'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of April 03, 2020
submitted over 5 years ago by AutoModeratorBootylicious

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! Don't forget to include manufacturers' names for all of your concentrates, and make your list easier to read by using bullet points or at least listing each of your flavors on a new line by hitting return twice after each flavor.

There are also a few resources in the sidebar where you can register a free account, input your flavors, sort by rating, and either mix something up or be inspired to make something with your ingredients.

Happy Mixing!

Heyo! Looking to build some new blueberry, and/or strawberry recipes.

Here's the flavors I have:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lKbrbIlP9SQYAfIeugJvDaN2e6J5x_ALvYV1_CMCFXA/edit?usp=sharing

And here are the blueberry/strawberry recipes I've made:

https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/share/ea0694cb-f3b7-4f86-a0b0-71689f8efb1b I like this one a lot, but do you guys see anything I could do to improve it? It's not really a poptart haha

https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/share/ab1b3e29-a816-4a7a-95bc-786dde56c211 This one is kinda trash, I think I'm not using the chocolate mousse in the best way. Any more appropriate chocolate flavors anyone could suggest?

edit: fixed last link

If you were going for a chocolate covered strawberries I would personally use either WF Chocolate Chunks or HS Australian Chocolate. They’re both good chocs and a good at conveying that hard shell type chocolate, instead of making the whole mix taste like chocolate.

Chocolate is a bit tricky at the best of times though.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll check those out

Have you seen Noted before? I’ve linked the Chocolate episode. You might get some ideas from that? They have done a fair few episodes on Strawberries as well if you wanted to know some good options for those too?

Here’s a link to the Noted playlists. The top one has the more recent episodes and the bottom one has the older ones.

Thank you!

I am getting burned out only vaping a simple peppermint in pod devices for the last few years.

I'm also struggling to figure out HOW i like to vape anymore. I recently whipped up the elkamino clone and it's good but no ADV for me.

Is there anything that can be made in my stash?

I do like bakery/deserts. Fruits and mints as well.

I really am looking for some proven recipes to rekindle my enjoyment of flavor.

With 121 flavors, what do you get when you click "What can I make?" (probably a couple thousand results) Can you narrow it down and say what categories or flavors you like?

I'm sorry, that's pretty inconsiderate of me.

does that make sense?

> looking for some proven recipes

That's a bit intimidating. Have you tried the 'What Can I Make' feature, and also with +1 and +2 on ATF? Same with ELR and 'Allow Missing Flavors' 1 - 4 flavors like u/TimInElmira said?

by d-babsover 5 years ago

I don't know of an easy way to export/import my list into ATF. I would like to get it over there because of the perceived "quality" of the recipes as opposed to ELR.

I have not looked into the +1 options at all and must have missed that comment.

I'm really looking for something that people like, popular stuff. I hate to be that guy, but I have just been so let down with many things I've mixed I'm wondering if I am inherently doing something wrong.

Thanks for taking time to respond, I do sincerely appreciate it.

There's been import functions but a friend of mine told me they've always been broken. Manually inputting your flavors is really easy. Just type in a few letters like 'straw' for strawberry and the list will auto-populate and you just put a tick mark next to the flavor. Done. take you like 5 minutes.

The 'what can I make' obviously will tell you what you can make but the +1 and +2 filter on ATF will tell you what you can make if you had another one or two flavor(s) in your stash. Same with ELR with the 'allow missing flavors' filter but you can go up to four missing flavors. Then you can either sub what you're missing or buy it on your next order.

I also did not like a whole lotta recipes I tried. But trying them is also a learning process. I’ve been ‘let up’ enough times to make it worthwhile. Even learned how to adapt (steal) a few recipes and make stuff I just really enjoy. One of my favorites is tootsee roll The combo of cap sc and Fa meringue makes me happy. So I’ve stolen that several times over. I like losing the Sb and subbing the caramel/nut and just screwing around with that.

I came up with two of my favorites recently:

~4% capella lemon sicily ~1.5% capella vanilla ice cream

Comes out tasting like lemon gelato

Another is:

~3.5% coconut (tfa I think) ~1.5% chai tea (tfa again, I think)

Nice coconut chai mix :)

If you like that, an option is to use it as a base.

You can ramp it with Super Sweet, brighten it with lemon flavors, accent it with other fruits, etc...

So I’m a complete noob when it comes to DIY. The place I usually order my eliquid from is closed for obvious reasons so I decided to try to DIY and ordered the below just based on strength and flavours I like but not sure how many drops/mg to use to make this work. The kit comes with syringes and a measuring jug. Looking for a 70/30 or 80/20 mix

1 litre of 70/30 VG/PG mix

10 bottles of 70/30 nicotine

Flavours (all PG)

2 x Koolada (I like a cold eliquid)

Apple

Tropical fruit

Strawberry Kiwi

Passion fruit

Grape juice

Dragonfruit

Cloudberry

Red grape

Hey guys, a week in to DIY and ordered a couple of flavors to mix a juice that I didn't end up being much a fan of. Any suggestions on what I could do with

INW cactus, TFA dragonfruit, INW grape, TFA koolada, FA meringue, INW raspberry, and CAP sweet strawberry?

Also any staple flavors that are super commonly used?
