mango Tested up to 8% 31.12
Part 3
Noted Ep. 152: NONSENSE NAMES (ft. Hex)
INW Mississippi: Predominantly creamy pineapple with some other indistinguishable tropical fruits. Pretty good. Really smooth. 32.15
INW Fresh Puff: Spearmint gum. Really nice gummy mouthfeel. Has the chalkiness of gum. Really spearmint-y. Could use as a SF. 33.22
INW Exotic: Tropical mix. Mainly mango and pomegranate. Has slight spice. A little banana on the exhale. Would probably work in drink mixes. 34.21
NR (Nic River) Melody: Pretty subtle. Watermelon and strawberry mix. Mingle together really nicely. Also has some apple. Slight minty aftertaste? But could have been the remnants of a previous flavour in the RDA? Could just add another strawberry or something and it would be good. 35.35
INW Purple Blush: Candy grape. Jammy mouthfeel. Definitely sweeter than a grape jam, may not work in a PB&J recipe. Would work in candy grape mixes. 37.00
MB Stranger Things: Bubblegum. Different to MB American Bubblegum. Perfect gumball, really nice pink bubblegum base on the inhale. Envelopes the mouth. 38.27
INW Blue Dwarf: Blueberry bubblegum. Really good. Light, refreshing. Good gummy texture. Can be improved with the addition of another blueberry as it's a little light. 40.04
MB Dr Beat: Cola Bomb Pop. Dense cola syrup on the inhale. Red, white and blue Bomb Pop in the exhale. Limited versatility in a mix, but pretty good as a SF. Tested at 5%. 40.57
MB Ugly Delicious: Supposed to be strawberry, watermelon bubblegum. But more reminiscent of pink Pop Rocks. Not a lot of gum. Nice strawberry and watermelon flavour. Bubblegum aspect needs some help, but pretty easy to fix. (See Noted Bubblegum episode for possible options) 42.34
NR (Nic River) Kigola: Really good strawberry kiwi. Definitely artificial. Reminiscent of CAP Sweet Strawberry with FA Kiwi. Really sweet strawberry on the inhale. Kiwi on the exhale, then the strawberry comes in again. Pretty sweet. Candy type sweetness. Could easily use in a candy mix. Has a little tartness. 43.33
FW Red White and Blue: CONTAINS 20-30% SUGAR SYRUP. Described as raspberry, blueberry yoghurt on Flavor Jungle. Described as starfruit, strawberry and blackberry. But tastes like blueberry lemonade. Blueberry is a little candied. Lemonade is a like weak. Really sweet. Faint chemical, plastic off note. 46.11
FW Tiki Roar: CONTAINS 10-20% SUGAR SYRUP. Described as a combination of tropical fruits. Extremely sweet. Soft, under saturated pineapple and candy orange, with some indistinct red fruits. Not great. 47.40
FA Mellow Sunset: (There's also an INW Mellow Sunset) FA describe it as a mild tobacco with slight earthy taste. Tested like a vaguely lemony citrus with something in between tobacco and tea. Also has some caramel sweetness with a hint of liquorice in the finish. Doesn't taste good. 48.34
FA Joy: Useful when used very low to give a fried, yeasty note in something like a doughnut. Around 0.25%, maybe 0.5% if using with strong flavours. Very unpleasant as a SF. Like stale beer, vegetable oil and a little powdered sugar. Cheap beer type yeasty note. Sweet and a little oily. No bready-ness. 50.07
FA Euphoria: FA describe it as citrus with exotic fruits and soft tobacco notes. Tastes like wintergreen tobacco, there's some kind of minty cooling. There also some citrus, a prune-ish fruit. Hint of anise. The tobacco isn't too bad but there's a lot of other stuff with it. Overall unpleasant. 51.48
FA Eclipse: Tastes like it's supposed to be a dark chocolate mint tobacco. But has soapy, floral high note. Fairly thin and dry. 53.12
FA Dusk: FA describe it as a soft, delicate tobacco with liquorice and woody notes. It is soft and very smooth. Intricate flavour. Tobacco is woody. Black liquorice is fairly light. Also has a prominent chocolate note with a little berry. As well as a hint of mint. Very busy. 54.34
