Just a quick question because I’m curious. I have 100 flavors roughly and have them stored in a cabinet. I separate them based on flavor types. Fruits in one section, then berries, then candies, then misc types such as cucumber and cactus, a section for desserts and creams, etc. then I organize each section of flavors in alphabetical order. It has saved me sooo much time.
Got a rarely used batch and a commonly used batch, in that one I somehow roughly remember which is which and the very commonly used ones in it are in bigger bottles so are even easier to find.
I organize my flavors alphabetically. I tried organizing by brand and I prefer alphabetical by name of flavor
Alphabetical is where it’s at
Bag o' Fruit 1
Bag o' Fruit 2
Bag o' Creams
Bag o' Strawberries
Bag o' Lemonade
Bag o' terrible flavors I probably won't mix with again (aka TFA Cherry)
WS-23 & CAP SS
Ever have a problem with them leaking?
All the bottles in each bag are oriented vertically, the bag is more for organization but also provides an extra layer of security. No leaks yet!
The only serious leak I've had was a large bottle of...let's say PG. Had the bottle sealed and in a huge ziploc but made the mistake of not storing it vertically. Ended up with an actual bag of liquid. I try to store everything vertically now.
I have a wall of shelves. The wall is broken down into thirds. First is creams, each shelf is color coded, flavored creams, straight creams and milks, custards and puddings, yogurts and cheesecakes, ice creams and flavored milks. Second section is fruits, similarly broken down and color coded, third section is bakeries and additives, also color coded. I have a database that is broken down in the same sub groups, and there I have all relevant notes on any flavors, as well as the amount that I have. It brings out the geek in me, and I love organizing it, and all that entails. I’m glad I started doing it that way from the beginning or it would be too much to try and get a handle on. I wish I could figure out a way to post a picture.
Oh goodness how many flavors do you have?? That’s crazy! I’m a very disorganized person so having mine in alphabetical order and in a few sections is an accomplishment.
Your method is very similar to mine. I have 400 + flavors, and backups of flavors I really enjoy. It’s worth keeping notes somewhere, because one whipped cream to another can be very different, and without notes you run the risk of losing track. Start with just the ones you really like. It’s not a far leap from your collection to mine, trust me, they add up fast. I managed to get a photo uunder my account name if you’d like to see. I wish more people in my life vaped, all my work could be appreciated 😂😂. Even still, it makes me happy.
This entire thread would benefit with some photos to illustrate the organization and chaos being described. :)
wall of flavors Here’s mine ☺️☺️
What about when you get a new flavor? Don’t you have to shift a bunch?
I just got started but I’m planning on using cosmetic organizers (like for lipstick or nail polish) and just having a spreadsheet with the location (grid coordinates like A5, E2, etc.) so if I add to the collection it just goes in the next available slot.
The spreadsheet can be searched or sorted alphabetically, by flavor category, whatever...
I usually buy flavors maybe once a month and then sort my new flavors into their respective sections and then alphabetize them. Then I add them in one at a time starting from Z and working back to front in the pile. It is a bit tedious to add in flavors but only doing it once a month isn’t that big of a deal to me
I was also trying to avoid having to like look at a spreadsheet on my phone or computer to find my flavors. This way even though it’s annoying to add flavors it’s still very fast and easy for me to find what I need
But I applaud the people who go above and beyond and color code, make spread sheets, etc.
I might consider a printout every time I buy a new flavor/batch.
It will be like one of those grocery store references to tell you which aisle products are in.
So the list will be alphabetized by flavor and I can use it to look up the location. And I can just tape it to the inside of the cabinet door.
Alphabetical: flavor first, then by manufacturer. Some flavors and additives fit more than one category.
This is true. Which is why I just stick them in what my brain thinks is the most accurate. Green apple hard candy could go to fruits but it has the word candy in it so I stick it with my candies. I’m about to make a new section for flavors that start with “juicy” just because I have like ten.
I store mine together by recipe in ziplock bags. Each recipe has its own ziplock. New flavors that I’m trying out go into the random flavors ziplock that has cooling agents, sweeteners, etc in it.
I keep them all in a small tote bag that has a shoulder strap since I travel a lot. If I were at home more I would just sort them alphabetically by flavor on a shelf, but sorting them by recipe saves me the time of having to sort through flavors to line up a mix.
Man I’ve often thought about organizing my recipe. I have like 4 or 5 recipes that I consistently make between experimenting
Yeah it just makes it super simple. If you are constantly trying new things then a complete alphabetical set up would make sense, but for me I know what I like now so having a complete recipe available is where it’s at for me.
Alphabetically, in two large spice racks screwed to my wall.
Oh nice. A wall setup. I have to sit on the ground when I mix haha my cabinet is SHORT
Yeah, it's so nice having everything right there above the drafting table I tilted into a standing desk.
Can't really right now so it kind of a mish mash of bottles that are sitting in two plastic tub I got from River Supply Co with my DIY kit, but if I could I'd organize them much like I used to organize my Magic: The Gathering cards. Color, type, alphabetical... With flavors it would be manufacturer, type of flavor, alphabetical....
Manufacturer is a good one to sorry by definitely. Buy some cheap nail polish shelves and organize my man
Alphabetically according to the name on ATF (not on the bottle, if they differ) in nail polish racks on shelves. I leave a bit of space on the end of each rack for new flavours.
Remember that juice spoiled. Just saying because you have so many and trying to take a vape off old juice might surprise you
Luckily the oldest one is around 6 months. So they should all still be good!
