Thank you!
It is best to err on the side of caution and refrain from making your friend any flavors of the nut variety.
Even tasting something, though not actually containing the proteins, can cause the brain to initiate a reaction.
Not a doctor, so you might want to actually ask one.
Having said that, allergies are usually triggered by proteins, of which there are none in the juice. But that's not always the way allergies are triggered, so best ask the doc.
If I was allergic to a food I like and there was an alternative way of tasting this flavor, I'd certainly look into vaping it. So I'd...you know...ask a doctor.
I am allergic to a bunch of fruits and veggies, but I am also allergic to some flavorings. I can't eat strawberries, but I can vape strawberry flavors, I am also allergic to bananas, and am allergic to banana flavors. I'm (epipen) allergic to nuts, but I haven't tried any nut flavors.
Basically, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to my real plant allergies and flavor allergies.
There probably aren't any nut proteins in juice, but definitely have an epipen handy and know how to administer it he decides to risk it and try a nut flavored juice.
I am also allergic to a host of odd fruits and vegetables. Bananas, avocados, carrots, pineapples. So far no reaction to vaping the odd banana here and there, but I’m afraid of the pineapple. I’ve never met someone else allergic to bananas. ✌️
I left out the most important thing I discovered, look up fruit latex syndrome, see if that rings true for you.
Oh, it definitely started with a latex allergy. I can vape pineapple, and I'm obsessed with FLV pineapple, I could just drink the concentrate it's so good.