INW American Dream: INW describe it as sweet American tobacco with hints of vanilla and caramel. Tastes like a light, peanut-y, slightly sweet tobacco with no discernable vanilla or caramel. Oddly smooth, creamy feel. Boring but not terrible. INW already have a fair few peanut tobaccos, Nutty Princess, Peanut Tobacco, Tobacco Symphony, Gentleman. 56.49
INW Gentleman: Very similar to INW American Dream, but noticeably sweeter as has a more robust, richer, toastier tobacco. Caramel-y sweetness. ID10-T would choose Gentleman over American Dream and Tobacco Symphony. 58.17
INW Tobacco Symphony: Dirty peanuts and peanut shells. 59.31
MB Shock: MB describe it as strawberry juice, citrus fresh lime, seasonal forest berries, anise, liquorice and a secret ingredient. The secret ingredient seems to be a light touch of menthol. Tastes mostly like a strawberry forward, mixed berry lemonade with anise. The fruit lemonade is really good, if you like the idea of the addition of anise you might love it. The menthol is very subtle. More of a feeling than a flavour. Starts with anise, which remains throughout the vape. Smooth, crisp lemon with sweet berry finish. 1.00.00
FA Metaphor: A lemon cake doughnut. The lemon is ever so slightly pledge-y, like a cereal lemon, like Fruit Loops, rather than a bakery lemon. Really nice, dense, fried cake doughnut with a crispy edge. A little oily. But the lemon doesn't fit. 1.02.29
FA Up: Coffee, cream and cereal. The coffee is a a bit burnt, but not completely terrible. The addition of cereal is odd. 1.03.40
FA Dark Bean - tastes like skunk spray and burnt popcorn
FW Happy Hour: FW describe it as a combination of strawberry margarita and pina colada. But has no tequila, rum, no lime. A dull candy strawberry and an average coconut candy. Strawberry rates like FW Strawberry, just meh. 1.04.58
MB Indulge: MB describe it as raspberry, caramel, vanilla, custard and cocoa. Tastes mostly like a raspberry cream. There something dark, like caramel or brown sugar with what is maybe a hint of cocoa. But it's a pretty good raspberry cream. It's rich. Fairly thick, but not as thick as a custard. More like a heavy cream. Hint of butter. 1.06.04
MB Attitude: Supposed to be blueberry, raspberry, custard and caramel. Complex profile, but comes across a bit muddled. An indistinct berry, some darker sweetness - maybe a drier caramel. With the blueberry it tastes almost chocolatey. Only a little custard, more like a heavy cream. Lacks butter or egg. Pleasant, but muddled. No real off notes. 1.07.01
MB Boom: Strawberry and watermelon. 20% strawberry, 80% watermelon. The strawberry is mediocre. The watermelon is a really good, candy watermelon. Reminiscent of watermelon Hubba Bubba bubblegum. The strawberry just kind of gets in the way. 1.08.08
OSDIY Cacti Cooler: Based on Cactus Cooler soda? Which is orange and pineapple. Nothing that suggests soda but it's very clearly orange and pineapple. Very sweet. A little pineapple tartness in the top note with sweet, candy orange finish. They blend a lot in the middle. Very thick and candied rather than a drink. Very smooth, especially for orange and pineapple. Could add FLV Citrus Soda to make more into a soda. Could also be an interesting addition in a mix that uses orange and/or pineapple. Or a semi tropical fruit punch. Tested at 6% 1.08.59
FA Cocoon: FA describe it as a caramel apple. ID10-T got more like a caramelised apple, like the apple pie filling but without the spice. Pretty tasty though. Could use in apple pie or crumble etc. 1.11.33
FA Morning Sun: Mostly a non vanilla cream. Has a noticeable, but not over powering dairy twang. Like FA Cream Fresh. Vague fruit note - kiwi? With some other fruitiness behind that. Not very rich, but has a thick, smooth texture. Has a baked note, which some people have described as pastry or cereal. But ID10-T thinks it's just FA Meringue. Reminiscent of a watered down Coop's Kiwi Cheesecake. Limited versatility. 1.13.12
