Hey everyone! This is my first recipe and I wanted to share it and see what people think. There aren’t many honeydew creams and even less recipes with Honeydew II. I have it up on ATF but here’s the recipe:
1% INW Cactus
2% TPA Honeydew II
3% TPA Honeysuckle (pg)
0.5% FA Marshmallow
0.25% CAP Super Sweet (optional)
1%. TPA Sweet Cream
Total 7.75%
Steep Days: 2 (SNV)
Best VG: 60%
Temperature: I vape an 8 wrap SS316L at 50W at 470f on my citadel rda.

It is sweet and definitely honeydew as a shake and vape but not much of a body. After an overnight steep, the marshmallow and sweet cream start to fill in where the honeydew leaves off. The cactus and honeysuckle add juiciness to the honeydew but it’s missing the floral note I was hoping the honeysuckle would add. I’ll be tweaking the recipe to bump that up but this is so yummy, I wanted share as is.
Mix it up and report back! Pls 🥰 -Kimberkat
Not usually much of a cream fan but I will be trying this, sounds incredible!
Yay!! It’s definitely more honeydew than cream. The honeydew II has a very watery, wispy almost cucumber finish. The marshmallow and sweet cream just help create body for the melon to linger. I hope I’m explaining that correctly. I’m about to make a 100 ml bottle. I can’t put it down. Also, it doesn’t stain my atty or squonk bottle with honeydew like version 1 does.
Finally ordered all the flavors required for this recipe! When they get here and I make my first batch I'll let you know how my wife and I like it!
While I’m waiting for INW Cactus, is there something I could substitute, or one of the other flavors that I could increase?
Also, my TFA/TPA Honeydew isn’t Honeydew II. What differences can I expect?
There’s nothing you could increase... the cactus pumps up the juiciness of the honeydew. If you smell them together, they both have a similar sweet, vegetal note to them. The honeysuckle also shares similar notes to the honeydew and cactus- the three together create a sweet, juicy, almost floral honeydew.
Also, I’ve only been mixing for a month and this is my first crafted from scratch recipe. There might be some more senior mixers than I that can chime in with substitutions but I don’t really believe you can substitute many flavors and get the same profile. Sorry, I can’t be much help.
Accept no substitutes. Its quite unique and quite indispensable.
I agree! I used these ingredients for a reason. Sometimes you can substitute one companies flavor for another but -/+ the percentages- sometimes you can’t. Some flavors, like cactus have no substitute. I personally found if you substitute more or one flavor in a recipe- it’s no longer that recipe and you’re better off making your own. As a new mixer sharing a recipe and wanting feedback, it’s kind of a hard thing to say. I don’t want to sound like a bitch, you know? Anyway... happy clouds and mix on!🥰
You can’t substitute the cactus... anything else would make it too watery. IMO -You have to use honeydew II for this recipe.
My recipe was made specifically for Honeydew II. HD 1 is more candy like and assertive and gets soapy over 1% -1.5% so I don’t use honeydew 1 - it also stains my attys and tanks.
So I would use 1% or less of honeydew version 1 and since it’s a completely different honeydew I don’t know how good your juice will come out.
