First mix as a newbie - Success
submitted over 5 years ago by TriggerMuch

Just mixed up my first batch of a simple apple jolly rancher recipe, and man.. I wish I got into DIY years ago. This juice is on par with pretty much any commercial juice I've bought, and for a fraction of the cost. Not only that, but I had measure using drops (which is not ideal at all) and I still had a great outcome. Cant wait for my scale to arrive from amazon in a month. So anyways, I just want to share my thanks for all you guys who've built this DIY community into what it is

Oh man try out a recipe called Watermelon Jelly Rancher by Chrisdvr1

5% LA watermelon

2% CAP jelly candy

.25% FA lemon Sicily

.75% CAP super sweet

Let it sit for a few days and baddabing baddaboom tasty watermelon candy

That sounds amazing, have you tried it without jelly candy? I dont have that on hand, wonder if I have anything that I could substitute it for

I haven’t made it without the jelly candy but I believe CAP jelly candy is supposed to add more of a mouthfeel than a flavor. I guess you could just mix up 10ml without the jelly candy and see what’s up

Also the watermelon flavor in this mix, to me, taste exactly like Sonic’s watermelon slush. Great with some WS

Sounds interesting for sure, Ive got purilum watermelon instead, but Ill definitely give this a try later today. Ill let ya know how it goes. Perhaps I could use a little INW cactus for that mouthfeel, and to bring everything together

Also I’m curious what flavors you used in your first juice. I want to make a simple green apply jolly

Heres the one I used, its not close to an actual jolly rancher, but I like the flavor profile regardless. - Again, I had to use drops to measure, so my creation is probably different than what you'll end up with - I also added a few drops of Cap super sweet, and a little WS-23 for a menthol hit. https://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/194171/Jolly%20Roger

It actually reminds me a bit of the old bazooka green apple straws on ice that I use to vape on

Interesting I’ll try this after work. Thanks! I shall also add super sweet and ws

WS-23 has 0 menthol or flavor. It is a flavorless coolant. I assume you are using Koolada = WS-3, which has that strange flavor.

Ahh my bad, I've always called chilled ejuice menthol. I have WS-23 theres no flavoring to mine, just adds the cooling sensation

Yes I also use WS. Didn’t like menthol or Kolkata Edit: I just got what he was saying about a “menthol hit”