Recipe: Coop's Kiwi Cheesecake (ATF) - just FA Kiwi, TFA CCGC and FA Meringue. 1.14.35
OSDIY Blue Note: Graham crust, blueberry cream pie. Strong graham crust flavour, probably TFA CCGC. Followed but a solid blueberry and filled out with some cream. May be TFA Blueberry Extra and Blueberry Wild and maybe something like TFA Sweet Cream? The blueberry doesn't pop, but doesn't taste bad 1.15.55
INW Purple Rain: Violet, lavender and vanilla. Very pastel purple tasting. The violet is oddly a bit tart. Fairly tart flavour up front, then smoothes out with the vanilla. Tart, purple flowers on a sweet, creamy vanilla base. A good introductory flavour to florals. Only need 1%. Plenty of flavour. Potent. 1.17.38
JF Tropic: Very full bodied and saturated. Really juicy, has a mouth watering quality. Sweet, candy pineapple up front with pina colada Life Saver. Very subtle candy peach note, like the favour of peach rings without the gummy texture. Overall like a mouth full of tropical candy. Not harsh. No off notes. 1.19.10
Mom & Pops Calipitter Chow: Very nutty, but no particular nut. Maybe a peanut, hazelnut hybrid. Very rich in the way nuts are rich. Drenched in sticky, sweet caramel. Something very dark and a little bitter, maybe coffee or dark chocolate. Provides some counter-action to all the sweet caramel. Really interesting contrast. Very saturated flavour. Vapes like a one shot. Begging to be mixed with tobacco. Could also be used in bakeries, nut mixes, coffee, chocolates... Tested at 6%, steeped for almost a week. 1.21.25
OSDIY Lucky Shot: Really complex, rich. Gooey caramel sauce with quite a lot of vanilla. The graham cracker is up front. Equal parts graham and caramel ice cream topping. In a similar way to Calipitter Chow there's a touch of something dark and malty. Goes really well with WF Caramel Rice Crispy Treats. Begging to be mixed with a tobacco. Tested up to 8%. A bit weak. 8% a good spot. (Can use at least up to 15% with no off notes.) 1.25.11
Part 1:
Noted Ep. 152: NONSENSE NAMES (ft. Hex)
(Aired 26th May 2020)
(SPLIT INTO TWO VIDEOS)
PART 1:
(Cheeba's list - from worst to first)
FA Summer Clouds: Supposedly peach and rose. Hint of peach and a whole lot of dryer sheets. Very perfumey. Light floral, which tastes more like lavender than rose. 6.11
FA Hypnotic Mist: Citrus, indistinct but mostly orange. Creamy. Smooth but also dry. Oddly bitter undertone that is reminiscent of a tea. A little sweetness. Fairly subtle flavour. A bit underwhelming. Limited versatility, maybe an abstract mix? Or with orange and/or tea? Could use in an earl grey to enhance the fruitiness, without making the bergamot note intense. Especially an earl grey with cream as it is kind of creamy. 18.14
FA Ozone: Lighter, leafy tobacco. A little dirty, not ashy. Some fruity sweetness. Vapes really well. Like sweet hay/ grassy. Could work as a base for a Cigarillo? 11.12
FA Storm: Slight bitter edge. Reminiscent of FA Arabian Tobacco, similar hay note. No sweetness. Darker, eathier tobacco. Along the lines of something like Elder Captain, more robust tobaccos. Not a cigarette tobacco. Not quite wet enough for a pipe tobacco. 14.11
FA Glory: Sweeter tobacco, predominantly from caramel notes. But some fruity sweetness, which is a little distracting and a little much with the caramel. Leans more towards a cigarette tobacco. Lighter, more mellow tobacco, not bitter or grassy. Could vape as a SF. Maybe could use in an RY4 for caramel sweetness and a little tobacco? 15.36
FW Moose Milk: Predominantly vanilla, with some creamy undertones and a touch of cinnamon. Mellow, creamy. Nice vanilla. Along the lines of an egg nog, but no egg. Cinnamon a little sharp and thin but so mellow that it isn't off putting. Pretty tasty. Slight bakery note, maybe cereal or cinnamon roll? Very full mouthfeel and creamy. 18.04
FW Boom: Pretty good base for a Bomb Pop mix. The cherry, blue raspberry and pineapple/ lemon-lime need amplifying, not punchy enough. The cherry is authentic to that in a popsicle and doesn't have any off notes. Semi sweet. Syrupy texture. Full mouthfeel Tested at 5% 20.11
INW Pink Panther: INW say it's supposed to be strawberry, rhubarb and red currant. The strawberry and red currant are not easily distinguishable, more of a thick, sweet, red berry thing. The combination of the two come across as something between a guava and a raspberry. Really good overall. Syrupy sweetness, very sweet. Rhubarb is fairly subtle and the slight bitterness it has counter balances all the sweetness. Really nice contrast. Pretty great as a SF. Or could just add something like cream. Could work in a lot of interesting mixes. Tested at 1% and 3%. Full flavoured at 1%. Pretty strong at 3% 22.20

Newbie warning can I just say I absolutely adore the detail and descriptions you give flavors. I am going to find this video, not enough people IMO actually know how to describe the plethora of variables in a flavor...cream isn't JUST cream....I'd digress but it would end up sounding rant-ish but the odd not was that the primary DIYer for recipes I found just yesterday-with his ability to explain-again IMO-a true pinacolada-ID10-T & you mention him/her here...that can't be a coincidence.. **Feels a little odd that after 40 years, half of it smoking and have never met anyone who had the sense of taste I've maintained through smoking. I can taste scent...it's like one of those oxymoronic level super powers gone wrong type of gifts! I joke that I had to smoke away my taste buds or I'd drop dead during public interactions as a result of any of the following: other people's intentional application of scent, ignoring resulting scent from hygiene(lack of) and finally the kryptonite to my power-the SBD(silent but deadly). I'm left with the ability to know the perpetrator on the 'whats in your colon' level intimacy but sans their identity... And I've never even known anyone that understands how something can taste a certain feeling...or taste like fall or winter or taste like anger,love,rage....yada yada... thanks a million... PS...newbie to not only vaping, but Reddit...took me a week to figure out the non-existant sidebar was not an ACTUAL SIDEBAR but a theoretical description of an area of reading....I live theories and analogies....but....really?!? Lol..I don't consider myself anti-tech savvy either....
I can't give a true taste-monial as I'm so new my vape palate is still similar to Gerber baby food stage1...but I think attributing the word 'Joy' to anything that leaves one feeling like they've got a loaf of something that may require a fluconazole rx to cure after vaping is just kinda wrong?!?! Especially without a warning or not in a line like 'garbage pail' flavors perhaps a blog theme idea anyone have a line of flavors like that? Or a list called 'garbage pail' vape flavors? Lol I may have tried Joy if it weren't for reviews... I guess this is where imparting an emotion to a flavor takes the psychologist in me down the rabbit hole of 'If 'joy' tastes like this to you; then..'
RY4 we all know it, most of us like it but what the hell does RY4 mean?
It's short for Ruyan-4. IIRC there were 6 RYs, from 1 to 6, 1 being the most vanilla, 6 being the most tobacco heavy. There's a good write up about it here
I’m not into tobaccos but I have a friend that I recently have gotten down from a 2 pack a day to a few cig a day habit just by making a VERY simple vanilla butterscotch dy4 double recipe for her. So it’s made me want to branch out into more tobaccos but there’s sooooooo many to pick from I haven’t known where to start. If I win I will 100% be putting them all to the test. 👊🏼
Inw horned toffee? Don't have it but it's in my shopping list. Looking to use it as part of a peanut brittle recipe.
I've seen that one on clearance at riversupplyco for a while now. Haven't seen any reviews on it though so I'd be wary.
